I have some additional factoids to add to the iceberg: - The King of Sorrow's voice actress in Lunatea's Veil is still unknown as of 2023. It was thought that it could've been Mariya Ise, who voiced Killua in the 2011 reboot of Hunter x Hunter, though this is purely speculation. Unfortunately Phantasy Reverie Series has failed to address this problem, as the actress is still not properly credited. - The King of Sorrow was possibly meant to be a foil to Klonoa at one point or could even be a part of the same species, as they have similar character designs and voices, hinting that there was a possible connection between them. - Cabbits are a fictional animal commonly used in Japanese media, especially in anime. Namco-Bandai has confirmed Klonoa's species is a cabbit. - Lolo's voice actress sadly died back in 2011 to ovarian cancer. When Phantasy Reverie Series was announced, fan art dedicated to the late voice actress was made in her memory by the fandom.
Pretty sure Klonoa's special has never been specified, as any try to give it a name has been followed by Klonoa's creator denying it. Yeah, Klonoa has been called a Cabbit in some platforms, but it's never completely official.
One more observation about Hyuponia's theme: The theme actually represents Klonoa's determination quite well, the distorted sounds (probably representing Klonoa's own sadness) play only on one half of the song, while the other half is clean without distorted sounds and leitmotifs of other songs, representing Klonoa's own determination and ability to move on and accept his own sadness, coming to terms with it. Klonoa is a strong boi.

I wish I'd seen this video sooner. I only ever played the Klonoa games a few months ago with the remake/collection. You did q really good job on this video, it's clear you have a lot of passion for this series! I discovered this particular Iceberg when I found another Klonoa iceberg back in DeviantArt but when I showed the iceberg in the Klonoa discord, they pretty much told me, “yea, we got a better Icerberg for you”. But yea, the lore of the Klonoa series can be as crazy as the Kirby series’s lore.
Man, I got the phantasy reverie series, and while it took a bit for me to see why people love it, I did like it enough to keep going and suffice it to say, I am getting into it. Really loved both games' end parts and endings and enjoyed the OST and the worlds themselves. I found the gameplay to be really cool and would love to play the GBA games as well as the Wii remake and the original PS1 release of the first game. I also really like the character designs. It has a sort of Sega feel to it, especially the Dreamcast era. Klonoa especially, I believe has an awesome and recognizable design that feels cool in that 90s kind of way without trying to be too cool

I think the Wii remake might be a lot more harder to get a hold of nowadays but hopefully the GBA games are more easier to come across though you can probably just emulate them I am sure (or not, I am not sure) though hopefully Namco can release some handheld Klonoa collection one day but only time will tell.

It covers some topic like guntz backstory, the theory about klonoa's memories being wiped after every game, and some... questionable theories that i found that doesn't make sense or whatever.

You must know, I have been looking everywhere for this type of thing, also, fun fact. I am currently working on a fan game, sure its not usual for a Klonoa RPG, with my own type of story and all. But I am sure people might like it.
I can relate. I guess it is one of these situations where I went “fine.... I’ll do it myself...” and that is AMAZING MAN! I see a lot of potential with a Klonoa RPG. Klonoa Heroes looked like a fun Action RPG though it is a shame we never got it in the states though I am not sure if your fan game will be like Heroes however, if it is another kind of RPG than yea, that is also cool.
The RPG is nothing like Heroes. It is tied in with another one of my Projects, (which I am too embarrassed to release being of a bit of- well it was made when I was like seven.) The series I called Seven Souls. It's basically all of my favorite series tied into one story. Which is a dream. Several aspects have been altered, like one, Janga from Heroes and the priestess are childhood lovers. Klonoa and Lolo ended up falling in love after the second game's story ended. Klonoa learns how to travel between dreams whenever. He learns how to bring people from one dream to another easily. (As you can see this stuff was really jumbled in a mess) so I am trying to straighten it out so I can make it into an RPG. The many things that were included of my childhood fantasy was DragonBall, Monster Hunter, Majora's Mask, Klonoa, and my own characters. The main character isn't actually Klonoa though, but Lolo. Because she was my favorite side-kick character.

But maybe once their ip's get stale we might get a renaissance of these games, but for now Mario and Mortal Kombat it is (story wise MK is not looking too good right now, so the 3D games will always stick with me). Turns out Encore is basically a remake of the first two games and they are build from the ground up not just ports but brand new games even the first game has models that are based on the PS1 version so yes all your favorite characters will look like chibi babies. :)

The reason why I haven't mention 3, not because I don't like it, my opinion wouldn't really affect anything in that regard, it is because that game had a really different development and direction from the other 2 to the point that I'm not sure if they would include it if they were to remake the World series, especally since it wasn't released in japan from what I heard.

Man, I got the phantasy reverie series, and while it took a bit for me to see why people love it, I did like it enough to keep going and suffice it to say, I am getting into it. @@NitwitsWorld I really love the first 2 games so I would love a remake of both games. The reason why I haven't mention 3, not because I don't like it, my opinion wouldn't really affect anything in that regard, it is because that game had a really different development and direction from the other 2 to the point that I'm not sure if they would include it if they were to remake the World series, especally since it wasn't released in japan from what I heard.

Honestly, I don’t concern myself with that. Every fanbase will have “those kind of people” no matter how big or small. I hate judging anything purely by fanbase since I feel like it is a disservice to the media I am talking about and the people who worked on said media.
