My late wife and I had one of these in metallic red as a rental over Christmas '09, it only had about 1500k on the clock! I remember at the time thinking the styling was a bit *too* modern for my liking; how time moves on! Mazdas aren't the prettiest of cars or the most interesting, but they're reliable, well-built and good fun to drive. And of course everything works, it's Japanese after all! This doesn't look as though it would take too much to make a nice cheap daily for someone. Pity about the front end but I guess the buyer could keep an eye out at the yards for one the same color that's been hit in the rear if they're that bothered - it's all bolt-on stuff.

Yeah that's a nice car for what it is and I love mazdas . Used to own a 97 626 and that car was like my baby it had everything was loaded but lost the car in a wreck sadly . Main thing I loved was the vents on them would swing back and forth that was so awesome to have I wished other vehicles had that option. If was me I would paint that hood black and that on fender and buff the hell out of that one headlight cause it's terrible yellow looking. And fix some things here and there and drive it but it most definitely needs a good detail. Probably some good plugs and oil change and air filter be good , never know how was treated. I can back you up on if the battery goes down things dont work right, lol. I had a 2000 pontiac grand am gt. It started shifting crazy, very hard shifts, the kind that would make you jerk your head. Mechanics kept saying a solenoid in the trans or a sensor for the torque converter load. Either way it meant pulling the trans, disassembly and replace the solenoids. BS, I did a bit of diagnosis, was getting 'high voltage' reading from the engine temp sensor, ok, 12$ and 30 minutes to replace the temp sensor and the trans worked perfect. Issue is the diagnosics circuit is wired in an open loop configuration. Another one was a mitsubishi that ran like crap, owner said they told him mas airflow bad. Battery was bad. Replaced battery and it ran perfect. OBD systems are not always the best to go by.......lol

Nothing a little TLC wouldn't fix. Nice car didn't deserve that end. Hopefully you can get it a good home. Id take it if I lived in the USA . But being in the UK makes it a bit hard. Good easy fix car make a good car for a young family or uni student . I'd replace the damaged bits and the mismatched things . Fix the minor problems. It'd still be a damn good car. And engines great. Trans is fine , shifts perfect, up to speed fine. Clean her up make $1500 - $2000. In the UK you'd get £2300 - £2500. Even in this condition. People here love good Mazda's .

That’s a jam up little car. Little body work, you’d have an actual diamond there. My daughter had the same car. She put that through a war, and it kept on going. This car is the reason I bought the 2013 Mazda CX-5 the year it released. Amazing car. Peppy, easy to drive. Responds like a second skin. Dependable and comfortable. My daughter’s Mazda was still running strong when she traded it for a 2016 Mazda CX-5, because she had 2 little girls. My ‘13 is still pretty pristine. Hers has wear and tear (inside) from the kids. Mechanically it’s still good as new. These cars don’t get the type of aggressive marketing they deserve. Mazda’s are hard to beat. In my opinion, anyway. Good luck with this. Let us know how things go! (Oh, yeah, what’d you pay? Just curious)

I drive a 2008 Mazda 3 s grand touring and I absolutely LOVE IT!!! However my a/c took a crap so I had a new compressor put in and it still won't blow cold air so I don't know what is up with that? I bought the car 2 years ago with only 104,000 miles and it just hit 130,xxx. My battery is pretty old now like 5 or 6 years so I should probably be buying a new one. Any ideas on what's wrong with my a/c??? Its black on black so boy does it get hot in the summer with no air!

I had a 5 speed manual 07 same color from 34k miles to 147k miles. Traded it in on a 2018 Mazda3 w 29k miles for $13k during Christmas 2019. Great deal not worth keeping old 2007. Also I messed up BAD on an oil change. Ran car for several minutes approx 5 min, with only oil filled in filter and NONE in crankcase! Motor still ran ok but harsher noises on the hwy from bottom end of motor. But ended up as a blessing since I found a GREAT deal on a 2018 mid level trim Mazda3.
