The thing is, the Lich usually is way too overconfident lol. He takes his time, and plays with enemies, because he knows that he is inevitable. All things will die eventually, on his time.

I would say that Steven could either repel the litch for a while or just counter him….

I don't think it's a maybe. We know healing is how we got sweet pea, Steven would definitely be able to do that. Plus it would match the tone of the show, turning the villain into a friend

For context the Lich’s physical form has been destroyed multiple times but only existence erasure would actually stop him. He is also a simultaneous constant in every universe as he transports a piece of himself to every single universe. I think Lich would win not by destructive force alone but by hax. Finn is the only person who can resist Lich since his soul is the embodiment of the idea of good while Lich is the embodiment of evil. Whats most important to state is that Finn the embodiment of good who slew a multiversal being was barely able to keep his eyes open when the Lich used his command. When he says “Fall.” Its over, steven may have more raw power but he has no defense against the Fall command. And the Lich could just possess his body while hes out.

The point you made about having a soul that "embodies" good would also make any other hero aka Steven have a similar soul that could defeat the Lich. Plus when speaking in terms of vs battles reincarnation as a form of regeneration counts as a loss because you need to die to live again, aka your opponent is stronger than you and thus has killed you
@@rgmoses2189 no I mean Finn’s the literal embodiment of good within lore. He was born as a sentient comet which would seed life within worlds from its conception to the end of time witnessing everything. I don’t mean hes good natured, I mean its an actual ability and the reason he wins so often. Also the no limits fallacy is essentially true for the lich. Thats the whole point of his character, similar to Finn he will be there at the end of time. He existed before existence was actually a thing (confusing I know but its all lore). Also the Lich is already dead, and reincarnation is only if his existence is erased, otherwise he’d just use possession. Finn’s power for good isn’t being good natured, when he died his dog Jake achieved Nirvana because he was so perfectly good, the highest level of peace and heaven which cannot be broken into unless chosen. Finn could not achieve this because he isn’t perfect, but he is still the embodiment of good since thats quite literally what he was born as. Also I only said the lich could reincarnate to clarify steven could never get rid of him, but I don’t think steven would be able to kill him anyway. Hes shown no resistance to anything similar to “Fall”, and besides speed he has no real advantage. Not even a being which KILLED death was able to resist the lich. I don’t think Lich could control Steven because being good does mean he can’t force it, but he would still be able to break into his body. Fall works regardless of good or bad. The issue with the whole “thats just a no limits fallacy” is thats the intention of his character. The Lich represents the end of everything in adventure time. At many points he lets himself die to far weaker opponents simply because he just doesn’t care. Because he knows no matter what he can’t lose, he can take as much time as needed, he could wait months, years, decades, centuries just for one opening to attack. He couldn’t beat prime Billy so he waited for old age and skinned him alive. He couldn’t beat an omnipotent wish god so he waited for Prismo to materialize immobile for months before turning Prismo to ashes and dust. Within the series the few people stronger than him are literal gods which haven’t been defeated besides by people such as, you guessed it, Finn. In lore as explained by the lich himself, “before time, before anything, there was nothing, and before there was nothing……there were monsters.” Lich existed during the time when death and life had no meaning, everything conceivable was simply a sea of monsters and nothing more. Then the universe occurred and those monsters numbering in the thousands destroyed planets and solar systems just for fun. Its assumed they were killed by beings such as Golb who was born after the universe was created and the essential god of adventure time. All those beings die to existence erasure, but when Lich experienced it he just…..came back.

But being shattered does not mean death necessarily. Gems can be revived even after being shattered through white,yellow,blue, and pinks uhhhhh. Well I’m not sure what it is in Steven universe future but I’ll call it essence

There was even a universe where Finn made a wish where the lich never existed but guess what he appears so he can do what he was meant to do, End everything and everyone. So whatever the diamonds do to him they won’t do anything but delay the inevitable, hell HE IS THE INEVITABLE, he is beyond the power of the diamonds.

