You are possibly the most knowledgeable, well spoken person when it comes to higher priced gear. I dropped Zebco and bought Shimano because of you. You were right; now I know. Thanks.
Totally agree🥳. And with that I’ll add a question 😂. I-fish. With your knowledge, what fishing reel would you use for sea-trout fishing? Higher end 🏴☠️. I’ve watched a lot of your videos and enjoyed them all🎉. Thank you for sharing 👑
You forget to mention that line weight people prefer. My dad likes my 1000ssspg, but refuses to go lower than 4lb so I bought him a c2500sxg vanquished since it's rated for 4,5,6 lb test line. The 1000ssspg is rated 3lb and lower.
even if u the spool was deeper... if u fish with 4 lb line u probably don't need 1000 size reel. Its not just about capacity of spool. That tiny reel is about using very finesse tackle, tiny jigs and all that, and people fishing with thick line usually do a different kind of fishing. I am surprised u bought him a vanquish, as probably he doesn't really need that, and then he really doesn't need the XG model. Nobody needs XG model, no matter what fishing u do. I have never figured why that model even exists. I think for some reason it is appealing to bass anglers
@@ifishcatfish this year ran into the need of a high gear reel. Well 2 of them....a 3000 for asp, which loves fast moving baits, and a UL 2000 for mountain rivers when casting up stream a spinner and having to retrieve line quite fast to make the spinner do its magic. Cant make up a good enaugh reason to buy either since its too specialised and i can make do with what i have. But i know some guys that fish only for asp all year round and met some people that only go trout fishing. So XG models really fit those kind of fisherman.
The vanquish reels are some of my favorite UL reels and I do prefer them over my exist 2022 reels but the exist SF is something totally different. I haven’t gotten to fish mine yet but I will soon. Great video.
You’re the only channel that has constructive comments on the difference of these JDM reels. Thank you! Do you have any reviews of the Cardiff trout reel?
Hi, first of all I am living in Germany and although we have different fishing conditions than in the US, I really enjoy watching your videos (especially about reels). I am also into trout area fishing and tacklewise there are many parallels to UL fishing at your place. You often like to use your Daiwa Luvias LT as a kind of benchmark. I also own two and there are professional reel tuners who regrease them and also remove the Magseal. After that they can compete with the top priced Shimano reels.
I got all 4 reels the daiwa exist lt 2500 the daiwa Luvias airity lt 3000 and the shimano Stella c2500shg and the vanquish c2500shg I cannot find anything different they are all so damn good reels the difference in my opinion is one lighter than the other that’s it
TwinPower is aluminum frame reel.. its not for ultralight fishing... and i have not enough time to review everything and focus on ultralight these days..
I am searching for a reel stella or vanquish, rod 3-14 gr and going for medium fish but now hearing y finally the stella is coming soon ❤ I have 2 twinpower fk,stradic and curado , all are good but the stella is smooth and very nice , another level and now i will only use stella 😀
@@ifishcatfish update the stella fk C3000 have arrived 🙌 in love whit it for perch and medium fish and the other one the fk 4000M have for pike . All I can say is amazing want all my rells only stella is like butter 🧈 and so good quality thank for your video 📹 keep going ❤️

Awesome information here 👏 Just wanna ask , I know its kinda late . Just got my vanquish c2500s , just wondering if I can use a 2500S Spool on it? Will it affect performance wise? Thanks and I appreciate it.
Which one would you recommend and what JDM rod would you pair it with for a trout rod? (In a 1000 size)? I’m assuming vanquish? And is it noticeable improvement over an size 1000 ultegra?
Your comment is important to me I'm thinking of buying this reed Graphiteleader Corto Prototype 22Gcorps-782ml-Hs 2.34m Fast 20g Medium Light and with this reel Vanquish 2500S FB What do you think? greetings from Turkey🤗
Have you personally touched a Van Staal? Feels HORRIBLE. Might be strong, might be waterproof, but is the NASTIEST reel i have every touched! Feels worse than the boat winch on my trailer.
Good points made. It has to be added though that the S3000SHG Stella I bought for my 14ft float rod became noisy after a half day on the bank. I got rid of it and bought a C3000SDH Vanquish to replace it. I missed the glitz of the Stella though so bought a C2500S for a 10ft bomb rod, it’s so far stayed silky smooth and very quiet. Only when I tried Small Game PE HG braid did I realise how quiet it was - it’s silent compared to mono.
@@mihalachecristian I would say the vanquish as it’s so light and free of resistance. I now have two stella c2500s which i use for feeder fishing and they take a bit more effort. On a light match/float rod I much prefer the Vanquish. There are so many spinning reels from the Ultegra FC upwards that I think make great float reels, as long as you can do without backwind.
I found the exist to be a beautiful and super lightweight reel but your dead right in the viscous dragging feeling just isn’t there with the shimanos! And honestly they all feel too big and bulky! Compared with a cheap vanford 500 on a plume!
