I suggest going back to Roy's press conference and specifically watching Rebecca's reaction to the story about the lost pregnancy, and to Keeley's reaction to what Roy's saying. The performances and the editing are 10/10. Also, how about Rebecca giving the same tough love speech back to Roy that he gave her in S2E1 about getting what she deserves in a relationship? SO good.
I think the camera (and acted reactions) mainly focused on Rebecca. I don't think her reaction was triggered by the lost pregnancy per se (that's not really Rebecca's own issue) but that she was actually proud of Roy overcoming his previous... let's call it what it was... cowardice. Remember, she got to know Roy pretty well last season (admittedly some of it off screen) through Keeley. She LIKES Roy. You can tell, other than his eventual treatment of Keeley. Keeley's own reaction was IMO deliberately underplayed, since Rebecca's speech to Roy was what needed resolving. Keeley's view on this may come up next episode though.
Well after a while, I have finally subscribed. I want to say that I’ve actually watched a ton of your videos because I specifically searched for Ted Lasso reactions and I’m really glad I did. You both just get it. You understand the direction, the characters nuances, the production. You are constantly on point with your analysis and you pick up on hinted moments that become huge plot lines and that truly isn’t easy. Thank you for your input on this amazing show. If you guys ever want to give up TH-cam/reaction videos (pls don’t but also we’d understand) I truly believe you’d make excellent additions to film production just based on your ability to read a scene. Cheers to you both.
Wow well first off thank you for watching and for subscribing, it truly means the world. I appreciate the kind words I never know if I’m spouting nonsense or not in the analysis and stuff so I’m glad it’s coherent 😂 nobodys ever said that ab film production, you think? I’m fascinated by this kind of stuff, a lot of the reason I started the channel! Again, thank you seriously for your support and the wonderful comment. Cheers to you!
Ayee appreciate the kind words!! It’s so much fun doing these with Wilson and the fact everyone is enjoying makes us both so happy! Glad we were able to earn the sub!
Beautiful, perfectly done. The A, B and C plots... all of them. I liked that the writers were smart enough to leave us wondering about Isaac's motives, but then SHOWED us the reason, through his interaction with the loud fan, rather than simply telling us (although he later also told). Then in the B plot, the show was brave enough to have Roy be clearly wrong, clearly even a bit cowardly, then make up for it later in spectacular fashion. I even loved that REBECCA was the reaction the camera focused on in the press conference rather than Keeley. And the Nate plot was very minor, but still very edifying about his changing priorities. They're on a huge roll with the last four eps. Huge.
Totally agree, storytelling excels when it’s “show don’t tell” and really enjoyed what they did with Isaac. The Roy stuff was great as well, Ik some ppl don’t love Roy this season up to this point, so I felt it especially important for Rebecca to basically roast him for how he’s acted up until now. And can’t cheer for Nate enough!
I am cold on the Nate/Jade storyline but her description of Rupert as "seems wealthy and nice-like" is just SUCH a delicious burn. It sounds like a compliment by using nice words to just completely destroy him. I approve very much of that.
now THIS is the ted lasso show I fell in love with. loved, loved the episode. looking forward to your reaction, thanks for uploading fast as always (: EDIT: I dont see Nate back at richmond but maybe with another team in the league. Or Rupert has a heart attack and Nate takes over ^^
Rupert is a classic narcissist - when he perceives a rejection, he will retaliate (like with Rebecca). Nate is in for some passive-aggressive gaslighting (because he "rejected" Rupert). Will be interesting to see what form it will take.
I thought of you two when I just finished a podcast interview of Jason Sudeikis. He and Brendan (Beard) are huge Arsenal fans. Brett Goldstein (Roy) is a Tottenham fan. They wrote into the scripts a Tottenham defeat or fumble (can't remember which) as a dig at Brett. LOL
We're on a nice streak?? Okay Mr. Arsenal 😂😂. Great reaction as always! When I watched it I didn't even notice that the idiot fan was wearing a Richmond kit with the Dubai Air logo. Good catch.
S1 Nate would not have corrected Rupert when he called Jade “Kate”. This Nate is standing up for himself. That will make for interesting scenes because Rupert does not like to feel like he didn’t win a contest.
The problem with Nate coming back to Richmond as manager is that his toxic style of management would not work. Everyone at Richmond from the players right down to the kit man is respected and because of it total football works. Nate doesn't know how to man manage so relies on humiliation to get his team to do what he wants. He is a great tactician and it's working so far but, I'm guessing he will lose the dressing room which will result in them losing the title.
I hope so because we haven't really seen any follow through from the way he's been treating the team being a bad thing. Which for a show that focuses so much on that team spirit, feels like it needs resolved.
How do you know he is still a toxic manager? The only time we saw him being toxic was in one episode. After that, we really haven't seen him in practice. We also saw him buying food for his players that one episode. We also saw him gradually being nice to Roger. In the first episode we saw him dismissing Roger almost immediately. Now he talks to Roger like a decent person.
@@hikhik6441 I don't but, given that he's only known Rupert's style of leadership his whole career then I'm going to hazard a guess he thinks it's the right way. Rupert's legacy at Richmond was a toxic dressing room with a bullying culture. As both Rebecca and Ted gradually changed the atmosphere of the club for the better, Nate was the one who couldn't adapt. He was horrible to Will when no-one was looking and I'd love to see if he's the same to the kitman at West Ham. I gave him leeway when he was nasty to Colin but, he only apologised because Beard made him. This week's episode also made me wonder how he would have handled such an explosive secret. The guy couldn't be trusted with the secret of someone who gave him his big chance. He doesn't like Colin grudges so, it wouldn't have surprised me if "outted" him at a press conference. I do like Jade's influence over Nate but, the writers are going to have to do a lot more to convince me he's worthy of stepping into Ted's shoes. His feeble attempt at trying to recreate the "Diamond Dogs" at West Ham epitomised who he is for me. He didn't do it because he wanted to be friendly with the guys, he did it because he was the one with a problem. When it didn't go his way he decided there would be no more meetings. All the main characters have had their own episode this season so, I hope they do one for Nate so, we can really see if he's changing as much as they're hinting.
Hey guys! You are the BEST reactors to Ted Lasso on the internet…I think you deserve 10K subs! I loved this episode…except for as a lifelong Kansas City Chiefs fan and 30 year season ticket holder, I could never cheer for the Broncos…even if it was to support my best friend. (Just another reason Ted is a better person than me!) 😂
😂😂 I understand, gotta do what u gotta do. Thank you so much, that means a lot especially with all the great reactors who cover this show as well. We’ll get to 10K soon!! Appreciate you watchin
I predict that Michelle and Ted get back together. I haven't seen note on this but what woman says Paris was just ok? She has always wanted to go there, so what happened that it was just ok? Maybe she wanted a proposal and was not proposed to, leaving the door open for Ted who tells her EVERYTIME he talks to her that he loves her. Maybe they even move to England and be there together.
i don't think so. Parris is honestly just ok. Regardless, even if Michelle had a good time, it makes sense she wouldn't tell Ted that, she knows Ted is upset with the Dr. Jake situation, and doesn't want to make ted feel worse. Maybe Ted and Michelle will get back together, but that wont feel natural or realistic based on what the show has and has not showed us.
I think the ideal end game for West Ham is that Bex divorces Rupert and gets control of the team, so Nate can remain a head coach, but under somebody who isn't a psycho narcissist.
Do you suppose the Baklava is going to be a metaphor for Jade? Will Rupert make a pass at her the way he helped himself to Baklava without being offered? He is such an entitled worm.
I think it's a metaphor for who Rupert is (a taker, he takes the dessert without asking) in contrast to who Ted is (a giver, he makes pastries for others) It's all about father figures with Nate. It's about the choice he's ultimately going to have to make, the paths he's going to have to choose between: that of the giver or the taker. And of course he will choose the Ted Lasso way.
Love Ted’s lesson about caring instead of “not caring”.
Me too! Feels like such a unique way to put it, not just the usual “we support you!” Really enjoyed it!

