As one of the people that was fooled by mr. daniels lies.. im furious! i personally think he should face perjury charges.. this is not ok! i guess this is one of those lessons that you can never take anything at face value... this was certainly lesson learned for me.

I’m upset that judge Simpson didn’t order him to pay all that money back to those organizations that took time and money out of their pockets to assist him. He could be truthful about those doors being locked prior too but we wouldn’t even know because he decided to come forward and lie for this duration of time

I saw through Mr Daniels at the first hearing, the landlord didn’t strike me as someone who would lie and forge a signature, but I feel no sense of victory, I just feel bad for Judge Simpson, for having his kindness thrown in his face, for the landlord being reviled by Lawtube and for all the people who went to bat for him. It erodes your faith in humanity to deal with people like this.

The first video he had me unequivocally roped in feathered by my sympathy, concerned for his simultaneous well being as well as his handicapped physical status and no where to go ultimately..
The sequel video rolls in after the first video to now learn he did irrefutabely take money while volunteering to give up his apartment on the exchange.. Damn..

The whole thing is an act. Girl is pretending to be sick or “not here”, but she knew what she was doing when she brought out the attitude not wanting a judgment against her.

That was a 180 degree turn. The last time this guy was before Judge Simspon last week it looked like the landlord was in for the beating. I didn't see that coming either.
Landlord got slaughtered and made out to be dodgy and deceitful in the show-cause.
Tenant should have had some sort of repercussion for lying so much.
What a peace of work, he took advantage of the judge, his compassion and kindness. He is scammer. What goes around, comes around. Shameful. The young lady, I am floored, almost incoherent and unable to talk but wanted to ensure there wasn’t a judgement against her. Not sure if she high, or manipulative, playing the victim or is she genuinely unwell.

Wow I was feeling intensely bad for Mr Daniels. Now I feel really dumb!! He tried to swindle the landlord by taking the money and then going to court and lying under oath about it..he just didn't count on there being a video. He showed the true nature of his character when he agressively argued & interrupted judge Simpson. He's lucky he wasn't charged with perjury.

That man is dangerous and truly wicked. So scary to see the confidence and ease he beguiles everyone around. Not a drop of remorse or shame - and this he did in court - under oath, amongst lawyers, social workers, police, a judge- on TH-cam - like butter wouldn’t melt. The father of lies would admire this guy’s work.
The 1st part of his story must be seen to really appreciate his skills. Watch out- he’s walking around amongst us - sly as a fox.

I'm so sick of people using mental health issues as an excuse for conduct and/or the predicament they're in.
I have a mental health diagnosis: DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder formerly Multiple Personality), Bi-polar 2 chronic, severe , with psychosis, PTSD, and a couple of more minor diagnoses.
I managed to graduate college with 2 degrees, hold down a job (until my psych doc said no more and I went on disability), raised our son, be a wife and so on. And yes, I've been hospitalized several times due to my mental health.
Not once have I ever used my illnesses to not work or to get freebies in life.
There has been many a time where I've been knocked down, but I always get back up and carry on.
And you know what? I'm so thankful for all that I am and all that I have. I am truly blessed.
We always tell our child their diagnosis is an explanation of their struggles, but not an excuse for their poor choices.
I hear you, I'm similar, much the same story. Oer time, ive concluded that the difference between those use MH as an excuse versus those of us who don't, is often down to 1 or 2 reasons, or both 1) insight versus lack of it; 2) access to quality MH treatment- medication for those if us who need it, and therapy. I live in a country where the bulk of all medicines are free or heavily subsidised. But quality therapy is a barrier. The public (free) therapy has waiting lists up to a year, and the number of sessions is limited. Private therapy, easier to get apps, but costs the equivalent of $US 300-400 a session
@@anovemberstar In the US, most of the people we see on channels like this one qualify for Medicaid, which is provided by taxpayers to those who are very poor. It is free or nearly free ($1 co-pay for most prescriptions, $0 co-pay for almost all necessary medical treatments).

This made me sick. I was really rooting for Mr Daniels with the situation that was portrayed to the Court, and he lied accepting the money to end the lease. This is so beyond wrong...

