Yeah that's a nice car for what it is and I love mazdas . Used to own a 97 626 and that car was like my baby it had everything was loaded but lost the car in a wreck sadly . Main thing I loved was the vents on them would swing back and forth that was so awesome to have I wished other vehicles had that option. If was me I would paint that hood black and that on fender and buff the hell out of that one headlight cause it's terrible yellow looking. And fix some things here and there and drive it but it most definitely needs a good detail. Probably some good plugs and oil change and air filter be good , never know how was treated. I love to buy this car I'm like a hour and something away
I had the 2006 model, great little car, my daily commuter for 13 years!👍.. I purchased brand new from my local dealer and put more than 300 miles on that engine. When I sold it in 2019, still was running like a champ. Sold it because I got tired of driving it for all these years, plus the paint and interior was getting ugly and falling apart. Now I have the 2019 Mazda3 5-doors Grand Touring and ready to use it for another decade or more.

This one is just about good enough to sell, with just a little cleanup. I think this would at the very least make a good spare car to have around when your main ride is in the shop.

These cars are known to have issues with the transmission control module intermittently throwing a code for a shift solenoid and the trans going into limp mode despite the solenoid and wiring being good. I would drive it more just to make sure it doesn't have this issue before selling it.
That reminds me of my car, a Buick, it has a transmission issue that sometimes won't show up for 20 or 30 minutes, other times it will show up in 10-15 minutes of driving
I have the same car in 200k kms and it runs smoothly and I used harshly almost like an offroad car. These are really well made, the only difference is mine is manual transmission.
A.few years back,I bought a 99 Chevy Monte Carlo from a young guy heading off to serve his country. I bought it because of the low mileage on it. He said it kept shutting off and didn't know why. Turns out after I tightened up the battery terminal,it stayed running then. Goes to show, even a loose connection can caused problems.
That’s a jam up little car. Little body work, you’d have an actual diamond there. My daughter had the same car. She put that through a war, and it kept on going. This car is the reason I bought the 2013 Mazda CX-5 the year it released. Amazing car. Peppy, easy to drive. Responds like a second skin. Dependable and comfortable. My daughter’s Mazda was still running strong when she traded it for a 2016 Mazda CX-5, because she had 2 little girls. My ‘13 is still pretty pristine. Hers has wear and tear (inside) from the kids. Mechanically it’s still good as new. These cars don’t get the type of aggressive marketing they deserve. Mazda’s are hard to beat. In my opinion, anyway. Good luck with this. Let us know how things go! (Oh, yeah, what’d you pay? Just curious)
Its getting older, and time is moving forward. Some people dont want the hassle of trying to sell it independently. So they bring them here, collect a check and then leave.
Great little cars. Definitely an option over the Civic of the time with is cheesy "modern" interior and also most American compacts of the time... Harder plastics that the frame of them
My girlfriend has the same exact car Jay.hers is white it’s got 230,000 miles on it and still going strong. The only things she had done to it was two sets of brakes and a Timing belt!!! if I was you I’d keep it.
I drive a 2008 Mazda 3 s grand touring and I absolutely LOVE IT!!! However my a/c took a crap so I had a new compressor put in and it still won't blow cold air so I don't know what is up with that? I bought the car 2 years ago with only 104,000 miles and it just hit 130,xxx. My battery is pretty old now like 5 or 6 years so I should probably be buying a new one. Any ideas on what's wrong with my a/c??? Its black on black so boy does it get hot in the summer with no air!
I did a fluid change on mine and the transmission ran fine since. The dealer said I needed a new one. Mine went into default mode, no manual shift and only 3 speeds. Shift LED out.
I got a 07 Mazda 3s hatch back 5 speed I love that car it's got 180 thousand got every service record and receipt on it I'm the second owner I go threw cars alot but this ones a keeper got it for 1000$ guy thought it had a bad clutch turned out being a slave cylinder
correct, the mazda2 became the iA after it was discontinued in the US, and now the 2020 Yaris is based off it as well this will make a great beater for someone for a couple years though!
I had a 5 speed manual 07 same color from 34k miles to 147k miles. Traded it in on a 2018 Mazda3 w 29k miles for $13k during Christmas 2019. Great deal not worth keeping old 2007. Also I messed up BAD on an oil change. Ran car for several minutes approx 5 min, with only oil filled in filter and NONE in crankcase! Motor still ran ok but harsher noises on the hwy from bottom end of motor. But ended up as a blessing since I found a GREAT deal on a 2018 mid level trim Mazda3.