I'd say the main thing you missed would be Steven's psycic powers off the top of my head Steven has aura manipulation, possession, empathic abilities, astral projection, mind reading, mental projection, and dream invasion.
His healing powers are also not to be underestimated

Well dang actually I was with ya that Steven wouldn’t have a chance until the end, I didn’t think about his healing powers.
Rethinking it, Steven might have one of the best power sets to defeat the litch. It’s been shown magical barriers can stop mind possession or even hold the litch, and stevens got magical barriers for days. Plus the litch like golb has a weakness for things like love, harmony and healing.
So like stevens whole shtick is healing and harmonizing while being able to move at super speeds and shield.
I don’t think it would be one sided or anything but I could def see the fight ending with another Sweet P
No not even close stevens healing powers WOULD NOT WORK AT ALL. The only reason death was able to be healed/revived was because he was healed by THE CONCEPTUAL BEING OF LIFE HIS MOTHER!!! STEVEN CANNOT BRING THE DEAD BACK TO LIFE WITH HIS SPIT AND NOT ONLY THAT ANY AFFECTS DONE BY HIS SPIT WOULD BE UNDONE BY HIS EVERDYING BODY. The only way i could see Steven winning would be if he used his diamond speed powers to cover the lich in his spit, tears or sweat. Which would work cause Stevens healing powers can heal objects, like the teddy bear, conditions, such as Connie's short eyesight, and injuries, like all the ones he had in the original show
I don't know if he'd even get the chance to try tho, cause the lich is a much, much more experienced fighter and an incredible powerful force of nature.

You actually missed some things that might help Steven ALOT here, after Steven was (pun intended) feeling *blue* after proposing to Connie he evaporated like straight up erased a whole f*cking chunk of sand from existence, he's gotten better with his powers now aswell by the way so he doesn't need to be Smokey Qaurtz to use superspeed, his voice alone has nearly destroyed his entire house and he's proven to be able to transform into things he thinks he is so if ever mastered that later on well he could turn into something even stronger than his monster thing-ama jig that was stronger than all 3 diamonds! But yeah the biggest factor here is Steven's ability to destroy with his will and voice alone with his will completely obliterating things like just out of existence and his voice destroying things the normal (healable) way

Honestly the only way I can see Steven winning is by literally licking the litch since his siliva heals people. And the litch in the og timeline was only really dealt with for the most part by literally healing his body into the kid tree trunks raised. But even then Steven’s pacifist attitude and weaker feats make even getting to that point impossible for him. He has a win con but he just can’t get to it due to him getting overwhelmed.
Healing the Lich is only a viable strategy is Steven knows about it beforehand. That's pretty much it.

Yeah most of the fight Steven has been in, he has won due to him being able to reason with his attacker. Without the Crystal Gems, Steven as a fighter - while good - isn’t really good enough. Lich's mindset is so hyper-fixated on death and destruction, his mere existence is for those two things that Steven isn’t getting a word out before Lich kills him.

Resistant to everything magical. Only the blood like the guardians of the multiversal interdementional jail blood change his persona. But in the end his nature of destroying everything is still dormant in that version.
You forgot to mention one thing, stevens a main character and the lich is a villian, which means Steven will always sing some song and the lich will die instantaneously

Maybe things wouldn't be so bad. Steven can be active during sleeping, communicating with others on the soul level and creating his desire aura. Boy has a shield that can do some crazy things like stopping handship blast, Yellow Diamond's feet, White Diamond's blast (from many sides) and shattering Jasper. Also, Steven is only 50% organic life, which may help. He can create sapient plant organisms like Watermelon Stevens or Cactus Steven. This power, if used wisely, can be equivallent to manipulating sceletons - power that the Lich can use.
No just fucking no 😂 Steven is not even close the Litch is a being of cosmic scale the adventure time cosmology is crazy and the litch is faaaaar tooo powerful for Steven to even do an inkling of damage. Finn survived and lived because he’s more than just human he is a cosmic entity as well locked in a cycle of good vs evil with the litch.

