      Hi Massai, thank you very much! Yeah I agree, as of the review I have one and love so much, I am pretty sure that STELLA is the one you can even enjoy reeling at home :)

    Excellent review. I own 5 of the 19' Vanquish's in various sizes and 2 of the 23' Vanquish's. The only difference I feel is the 23' doesn't have the floating ease of start-up inertia as the 19' Model, however, with the upgrades on the 23' it's basically even to me. I really feel that if you own a couple good 19' versions, It don't feel it's worth the money to upgrade to the 23' model. Just my opinion.

      Thank you :)
      I can actually see your point, I think those are a bit different and some people absolutely like 19 over 23 for sure.
      Speaking about 'inertia' it's the power to keep spinning as you know, and I still feel 23 V's is definitely lower than 19's as 19 rotor keeps spinning a bit longer than 23.
      But yes 19 is definitely lighter to start spinning, which I am assuming because of Infinity Loop - that requires more gears than cross wrapping.
      To me those are different reels, and therefore there should be tons of peoples' likes and dislikes.

      @@jpfishingtacklenews195 I agree. They're different reels but both are excellent options. The start-up inertia on the 23' is still lower than the 22' Stella or the 20' Vanford; at least with the reels I own.

    Thanks for the review!
    Personally, I buy expensive reels to enjoy fishing and not to constantly checking my line management. I have no idea why they decided to incorporate this slow oscillation, but it brings more problems than solutions as I can see.

      Hi, thank you for watching! Surely that's the big point of where people like or don't like. I can't say this is a good reel or not good only from this point but as of this video, I had the issues couple of times for certain conditions, so I would just say if you don't like it, leave it and get others. If you like, go for it :)

    Infinity loop is a big problem for Shimano in my opinion!!! It's a huge credit to Daiwa....I was comparing Stella 22 and Exist 22 - Daiwa Exist was the clear choice.

    Thank you for a great review! I have a 22FK 1000 Stella and love it! I am wanting to replace my old 2500 Ci4 Stradic. Is the Vanquish 2500SHG similar in size to the 2500 Stella HG or 2500 Ci4 please? Or should I be looking at a 3000 MHG Vanquish please? Or do I take the extra weight and go with Stella 2500HG... Decisions, decisions....

    • @jpfishingtacklenews195
      @jpfishingtacklenews195  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you!
      If your Stradic Ci4+ model is "2500HG" then the body size is pretty similar, but has deeper spool than 2500SHG. It's a bit tricky though JDM only has 2500 size shallow spool which only has capacity of braid PE#1-120, and overseas model has full 2500 size spool with capacity of #1-320.
      C3000MHG can also be a good choice as the weight is only 170g comparing to Stradic Ci4+ 185g, with line capacity of #1-190m.
      If this is too short then you can select C3000XG as well, the same weight but capacity is #1-400m.
      So the point is:
      1. How long you need to spool? -> the longer the bigger, or other way around.
      2. Do you need sensitivity or strength? -> sensitivity: Vanquish, strength: Stella
      Vanquish body has great strength, power and reeling torque for sure by Infinity Drive, but the spool is not as strong as Stella of course.
      Hope it helps :)

      @jpfishingtacklenews195  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you very much 😊
      Basically it depends on your preference and the rod you are planning to match up, but I would personally select 24 TwinPower for light rock fishing, as I would prefer to have reeling power with metal rotor than sensitivity of this Vanquish, because rock fish can go into the structures once they bite straight away, and you'd need to hold up tight and pull them up harder before too late. Moreover you can have chance to hook bigger fish than you target all in sudden on rock fishing. But if you would need more sensitivity for using light soft plastic and you need clearer information from under the water like touching bottom, catch small bites etc etc.. then Vanquish might be your choice.

      As SHIMANO says both Stella and Vanquish are the flagship models, which means they are the top of each categories - Coresolid and MGL. To those are really different, where as STELLA can be used more for tough, strong or larger fishing types as the weight is heavier but the roter is rigid due to metal material. More durable, tougher and rigid, is the STELLA's characteristic. Vanquish is more for lighter and sensitive fishing types such you need to concentrate into catching more information from under the water, like native trouts, blackbass fishing with soft plastics, eging, etc.
      You can even catch 1m over spanish mackerel or jewfish with STELLA but if you use Vanquish, I would imagine the rotor could have some issues from 2-3 fights, just from my past experience :)

    Vanquish 3k or exsence 3k for light saltwater fishing?

    • @jpfishingtacklenews195
      @jpfishingtacklenews195  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Of course both can be used. The biggest difference is to have Infinity Loop or not from me, so if you can manage line well and wish to have 2-5m of extra cast distance then Vanquish, but if you don't want to worry about it, then maybe Exsence.

