excellent video Jose, very helpful and it has me thinking about checking our seal and what I might do if it is wearing out. Thank you!!! Some feedback - the music drove me potty, too loud and very, very distracting. I liked the way you showed the schematics with the pros and cons - great and you likely know that you needed more light on the guy. thank you again!
Jose, thank you for sharing what is out there in the market place when it comes to shaft seals. I would like to mention another option. The NORSCOT DRIPLESS SHAFT SEAL SYSTEM. Though it does not fit your criteria of being able to swap seals while in the water (requires a haul out) it does have unique characteristics setting it apart from the brands you show in your video. Norscot is the only system that uses ATF as a lubricant making it an independent system (not reliant on water injection from the engine or seawater for lubrication). It seals using 3 nitrile rubber lip seals inside a bronze housing with tight tolerances (simple effective design). Norscot has been going strong for 30 years on all types of boats all over the world. Feel free to find out more at: norscotshaftseal.com or email bill@ibsenco.com. Again, thank you for educating the boat owning public!
What's the background music for?
Learning process. I have since improved quite a bit where I use music and where not.

Hi Pauleen! Thank you for the feedback. I will re-do the video with the adjusted music levels. Still working on refining my videos.