I don't get why people scrap 12 year old cars and then they say fuck the world for not being good to the environment ...
6:05 thought you got hit lol
Lol
Kyle Mastrangelo 🤣
My college roommate drives a Mazda 3 of that exact year and he loves it
Loving my Mazda CX-3. Mazda knows how to make a SUV crossover!!!!! That 2008 is probably good for another 75,000 miles with maintenance.
I would drive that. Do you have a website?? So we can see and contact to buy??
That's a nice car sad what people throw away.
Its getting older, and time is moving forward. Some people dont want the hassle of trying to sell it independently. So they bring them here, collect a check and then leave.
That’s a nice little car, I like that!!
Polish that headlight and give a good cleaning, she’ll be good to go.
Great little cars. Definitely an option over the Civic of the time with is cheesy "modern" interior and also most American compacts of the time... Harder plastics that the frame of them
I traded in my ‘08 Mazda3 hatchback in November for a new CX-5. I loved my 3! The dealer detailed it and sold it from their used car inventory.
My youngest is going to need a car, I wish you was closer I’d definitely buy it.
I’d just get paint matched rattle cans, sand it a bit and rattle can the hood and bumper- 20 foot beater
That’s a very nice car, they are well built and the repairs were done nicely, just needs some paint and TLC, they very reliable cars👍😎👌
My girlfriend has the same exact car Jay.hers is white it’s got 230,000 miles on it and still going strong. The only things she had done to it was two sets of brakes and a Timing belt!!! if I was you I’d keep it.
Shes's a runner! A good beater for someone. You always get better cars scraped than most of the ones I drive.
Great little car. Noise from the back is probably the anti roll bar links..Very common issue on all 3's..Just replace em and you should be good to go!
That’s an easy $1,000 bill all day long.
With salvage, without ide pay a good 4K
@@gunter7299 lol never
Rich name meant to say without salvage and if it was in better shape
johnny smit I didn’t type right. I have one I payed 4500 for but it was only 100k when I got it
My 07’ Mazda 3i was at 236k before I sold it, and I deeply regret it, these are great little cars.
I did a fluid change on mine and the transmission ran fine since. The dealer said I needed a new one. Mine went into default mode, no manual shift and only 3 speeds. Shift LED out.
Man, id be happy given the car as it is...imo those are great little cars .
I got a 07 Mazda 3s hatch back 5 speed I love that car it's got 180 thousand got every service record and receipt on it I'm the second owner I go threw cars alot but this ones a keeper got it for 1000$ guy thought it had a bad clutch turned out being a slave cylinder
Thats a heck of a deal!
My ex had one of those, but I think hers was a Mazda 6? In any event, I think they are solid little reliable cars, I wouldn't mind having one myself
correct, the mazda2 became the iA after it was discontinued in the US, and now the 2020 Yaris is based off it as well
this will make a great beater for someone for a couple years though!
I have a 2010 mazda 3 and it's been a great car. I barely ever drive anywhere though so it only has 12,000 original miles. I bought it new.
I wish we lived near by I would definitely come by your lot and buy some of these discarded diamond in the roughs, I've had many a gem back in the day from the lots, and some were actually really good dependable vehicles
Nice car. Some cosmetic issues no big deal. Cheap reliable transportation for someone needing a car. An easy resale. Have a good day
My thoughts exactly! Thanks for watching buddy!
Still a nice car
Let’s call this one Rattle Snake 🐍 😂😂
Jay, the only TH-cam that can prenouce it Roof and not rufe!!!
I just bought one in blue same rims and same problem with the driver taillight I paid 900 from scrapyard I did the back shocks brakes rotors brake pads spark plugs the one I got is mint inside and out there is something about people scrapping good cars I got a 09 caliber with 137.000kms for 700 there is some gems out there
Nice little. Car
I'd buy this as is if I were closer. Great little car. They were dumb to get rid of it for scrap.
My cuzzin has this exact same car but a lil newer...these cars run great..I think it's cool your giving it another chance on the road because at 180 thousand she still has a ton of life left in her..how much you asking and where u located? I also like these mazdas to...it's also got the manual shift to..
what a A to B commuter that is...the little ! light is on....What is exactly a salvage title?
