For the saltwater finesse I would use LT SF as I wouldn't mind having Mag Sealed and wish to have water resistance :)

Overall you can do the same thing with both of them, but line selection can be a little tricky for 23 Vanquish especially for lighter line. And the reeling is slightly heavier on 23 model, but it is a little stronger and smoother. Yes they have the same line capacity, PE2.5-300m. Just a different concept in between LT and SW, to have ligut but tough or high rigidity.

Depends how big it could be? This is my personal opinion but this could fight well up to 10kg but I wouldn't use for larger species, I would have higher level of reels to have better drag.

Sure will :) Just so you know that's the entry model and therefore it can be harder to fight with larger fish. Personally, I would not use for big fish like GT, Kingfish, Mulloway, Amberjack, Groupers, etc as the body won't hold great power well.

@@dale-fi1fi Oh ok thank you for clarifying further :) This is totally my personal opinion but I would then use Legalis or Lexa, I don't know the tench but know how strong carp could be, and I would at least select Zaion V body over the Revros DS4 body.

It really depends I assume, I see some in Japanese fishing shows sets left-handed but at that AFTA Gold Coast Australia got right handed for the most reels. I also see right handed use for lots of occasional fisherman.

Actually no, the DAIWA official says the spool is customized for braided line so the mono lines can damage the spool. Tatula TW 300 may be better with those lines.

Semi order system is the thing that you can select each parts of the reel as you like. You can select combination of body, spool, handle arm, handle knob, handle cap, and the knob to create your own setup. Just one thing, this looks only available at JDM.

Ah well looks similar probably, though the black Certate looks more metalic sparkles though. But the inside is quite different, though it's literally high cost haha.

Oh thank you very much for letting us know it, yes you are right it's our bad, the handle arm includes 2x CRBB, so we don't have to buy them separately,, so the price will become \1,000 less :)

It can be next year 2026, but still unsure, as there is kind of rumor says new Stella might be delayed to 2027, and recent Daiwa marketing sets the releasing year to the same year of rival model of Shimano. At least currently we have no information so far.

Great! It all depends on the line capacity you wish to have as both can cast ok for big baits like 2oz or so. The MD 200 has mono 12lb-165m/braided PE3-150m and MD 300 has mono 16lb-210m/braided PE4-180m :)

To be honest, I personally agree, the previous 2019 Vanquish was quite light but the new 2023 Vanquish is not that much.

We expect the ST SF is better to catch information from the lure, but I would personally think that's not that different, so probably good to select from your target fish size :)

We are not quite sure about Canada dealers but Shimano Canada also introduces this new Ultegra so your local store may have one when it's out? Or we can ship out to Canada once it's out in JDM if you wish.

Yes the Saltist MQ is SW based model, I personally assume the Caldia "SW" was likely chosen with the Shimano model name in mind for JDM, same as Certate SW. And that SW is more to be used for heavy-duty reel, though it's an initial of Salt Water at the beginning, which only has 4000+ sizes. But Saltist and BG MQ are based on "SW" reels, but also have smaller sizes as well, that's probably why they don't have SW in their names.

The Caldia LT body is made by Zaion V and the Caldia SW has an aluminium Body. Moreover the Air Rotor seems slightly different, the normal Air Rotor is lighter but not that rigid, and SW model Air Rotor is heavier but more rigid as LT Air Rotor is made by Zaion V as well, while SW rotor is made by DS4, special reinforced resin slightly weaker and heavier than Zaion V.

Well it's still new and not coming out so this is my personal expectation but personally I think the BFS model can be better for such quite light weight. DC brake is like an automatic brake system, so easy to be handled, but not so much customisable, and the BFS spool size is slightly smaller.

That could possibly be resolved by changing the line to harder coated lines, I experienced that at Vanquish, so I changed the line to DAIWA Dura Sensor X8 Si3+, and has no issue since then :)

Yes, as mentioned in the movie SF has Magsealed. ST models are without it.

Well they do in certain timing, for example Nexave renewed at 2021, Sedona at 2023, Nasci at 2021. Thinking about the renewal cycle Nasci and Nexave could possibly come in later this year.

We are afraid we can't figure out what size you are after, but the new one has LT5000C, which holds PE2-300m. More than this will be the range of SW heavy duty spinning reel such as Caldia SW.

Well it depends? The model we used in this video is MHG, the medium depth spool model and of coures C3000XG has more line capacilty, 4000 / C5000 have even more :)

Thank you very much for the kind comment! :) While it hasn't been released yet, I compared the reeling power of the Vanquish and Airity as a 'metal body + light rotor' pair. I felt that the Vanquish was slightly stronger than the Airity, although the difference wasn't particularly noticeable. This could be the comparison result of TP XD and Certate LT, thinking about the structure, but we'll definitely see that when the new TP XD is out and we get it :)

@@jpfishingtacklenews195thank you sir. For ease of retrieving, winding and smoothness do you think the original twin power c3000, or coming Twin power xd c3000 or vanquish 4000 would be better as I want to have a reel of 200-215g to match with my light Labrax 86ML rod.

@ Ok, well then I would use Vanquish 4000MHG (or 4000XG depends on the gear ratio and line capacity you need) as I assume you would not need such reeling power from the metal rotor, and not that heavy duty using seabass ML rod. The big difference of Vanquish and TP XD is the body material, Vanquish has strong and light magnesium, which needs special coating not to be corroded, and TP has aluminium body which is heavier but stronger against corrogion. Unless you use the reel at rock shore or something that the reel can have scratches easily, I would select Vanquish :)

If you meant the bottom game with soft plastic with jig head or some light game like that, then I would use Caldia over the Ultegra to have lighter reeling. If you meant to do the drop shot bottom bait fishing, then I would use Ultegra to earn further reeling power. Hope this helps :)

Yeah personally I think the same, while Shimano supplys almost of all the parts by separate order. The DAIWA staff told us that is to prevent the issue happening from DIY maintenance.

Well yeah we experienced some issues you mentioned, but we also have some reels that Magsealed does not have any issues for 3+ years for now. Wonder why. For the materials I assume the Caldia is not for the high-load use and is a budget reel, and the Lexa LT could be the one for high-load but affordable :)

For the retrieve power, I would say normal TP should be lighter. But if it's a lure with low water resistance, XD reel might feel lighter.

@ Hmm.. still depends on what's the most important thing for you, but I would possibly use XD if the lure does not have a front cup or lip, as they won't have much water pressure and XD can possibly catch more information from inside the water. But if it has cup and/or lip, I would use TP to have power for better retrieve control.

Ah yeah they can be pretty similar, but just those are for different purpose. They usually make Tatula brands for freshwater bass fishing, and Caldia is for general-purpose including saltwater, that's why Magsealed is featured to the Caldia but Tatula. And yeah, the new Caldia could be based on 23 Tatula MQ :)

Well it can come this year, but personally I would expect it'd come out at later this year, as Shimano and Daiwa generally release dedicated / specialized reels at autumn / winter.
