I rarely tire of hearing them speak of their processes, mainly because THEY can deliver!! Miss too many to mention now, a rough few years 5+ for losses of some goodies.
Garry and Jerry were neighbors and filmed their shows side by side on the Sony Lot for years. The Larry Sanders show and Seinfeld show. The shows came to an end concurrently in the year 1998. This footage is actually from the period when Jerry was filming "Comedian," his documentary released in 2002. It seems evident that Jerry has provided Larry with this footage exclusively for his personal utilization. Now that's a good friend.
Garry and Jerry, two of the greatest in their field. What a privilege to be able to watch this 'behind the curtain' talk. I could listen to these discussions about the minutiae of the craft for hours on end. It occurs to me as I'm writing this that it could be construed as deeply sarcastic. Let me assure you, it isn't. As i was typing, suddenly my internal dialogue became facetious as it read the words back. And now I've completely lost the thread of why i was commenting in the first place. Anyway, i love comedy etc.. (Shit, there i go again.) I'm going to bed.
Love to learn the craft from these greats. I had no idea being funny was so difficult? I guess everyone should try standup or team sports? No awkward shower time in standup.
How cool would it have been if Seinfeld turned this into a regular series..documentary style chats with comedians about the art of comedy. Comedians getting coffee is a great show but I really enjoy the serious, nitty gritty conversations about the art form of comedy.
I never liked Seinfelt for his sitcom or his stand up really, but now it seems he's aging into something I appreciate. Never thought he'd obtain any status with me back then. That awards show speech of his was priceless, wasn't it?
Jerry’s DNA bit is actually a thing. Richard Dawkins wrote a very influential book in 1976 called “The Selfish Gene” that describes evolution from the perspective of genes and not individuals or groups.
Nealon is the voice of truth in the room, everyone else is coddling Garry's insecurity. Garry is a perfect example of how repulsive neediness can be...especially in a comedian. Given all his problems, he achieved a lot. I don't want to hate on the guy, but his vibe is just so "meh."

It makes me so happy when I stumble upon clips of cool folks I miss. It’s even cooler when there clips I’ve never seen.
Shandling was never properly recognized. I really loved his stand-up from the start.
Absolutely love this! Big comedy nerd here, discovering this chapter.
Absolutely useless stuff, shame it interrupted me doing nothing.
Chris Rock has the most punchable mouth. Thank you Will Smith!

That’s what happens when you make a ton of money on a silly show. You begin to think you invented comedy.
With these two it's more than comedy, it's philosophy.
A truly fascinating glimpse behind the scenes of comedy and an equally fascinating look into the minds of comedians. THANKS!
I love it's Garry Shandling Show. it's the most underrated sitcom ever
Larry Sanders Show?
@@marknoble5495 it's Garry Shandling Show from 1986-90.
Larry Sanders is awesome too
How would you describe the Gary Shandling Show compared to Larry Sanders? I've watch a lot of Larry but none of Gary Shandling.

The irony of how comedians take comedy so seriously.
I love watching the expression on Garry's face. He is really thinking.

This is a time capsule
If Garry just went to the hospital that night instead of waiting to the morning he'd still be here.
What? Really? Oh man!
He wanted to but his driver was busy and couldn't drive him til the following day.
Brilliant on every level. ❤️
Legends.

great video
God Seinfeld is really smart... A comedy technician
“What a great night”
This is priceless.
This is peak content, whoa
I see such a stark contrast between jerry and Garry. Jerry’s is constructed but Garry’s is being in the moment.
Haha, “haha auhw jeez...” - “my wife says,” “How come you never mention me in your act”
Ohhhh, Garry Shandling
Verne, Barry and Marty
Shandling was so great
