Honestly I think part of the reason Isaac got so mad at that fan was to draw attention. Colin is right beside him when that fans calls them the slur, and Isaac immediately says "What did you say to ME?" I think in his mind, it was his way of trying to draw attention away from Colin and help to protect his secret.
23:50 I had a childhood friend come out to me in High School because he was attracted to me and wanted to ask me out. He did and told him I wasn't interested but I could sense he was devastated. I told him,"I know that must've been hard to do. Asking anyone out is horrifying to do. But you're my friend still and I'll be the best wingman you'll ever have!!" He got married last year and I stood as one of his Groomsmen. I sent him that scene and he said,"God, the world is changing. I'm glad."
@@franciet99 he once asked how I felt about the situation. I told him," Me? I'm flattered, I'm attractive between multiple sexes. Why would I be upset with that?!" He laughed hysterically!!
@Anne Rayca I'm just lucky to be raised by amazing people, both friends and family. But stories like these in media are reasons why change happens, and I feel that's incredibly important. People can scream "woke," but I always say," So you're just sleeping then?? I would rather be awake, aware, and adjusting, then asleep."
I loved how the reporters were just as into the guitarist debate as Beard. Also when Rebecca first asked I was wondering why Beard didn't do it but then it shows the press conference and it's just pure chaos, just hilarious.
“It’s just PoooPeh” floors me every time haha. Also, the music is beautiful, every time the piano starts playing when Ted is giving his talks, just starts the tears flowing. I miss this show!
The Roy press conference is one of my favorite moments in the series. Roy's mistakes pale in comparison with how he makes up for them. That scene is a beautiful illustration of who he really is. Or rather who he was always caoable of being. Its kind of funny we get Roy moaning at another point in the season about the effect Ted had on him (relative to making bad jokes) but here we see the real effect. Not necessarily Roy's empathy--he always had that--but him using storytelling to make a point. Kind of like how Ted does it...
I've never liked "We don't care," and I could never exactly articulate why. Because it IS supportive. But Ted's Denver Broncos speech absolutely brought it home.
I think that “we don’t care” can feel dismissive to the person who has lived with that internalized fear for a long time even if the intent is supportive. The Broncos speech is a wonderful way to articulate why “we do care and we care about what you were going through” acknowledges that pain and shows support.
I saw an interview with Cody Rhodes (he’s a professional wrestler in case you don’t watch wrestling) awhile back. He is in an interracial marriage with a lovely woman. They were having a conversation early on in their relationship where race came up (she is black) and he told her he is colorblind to race. Much like the “we don’t care” part here, she told him “if you don’t see my race, then you don’t see me.” This of course means that she felt he was turning a blind eye to her struggles as a person of color in the United States and while he thought that’s what she would want to hear, what she needed and wanted was an ally who would fight with and for her, not tell her to ignore people who were being racist. That stuck with me, just as much as Ted’s talk about the “we don’t care”/Denver Broncos thing here.
The writers do nothing by accident. It was brilliant choosing the Richmond opponents to be Brighton and Hove Albion today. It was not by accident at all. Brighton the city, and its people is known for its openness and inclusivity to all, and has a large gay population as a result. Lovely choice by the writers to recognize that fact as well. Incredible writing. Plus, I do love their football team. Up The Albion!
I'm really looking forward to your reaction to the finale. It's super emotional in the best possible way. You're one of the really sincere reactors that make me almost feel like I'm also watching for the first time. You'd be a hoot to hang out with. Looking forward to you being an emotional wreck in the finale (in a good way).
Ok, I've been loving your reactions since I found your channel from Arcane, and I have to say...the icing on the cake for me as a product of the 80's/90's and an avid basketball fan, is that I don't think you've missed a single NBA inside joke in anything I've seen you react to. Absolutely love it!
your background tetris today gave me good feelings like a cat plonking down right beside my leg and allowing me to serve as its fur messer-upper for a while
