How can each episode keep getting better and better? Randi is amazing. It is so wonderful that people like her and the others that you have interviewed are keeping these beautiful crafts alive.
Once you buy Arne’s grandmother’s farm and build your cottage you will be able to use it for your base while doing the Setesdal embroidery classes!!!
I love that you can each speak your own languages/dialects and understand each other so perfectly. If only the whole world could be like this.

Tuned in while having my lunch and all I can say is : THANK YOU! Your Setesdal videos have been so informative and interesting. What a great video! This one really hit the mark for me and if I could I would make reservations for winter classes now! Randi is a pleasure to listen to even though I do not understand a word - and thank you for the translations, of course. And to make it all so interesting...I received my recent DNA and I am 5% Norwegian (along with some Denmark) ! What a happy day. BYE!

It was inspiring to hear Randi talk about the craft of Setesdal embroidery and how it was done in the past as she was watching over both of you. What a wonderful spot, sitting on a wooden bench on a sunny day in Rygnestad farm in gorgeous Setesdal. It was so serene.
Randi is such a lovely person. She is a source of inspiration, knowledge and passion.
I also enjoyed hearing both of you speaking in Norwegian. Again, my compliments to Carlos for the translation!
Thank you for all the hard work put into this series. It has been a wonderful journey so far.

I love Randi. She is passionate, as are all of your guest stars!
I’m fascinated at the idea of pulling out the canvas and then adding the finishing details. I’d imagine it adds dimension and depth. I’d love to see a demonstration of that because I can’t picture the canvas removal.
It would be interesting to see this countryside in winter. Meantime, I noticed some lovely wildflowers in the background. Xx

On my fathers side are my grandmother (from Norway) and my grandfather (from Sweden). They used to speak to each other in Swedish/Norwegian on and off and I miss it. I remember my grandmother embroidering and hooking the braided rugs when I was little. I have the special hand made hook my grandfather made for her. I want to knit the sweater you boys are wearing and to embroider the meaningful symbols attached. Love these sweaters of all the ones I've seen you wear!

Every single episode of this series has been a joy to watch. Lucky me in America, I get a look into the world of Setesdal and learn it’s craft history. It’s all magnificent! You had mentioned in an earlier episode, wondering if people would be bothered by subtitles. My response is no 💙. It’s more challenging to knit and read subtitles but listening to you speak Norwegian only adds more to this blissful experience. Thank you for producing the series and sharing your beautiful country.

Fabulous episode! You have reminded me how wonderful it is to sit and learn embroidery from an expert. I sat with several Karen Hilltribe ladies in Thailand whilst they embroidered their traditional clothing, I had my own embroidery project with me so I pulled it out of my bag to show them. One of the most highly decorated ladies patted the floor next to her so I spent almost 3hrs with them, comparing stitches, exchanging threads and some beads too, it was joyful and fascinating! I didn’t speak Karen and they didn’t speak English but we communicated easily via embroidery. It looks like all 3 of you enjoyed spending time together too. Tak! Be well, Sally 🌹
