Crazy how just some insane meth addicts or thugs are scary than most enemies in modern horror. Hell, even a bear manages to make one of the most tense scenes in the second game. This game really nailed the dread and atmosphere that horror games need. Wish this series got the love it deserved.
As much as the story may have taken a slight nosedive, condemned 2 is still one of my absolute favorite horror games. The doll factory alone is still one of the creepiest levels I've experienced in a video game
Condemned A.I was ridiculously ahead of its time. Enemies hide around corners to ambush you, circle around the level to sneak up behind you, pull items off walls to use as weapons, and those fucking mannequins wait until your back is turned before ambushing you. The enemies in Condemned are far more terrifying than zombies that just shamble at you, they are intelligent yet deranged humans and act scarily realistic for a game that's nearly 17 years old at this point. A modern remake of Condemned with improved graphics, physics, and gore could honestly be the most terrifying game ever made.

Also in F.E.A.R 1, the enemies attack from behind when you don't notice them, throw grenade when you stand too much in one position, have meaningful and helpful conversations for strategizing your attacks! [I think their AI feeds from your character's POV,position, shooting regions! THEY ARE FAST!]
Don't forget how two or more enemies can actually turn on each other if you get them to hit each other enough times. It's both useful and kinda funny tbh 😆

I remember writing to Red Barrels (them guys behind Outlast 1 & 2) pleading them to take helm when Monolith stated that they are ready to sell the franchise. Sure by the end of the second game the plot is "snooker loopy" but there have to be some resolution dammit!

This game didnt sell well thats why it got abandoned. If i had time to invest to myself to learn some coding maybe i would have tried to port this game to pc
what i really like about condemned is the style of the setting of the game locations atmosphere, it's very gretty, dark, very eerie when walking in game, subway, alleyway, dark narrow rooms, there's just something about it that's creepy in a very good way, besides Outlast, they hardly make this type of game anymore, i mean the location settings.
Hands down the best horror games I have ever played next to Dead Space 2 (I can accept that may be heavily opinionated). The character designs, sheer terror, and creepy atmosphere that never wavered all came together to make such incredible games. Shame we didn't get to see a 3rd game or remaster/remake but I'm glad people are keeping this franchise alive!
Honestly, I always thought the tar and the creatures in it were what the Oro were trying to stop. They do mention they're spreading violent tendencies for a reason; to stop the spread of an even greater evil. Since Thomas has his "chosen one" bullshit, he's getting an early glimpse at what disruption of the Oro will cause long-term.
I played the original Condemned way too much haha, one of my all time favorite games. There was a leaderboard for kills in the game and I was number 7 on the Xbox 360 lol.

It was my very first game on Xbox360 that I got the day of it's release and I don't regret a cent. Very great atmosphere and a game that provides you sensation, not like almost all those soul's empty open world of today. Fun fact : Condemned 1 didn't had the traditionnal 1000 points on Xbox360 but just 970 :D :D Which completly messed up the score of the achievements hunters like me at that time (not counting the multiplayer dlc who add 250pts so switching some games to 1250 instead of 1000 ^^).
The Butcher Lady reminds me the owner of Tom, from Tom and Jerry 🤣 Love Condemned! To this day i still couldn't get the second one for PS3. Hope i can play it some day.
I have never seen any other games like this (especially modern games!) and I could say confidently 🙂👌 : Monolith games (mostly FEAR 1 and Condemned 1) have the SMARTEST AI and relentless enemies (aside from Outlast 1&2)! They know how to fight and strategize their tactics in group work!

I love horror Games and the first Condemned is my favorite. Second was great with the Environmental finishers but explained to much with the story. I like how the first one messed with my imagination.

Condemned was a special game. I liked the sequel, but the first one was much better as far as mood and ambience are concerned. In a way I’m happy the series didn’t expand beyond the sequel, as I feel it was turning too action oriented and the mystery of the first game was being diluted.

i am playing condemend criminal origins 1 recently the game is very fabulous and make with afert its also make easy for player when some ai if they are even little bit diffrent then each other like if addict and vegrant see each other then they start figthing until one of them is dead same with crawler and sand hog and burned one sand hog always attack addicts and crawler and thats why i some how like that big guy some how the game makers made him to help us and i always let them because game health mechanic is not good as i thought player will take so much damage and even get killed bye weak ai sometimes even bye an addict or vegrant so ai vs ai is pretty good but also i thought first time i play i was thinking that the thugs also called addict and vegrant are spawn and minions of serial killer we have to catch but then i saw the serial killer also fighting them all and one time in metro station he was running away from sand hog dont know why i think because he scared of that big guy also sand hog and burned one are pretty durable thats why you not go and take a fight with them alone if you see other ai around you you should let the big hog kill him and when his hp goes low go for killing blow as i was saying that sand hog and burned one are very durable but the butcher lady is more durable and stronger then both of them so i was thinking if there is hog or burned one around there i should take his help but unfourtunatley there was none bad time but after 3 times dying bye her ugly hands i able to kill her in fourth attempt so i like this game pretty much it was horror but not enough to scare me i only play this game to smash criminals head thats all