I think Nate dodged a bullet there. He knew right and wrong is not just something you think or feel, but something you practice with your actions. He escaped from one of the darkest place of the human psyche, and he's on the way back to being someone who doesn't have to spit at his own reflection anymore. And Nate's actor is doing a great job.
Love all your reactions to this show! Seeing you react makes me feel like I am also reacting for the first time! Thanks for all the wholesome uploads! 😊
This show does so many brilliant things to walk people through both healthy and unhealthy behavior/relationships. Wish things like this were around when I was a kid and feel like this will be one those things that moves us forward.
Funnily enough, just today Phil Dunster (Jamie) described himself as a "mostly straight man" in a BuzzFeed video 😂 never beating the bi Jamie allegations
♥ how Jade is always unimpressed by everyone! 😃 ♥ Rebecca this season. Always putting place in their place ♥ Sam teasing Jamie! ♥ Roy talking to Isaac. ♥ Ted 'I do care' speech! ♥ Roy's press conference! ♥ finale scene with Clin & Isaac!
I'm so glad you showed as much emotion with these last episodes as so did. I just don't get why other reactors don't. To me, they're a little dead inside. Kidding but not kidding.
haven't watched the episode 10 round up yet, so don't know if you mentioned Colin's speech to the team. I love how Colin told the team and not us the viewing audience. as Colin said the team are enough.
I think Zava and Shandy represent people who come in to our lives quickly and just as quick vanish but changing us. I know I’ve had people come in to my life who were even good for me but then just leave out of nowhere.
Phil is the most prominent cast member to not get a nomination in S1or S2. EVERYONE I've seen comment on this is crossing fingers he gets the nom (and maybe the win) this time.
Months have passed since this reaction and bravo for your facial and positive opinions. So related to this topic there is another British film named 'Pride' which will also make you laugh and cry. Please do a reaction when you get the chance it will not disappoint you including the hilarious Disco Dance scene. take care
Yeah, the whole Issac thing was very much a trust issue. I think it was pretty predictable because of what the show is about. I really love the way Ted brought it around and how it does matter to care about who people are and to support them as you would like to be supported for who we are (as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else). Rebecca getting Roy to realize what he's doing with his life was great and I think she's talking more as a friend to Keeley than his boss. So good.
Although I'm pretty sure that was an Eric Dier reference since Brett Goldstein is a Spurs fan. Also another Spurs reference in this episode was Isaac and Colin fight in the pitch (Hugo Lloris and Son Heung-min in real life).
The thing I liked most about "Total Football" being introduced in this series is that Ted Lasso figured it out on his own without realizing it was a thing that already existed. He took a basketball concept and figured out how to make it work for soccer (football). Through most of series Ted has shown that he is a great motivator, but delegated the strategies to Beard, Roy and Nate. But we got to see that he can also be a good X's and O's coach/strategy coach too. He knows his players, he knows what they're capable of, he knows their chemistry, he has figured out the game and he knows that "Total Football" will work for them. A bit of character growth.
In Sunflowers you could tell Beard, while responding with typical calm, was a little overjoyed to see Ted actually do some work on that end of coaching and remind everyone he deserves the job for more than just his motivational speaking.
Damn girl, you figured out Isaac's problem a lot quicker than I did. I spent most of this episode in tumult over the idea that he might actually be homophobic.
If you "don't care" about the thing your friend or loved one has kept inside as a secret and has caused them pain doing so, you're not a good friend, brother or sister. Offering support is so simple.
"Ron Artest vibes." Wow! I don't know why I'm surprised that you pulled out a "Malice at the Palace" reference, but I was. Now do we think Isaac will eventually change his name to Meta World Peace?
That scene in the locker room is probably the least realistic thing in this whole show (albeit very touching). In reality top football teams aren't even close to being this ready and open-minded even today.
Americans maybe don't realise that hardly anyone is out in football. Plenty of gay players but nobody will admit it. One of the few areas of British society where it remains unacceptable. If anything Isaac's eventual reaction is rose-coloured
Nate to Colin, S2: “You don’t inspire.”
The announcer, S3: “an inspirational turn from Colin.”
"What is it about me that made you think you couldn't tell me?"
Ted's influence on Isaac really showing up there. ❤

