      I'm an airline mechanic. Basically, a difference in pressure on the wings create the lift. Same applies with propellers/turbines, which creates thrust, or lift going parallel to the ground

    But how does it work in the rain?

    • @ErnestJay88
      @ErnestJay88 8 ปีที่แล้ว +27

      water molecule is vaporized BEFORE they can reach combustion chamber due to hot gas during compression process.
      water vapor are just air, because water is hydrogen and oxygen.

    • @Mohdr90
      @Mohdr90 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      exact same principles just that the water molecules have different properties..

    • @Anthony-td6mn
      @Anthony-td6mn 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Engines are designed so that they can run with water. It would've already evaporated and any remaining liquid particles will not affect the combustion a lot.

    • @AlecsanderHoppe
      @AlecsanderHoppe 8 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      when it rains you do not breathe?

    • @Audio456
      @Audio456 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      TheoneGodfather the combustion is sufficiently hot to not put the engine out, but flame outs due to unusually large amount of rain water have happened. Also with high bypass engines , where most of the thrust is generated by the blades which don't occupy the engine section i.e. Bypass, much of the water is just ejected by the blades and doesn't enter the compressors and combustion sections. The engines also have a spark set up to ignite fuel if the amount of rain entering is large.

    hey air what do u get in return helping to propel a plane forward

  • @Jaydenwhip
    @Jaydenwhip 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Does the air that bypasses the combustion chamber get it power and speed from the spinning fan blades?

    • @dufonrafal
      @dufonrafal 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      pigs make Bacon the fan act as a propeller and most of the thrust comes from that.
      The primary flow (that goes through the compressors, combustion chamber and turbines) mostly provide the engine power.