Yeah, that's because the landlord was unlikable. It's good that the commentators on here are not judges, lawyers or basically anything to do with the courts, because basing a legal judgement on likeability is pretty dangerous.
@@jamesrowden303 After watching so many of these trials, I've already concluded I'm far too heart centered to ever believe I'd be able to effectively adjudicate or effectively represent someone I knew was guilty.
I was coming at this situation based on my experience with the mental health community. I've witnessed countless legitimate Mr Daniel's Slumlord situations. That said, to your point, I've never seen someone , like Mr Daniel's with the ability to advocate for themselves as well as Mr Daniel's EVER! I am hearing myself Mr Rowden. 😳
I've never set my calendar to follow up , either. I did for Mr Daniel's. Like many on this thread, I too was thinking of a GoFundMe or sending some money in care of Judge Simpson for him. I'm glad it was a thought. I was waiting to decide on until I saw how Mr Daniel's made out today.
I can't speak for anyone else but I know I learned a lot of valuable lessons today.
Find something else to listen to while I'm doing needlepoint.

The “confession” case would be more effective if it had the previous 2 short hearings. The first him crying to the Judge that he’d been locked out of his appt for no reason and can’t get his meds or clothes. Then the show-cause where the Judge rips into the Landlord. Saying he’d have to pay the Tenant £200 a day and also pay the homeless place who were housing him. Belittling the Landlord saying he was lying that he’d given the tenant £400 twice to end the Tenancy early. Tenant smirked the whole way through it. Lagging drunk. Was also then given back the keys of the property.
I actually think the Judge should have apologised to the Landlord. 😊
The confession man only confessed because the Landlord produced a video of him accepting the money.

I'd reserve judgement on the woman who says she has a chronic illness. She said she had just got out of hospital. Some chronic illnesses can wax and wane, leaving you absolutely exhausted. It's hard to find work if you are so ill . I found working from home was great for me. Her medication could be causing problems, especially if she has epilepsy.

@@cheriberry6347 Judge Bryant don't play the show up on Zoom anyway you want. If you've never had the privilege of witnessing her in action, I highly recommend her courtroom. Judge Simpson, Judge Boyd, and Judge Bryant are my favorites.

Simpson should have apologized to that landlord for how he treated him the last hearing. He basically made up his mind that the landlord was guilty. What a shame. That’s why I personally never trust tenants, especially when they aren’t paying their rent. They’ll do/Say anything to keep from paying.
Agreed. The judge should have apologized but he should have made Mr Daniel's apologize but made to do community service hours to pay back the court fees, landlord costs, the mental health place that put him up AND a few extra hours for being a liar

To be fair, just because we didn't see Judge Simpson apologise in the video, doesn't mean he didn't apologise at all. Also, I'm pretty sure it's his job to make up his mind about who's in the wrong and who isn't.
Either way though, if I were the landlord, (I might be wrong but I guess I can only speak for myself here) regardless of my treatment in the 2nd hearing, I'd probably still be very happy with my overall experience of the court considering the judgement.

I'm sure Judge Simpson is looking forward to taking his vacation soon (which is why his felony docket on Aug. 15 is being moved to Tuesdays, which is usually a preliminary exam day). He's had quite a few cases over the past couple of weeks which have raised his blood pressure.

I watched 2 videos about this guy being locked out can't believe he lied but his landlord still sign bit paper tht he shouldn't have
At this point, both parties have unclean hands so the judge probably did the best thing and dismissed the case entirely. My guess is that Mr. Daniels has gotten away with this before but did not count on Judge Simpson and the landlord having witnesses and video.

Starting at 15:20 where the judge's left eye starts twitching as he struggles to maintain his judicial impartiality and professional demeanor... Then his change in posture, slumping back into his chair, resting his head on his hand, and moving the chair left and right to self-soothe... It took him literally one minute - 60 seconds - for him to display the body language that tells us he had settled into a cold fury, which he had every right and reason to be feeling. OMG OMG OMG

I suffer from multiple chronic illnesses all incurable but treatable. Some being chronic pain conditions. Yet i can conduct myself at almost all times. Im a SAHM and homeschool 2 children. This girl is using her issues as an excuse to not have to do anything for herself and clearly overuse medications to where she cant even hold herself up. Absolutely sickening!

I found myself wondering if there could be a way that I as a viewer - and other viewers - donate $5-10 to a fund for Mr Daniel's to get a change of clothes, his meds, a warm meal and a bed for the night. As a retired social worker it pains me to see such suffering as he was experiencing. I admit a couple statements he made at first didn't make sense but I brushed them aside while silently condemning the uncaring landlord. This case is a rare glimpse into how smoothly a narcissistic conman can shake down not just one person, but thousands. He pretended to be remorseful but only after getting caught in his own web of lies. Perhaps his YT fame will prevent other landlords and social service agencies from getting sucked in in the future. Shame on you Mr Daniel's. If that's your real name.
Cant believe so many people fell for this dudes BS and called the landlord all sorts of names. It was obvious to me the landlord was being truthful.
