Video helped me out. Many thanks, but them tabs are b****! I had to pry each one out with a screwdriver. Still haven't got them all back in, and I'm tapping them with a rubber mallet. They aren't going straight in? I'll try your filing suggestion next.
I they're newer headlights and came with bulbs. Dry them out and replace the bulbs with better ones. Sometimes they inspect these head lights before shipping them out and leave the test bulbs in them. The gaskets on them aren't the greatest and sometimes let the moisture in.
is this an oem product and can you change the regular bulb to a xeon low high bulb? Parents are older and need much better brighter light? if so... which would you recommend for this particular part. Thanks in advance....
+Craig Ellis Denson These are an aftermarket lighting assembly, and should only be replaced with the bulb type the original headlights came with from the factory. 1aauto.com
Sometimes it's the headlight bulbs that can cause this to happen. If they're a low quality bulb the seals may be bad on the bulb. You could try to dry them out and buy a new set of bulbs.
This was truly a great help…but I can’t get the tabs back in. It’s like the headlights need to go in just another 1/2 inch. Any suggestions?

You could purchase a new set of bulbs at your local auto parts store.
Rather than using a file, put a large flat blade screwdriver in slot and pry back. Then while holding headlight assembly in position, pull screwdriver out and put in retaining slide.

Gonna see if I can get at it this weekend. I see actual mist drop on the lens. Even if it hasn't rained. Do you purchase just the bulb itself or, is it in a cartridge?

nice video, good idea to replace the lights and grille. Gonna do it.
On the 1998 Continental there is a plastic cover above the headlights/radiator that goes all the way across.
This is held on by velcro. Just pull up to remove it. The headlight assembly uses only two clips on this model.
Pull them up and remove them.
Then the bulbs can be changed. No need to unplug the harness.

My Town Car does not have tabs. It has small bolts. I got 3 out, and it wiggles some but does not want to come out. I can't find any help on this on TH-cam.

Is there a big difference when you jump to an '04 TC? Same darn condensation issue. Had it with my '01. Driver side.
I thought this would be a pain in the ass… nope! Pull two tabs whole damned light comes out. Works the same for a Continental if anyone is wondering.

i have a 98 Lincoln town car that speedometer doesn't mark the gas and the air conditioning doesn't work not sure why i put some freon on it but doesn't work
how do you find video on fixing 1998 lic town car ,head light sensor which runs the headlites on day and night on or off. mine are staying on in day light . and only can be turned off by switch to off postion inside car

Great video. I have a 2000 Lincoln TownCar Signature series and need to replace both headlights. If I purchase the lights from 1A Auto does it come already with the wiring harness or do I need to transfer it over from the old one? Im assuming I will have to transfer the bulbs. Do you guys have an Ebay account?
+Sean Love Thank you for checking us out! We do have an eBaystore and the assemblies will come with the lens and housing. You will need to transfer the other parts from the old assembly to the new assembly.
I ordered the pair of headlights from your Ebay store and on the picture it has the wiring harness attached. I also called your customer service center and they said the headlight comes with a new wiring harness. You say here that I have to transfer other parts. I am aware of the bulbs but what other parts are you referring to? I'm a little confused.

Where's your rubber gloves?
you don't touch bulbs with your hands , the oil from your fingers will cause bulb to prematurely burn out . so take care of not doing this.
Where do I get the headlight tabs on 1:23? I need four of them