    • @philipfalco7304

      I own both the 19' Vanquish C3000MHG and 2 of the 17' Exsence c3000MHG and I'd definitely go with the Exsence. It has stronger gears, saltwater sealed and a really strong/responsive drag. I can't speak for the 21' Exsence. I don't have one but the 17' model is bullet proof if you can still find one.

    • @jpfishingtacklenews195
      @jpfishingtacklenews195  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@philipfalco7304 Thank you for your comment.
      As 17 Exsence is based on 16 Vanquish, which is full MG metal, therefore the body is absolutely stronger than 19 Van. I am not quite sure what you mean by "Saltwater sealed" and "Stronger gear" only for 17 Exs, as 17 Exs / 19 Van / 21 Exs / 23 Van all have X-Protect, 17 Exs has previous Micromodule Gears but all others have MG2, which maker official says more durable than MG1. Not quite sure yet for Infinity Cross' durability just yet but at least, 22 STELLA's gear does not have any issues since the end of 2022, which 23 Van also has.
      14 Stella, 16 Vanquish, 17 Exsence all are not quite difference in between (comparing to the latest models), those were built on the quite similar designs.
      But from 18 Stella / 19 Vanquish / 21 Exsence, SHIMANO separated those models even more obvious, such as Core Solid - Tough, Strong and Durable, MGL - Light and Sensitive (21 Exs is a "custom version" of 19 Van to me). So, 17 Exs is much heavier than 19 Van / 21 Exs.
      Of course, if you think 17 Exs is the best choice for you then yes that's great reel, and maybe you can get one for cheaper price for used.
      However only one thing, I would not think older models' gears would be stronger than the latest model, as gear's durability is one of the biggest theme for all reel makers, and obviously, newer models' gear lasts longer than old ones in my experience.
      Conclusion for me, comparing to 17 Exs / 19 Van / 21 Exs, if you don't care the body weight and want full-metal body, surely 17 Exs.
      If you wanted lighter reel - lighter spinning, lighter weight, 19Van / 21 Exs can be better. Those reels are not for fighting with monster fish, but for small - medium size and those have good enough strength to fight with :)

      @@jpfishingtacklenews195 Thank's for the explanation. First off, I have 7 Vanquish's and 2 of the 17' Exsence and 3 Stella;s. They're all game-changers for me. I use the 17' Exsence c3000mhg or the 19' Vanquish C2500SHG, 2500S (With a C3000MHG spool for extra drag power) or just use the C3000MHG for all my soft plastic applications (Texas rigs, tubes, and on and on) but for me the Exsence just feels more solid and balances well with most of my rods and at 7oz even, it's not heavy by no means and I just feel more power when winding and the drag feels stronger and more responsive than any of my other reels and it weigh's 1/2oz. less than my 2500 Stella. I use my 19' and 23' Vanquish in the c2000s and c2000shg along with my 19' Stella 1000 and 22' Stella C2000SHG for Trout/Panfish and smaller Bass on my UL or Light rods. So, in closing, I just prefer the 17' Exsence when I really want a strong hook set on bigger fish. I can just flip a 5LB. in the boat with NO problem or worry with that reel. And remember, the 17' Exsence was originally branded Sea Bass for a reason.

      Hi! Well I can't find the exact rod Exsence S86M, but assuming it'd be around 130-150g, so I would use Stella C3000 or Vanquish 4000 depends on your target. If your target is like seabass in Japan then I would use Vanquish as that type of fishing won't really need hard and rigid reels but sensitivity would be needed more, but if you use your tackles for tougher condition and/or target that you don't need such sensitivity, then STELLA will be better for sure.

      I see.. If you could think of both Stella and Vanquish and from your details, I might pick Stella to be honest, because you don't really keep flicking lures hundred times, don't even need such sensitivity from Vanquish. Stella has full metal body + metal rotor which has great power to reel and also it could last longer. Next is the size of the body and really depends on how much line capacity you wish to have, but from your information, I would go with C3000XG + braid line PE#1.2-1.5, 250-300m approx.

      Thank you for your comment!
      If I say about the product quality, definity 23 Vanquish is better. For personal preferences, if you don't mind about Infinity Loop, 23 Vanquish is better on all section, that's the highest product of the MGL series and it has more variety of model range as it is the general purpose reel against 23 EXSENCE XR is set to be used for Seabass fishing.
      If you don't like Infinity Loop and like the models of 23 EXS, then 23 EXS will be coming up on your choice, as I felt the Infinity Loop can be a bit tricky on specific cases.
