- I GOT 20 INCH EXTENSIONS!! Hey guys! This week I did something I always wanted to do, and that's to have long, beautiful hair. I got tape-in extensions and I couldn't be happier with how it came out. I didn't just want to make a transformation video so I gave you ALL the pros & cons in case you're considering doing the same! It looks gorgeous and she did a nice job but as a stylist, the whole point of extensions is camouflaging them/making them look real. If done properly using angles/leaving out enough perimeter around the edges, they should be as undetectable as possible even when wearing them up unless the natural hair is super duper short.if there are gaps, more hair might be needed to fill them in. Lots of tips and tricks to blend blunt, short hair with the extensions more so a client is not stuck having to blend both lengths with styling at home daily. If stylists are charging this much for these services, you MUST deliver on making them as natural as they can look. It should look like the client's natural hair.

ou can really good quality clip in hair extensions with a lot of length and volume. I"m talking 24 inches long and 200grams heavy, that will easily last you for like 2 years in that price. The tape in's are just not worth it in my opinion.

I got glue bonded hair extensions many years ago. They lasted a month before my head became so itchy due to all the shampoo and water and whatnot collecting in the new hair growth that you couldn't brush as it was on the scalp side of the bond. And the stupid hair dresser used a darker colour than my natural so it didn't even look natural. Waste of $1000.

I ordered my hair off of amazon for $180 & my hair dresser is charging me $40 to color them & $75 to install them. tape ins are not worth hundreds of dollars to instal. do research and find someone who’s not going to rip you off.