I did not even think about that I gotta go back and watch! And yes the struck by lightning speech you’re right!
The way so many characters intertwine and have storylines with each other is amazing. Your spot on!
You two are my favorite Lasso reviewers. You get the nuances I sometimes miss.
Thank you! That means a lot there’s a lot of awesome ppl that do these, appreciate you always Comin back to watch!

11:12 yes that's the guy who Rebecca fired before she hired Ted. the rest of the guys are real-life football pundits.
Yea awesome! Can’t believe I didn’t notice until now 😂
I agree they did that Colin arc perfectly, Nate gonna take over at Richmond. Rebecca is the absolute best thing on the show
The first player in US professional soccer to come out as gay was Collin Martin. I wonder if the Colin character was named after him.
Ahhh good catch I bet that’s definitely intentional!
Yep really enjoying him this season, and I could definitely see Nate taking over! Agreed, Rebecca is great as always

fairy toffee i see Rupert more of a getting-crushed-by-a-gigantic-potato kind of guy
Thanks so much! Loved this ep too, a rupert heart attack wouldn’t be the end of the world…😂😂 appreciate you watchin!

@@ItzWilson2 I expect it will be something predator- like i.e. going after Jade

I would be there in a heartbeat if they ever gave us the call haha
Boy, Trent Crimm's book is going to be a blockbuster!
I’d honestly read it despite knowing what happens haha
I wonder which Season 3 episode the TL producers will submit for the writing Emmy. I think it’s a toss up between the Amsterdam episode and this one.
As much as I loved the Amsterdam one, I think the writing for this episode was better.

I’m really hoping for a scene where Nate tells off Rupert!!
HOLY F, I never realised (even after watching some reactions), that that fucking Fan still had the Dubai Air Shirt on, thanks man :D
Yea man idk why I noticed it right away haha, tells you what you need to know ab him!
Beautiful episode.
Couldn’t agree more!
Ned is gonna be fired. And then he’s gonna go support Richmond in the final match and then eventually get hired when Ted leaves
I hope he gets fired haha I’d love for him to come back to Richmond!
Nate will quit when Rupert starts trying to seduce/steal Jade from him. Book it!
Could totally see it, need Nate to tell off Rupert ASAP
This was a great episode
Rebecca spitting truths.
It really was, season 3 has been poppin off!
As she should, she’s got the best advice