What a beautifully raw and vulnerable moment between two friends. I am so grateful that was your reaction. He’s a lucky guy.
I loved how the reporters were just as into the guitarist debate as Beard. Also when Rebecca first asked I was wondering why Beard didn't do it but then it shows the press conference and it's just pure chaos, just hilarious.
I love Higgins pushing beard out
That “hairy ass” scene is some of the best comedic timing. Unexpected.
Isaac's "He's right...we're cowards" kills me every time
“It’s just PoooPeh” floors me every time haha. Also, the music is beautiful, every time the piano starts playing when Ted is giving his talks, just starts the tears flowing. I miss this show!

Well, they said that they would win him over and he would be furious about it 😂
I've never liked "We don't care," and I could never exactly articulate why. Because it IS supportive. But Ted's Denver Broncos speech absolutely brought it home.
Completely brilliant

I love that Roy says "whistle" instead of getting a plastic one. It's so Roy Kent!

I love Roy’s realization that he can’t just say no to his boss, he tries to palm it off on Ted, then the most insincere “I’d love to” ever.
your background tetris today gave me good feelings like a cat plonking down right beside my leg and allowing me to serve as its fur messer-upper for a while
Fur messer-upper is a great term. I feel I shall use it for my own cat in the future. :)

I love the little look of pride on keelys face during the press conference even though they aren't together.
The fact that you said Ron Artest vibes!!!! I love you so much. Such a good reaction. ❤😂😢😊😊

The wonderful writing a long with the amazing soundtrack. Breathtaking
Oh man, the second I heard George Hearn's voice at the end, I didn't even try to hold back. I was singing along with gusto. 😁😁
The one with Nate's Tetris ornament. 🥰
If you look up the plot to La Cage aux Folles - the title and the songs chosen will make more sense.
I'd like to see Angela react to, at the very least, The Birdcage.

great reaction! love seeing all the character growth throughout the series!
As a straight Denver Broncos fan who watched both those Super Bowls... I genuinely don't know if I should be offended or not lol
23:30 From someone that just moved away from Denver after 13 years, it's a fairly good analogy. HAHAHA
Of course, Rupert is awful, but Anthony Head is brilliant at portraying him... he says so much with only his face @26:00.
Lol, whoa! First knowing the Iverson rant reference off the bat and now Ron Artest! Fellow NBA fan! Two of my favorites too! You rock! 👍
Although I'm pretty sure that was an Eric Dier reference since Brett Goldstein is a Spurs fan. Also another Spurs reference in this episode was Isaac and Colin fight in the pitch (Hugo Lloris and Son Heung-min in real life).
Stairway is a glorified fingering exercise... its also guitar practice.
“Ron Artest vibes” caught me completely off guard 😂😂 #MaliceatthePalace
What did I tell you about this episode? One of the best

This 3rd season right away touches my...feeling
The team game together at the same time the Tetris pieces came together. Coincidence? I think not!
If you didn't know, the guy who plays Roy is a stand-up comedian. He has some stuff on TH-cam if you search his name.
Damn girl, you figured out Isaac's problem a lot quicker than I did. I spent most of this episode in tumult over the idea that he might actually be homophobic.
I think rebecca absolutely had to yell for roy to listen.
Friday night reactions... i like it and with a ros... no no with Beers!!! haha ;)
oh and now the next one. awesome

Just remember Colin and Issac are best friends. It’s more didn’t understand why Colin didn’t trust him. Ponderous is delaying and slowing down
Oh, wish I could watch this tonight but it's almost midnight and I've got a big weekend ahead. 😢
Yes please!
"Ron Artest vibes."
Wow! I don't know why I'm surprised that you pulled out a "Malice at the Palace" reference, but I was. Now do we think Isaac will eventually change his name to Meta World Peace?
Is it me, or have your Tetris lamps increased in pieces?
Oprah still has a magazine?

This show went from good corny to bad corny.