I know this a joke fight so humor me.
I really began to wonder and the more I thought of it the more
I think the fight isn't that clear-cut.
After all, what chance did Finn have that Steven didn't? The Lich had Finn dead to rights, he was going to die if not for the lucky shot of the guardian's blood. But really, the reason Finn didn't become a corpse when he and the lich first met is because the Lich was playing with his food, to an eldritch horror fin is nothing but a funny thought, same with Abadeer, both of them don't kill him instantly because they find him amusing.
At Finns peak he is dozens and dozens of times stronger than Steven but Steven can reach his peak faster than Finn as we know Steven's powers are governed by his emotions and nothing will push him to the edge like the certain death that the Lich is. He is the incarnation of the fear of death×1000.
We can assume Steven will probably be stronger than ever before potentially stronger to completely overcome Lich's FALL ability as when he was in godzilla mode, he was completely immune to any mental attacks from the diamonds
From here, Steven can still be annihilated by the Lich, which he will most likely find it hilarious but unknown to the Lich, Steven still has two chances to win in two different forms:
Pink Steven: he either gets lucky like Finn and hits the Lich with his healing saliva, causing the Lich to turn into Sweet P or
second option he throws the Lich OOB(out of bounds) into space(that's effective against the Lich as seen in together again when Jake tosses the lich hand into the abyss of the dead world), touching the lich is super hazardous so Steven most likely wrapped him in a bubble thousands of times stronger than his rose shield before sending him to the shadow realm that us space.
Godzilla: Same chance of OOB the Lich given his colossal strength or because he's in a berserk state Godzilla Steven could devour the Lich and quickly spit him out because I don't think a decomposed corpse taste good 🤢
Point is the Lich is now covered head to toe in healing saliva that has been amplified to the max making potentially as good or better than guardian blood and like guardian blood it will quickly begin to regenerate the Lich's flesh creating Sweet P.
Yes i know Finn with his is telekinetic ghost arm is waaaaay stronger than Steven at his peak but it takes Finn so much time and energy to get to the point where he can use his telekinetic ghost arm, both Steven and Finns powers are affected by their emotions and state of mind but Steven can get to his peak waaaaay faster.
Remember the Lich most likely has a 90% chance of deleting Finn and Steven whenever he wanted but didn't because he finds it funny to break the spirits of heroes(Billy really did enough of an impression on the Lich to get him to actively go out of his way to break Finns spirit), it is his achilles heel.
But yeah, I really think this fight isn't as clear-cut as some would make it out to be.
Again, I know it's a joke fight.
If Steven was a pure gem he might be immune to the lich's death magic like BMO is since gems are robots but he's half human so definitely killable

Not giving Steven enought credit here. He has the ONLY ability that can actually stop the Lich (healing), to the point that he can actually resurrect dead people. And beyond that, he has barriers that deals no problem with attack of psychic nature, as shown when he "fought" white diamond. He's still squishy and vulnerable, but the Lich has no feat that surpass what he can overcome.

The only reason his vessel turned into sweet pea was because of citadel guardian blood which could heal BONE. The best thing steven's healed with his spit is greg's infected arm
One important thing is most of Stevens purely strength feats that are him on his own have been made to be a bad thing due to his lack of control not to mention he not that fast sense you mentioned Smokey but he’s gonna be fighting alone Steven doesn’t even have speed on his side

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't even think the lich would be too interested in the gems because they're not technically alive, they're light based as I understand it. Unless they annoyed or disturbed the lich, I don't think he would be all to bothered with them

Due to Steven powers relying upon Steven mental health the moment that the lich utters his command power is the moment that Steven loses especially if we consider Steven latest version of himself due to his mental instability.
Steven can’t even be killed bc his gem is inorganic matter and heals his human half almost instantly. It could be a draw but I think that Steven’s healing powers could be the thing that undoes the Lich just like how he was turned into Sweet Pea.

Aside from healing spit, Steven's other most relevant abilities have been totally disreguarded. Yeah, offensively the Litch has better feats, but Steven's powerset is primarily defensive.
I don't think it's been clarified what FALL is, but I'm of the opinion it is highly likely to be a psychic command, which Steven could reasonably push back against or counter.
But most egregious is Steven's plethora of shields and barriers, which weren't mentioned a single time.
Litch has a chance if he can melt Steven's barriers like the citadel, but only if he can outpace or outlast Steven's attempts to contain him.
Depending on the information factor, this could end up with the Litch running from a bubble ride to Rose's fountain.
You should read how Lich work in D&D, just generic one is more than enough to kill entire Crystal Gem in 1v4 match
@@justnoob8141That's a D&D Litch, not the Adventure Time Litch. And since this post I realized something that suggests that if the Litch is a rock, Steven's got it covered like paper.
After getting hit with the healing goo from the Citadel, the Litch makes some weird noises as he flails around in apparent pain. Simmilar noises come from the Litch-posessed princess bubblegum in response to Jake doing a butt bongo song.

I feel like there's one factor that people are forgetting is that Steven has an unfathomable amount of healing power very similar to that goo in the prison episode I feel like Stephen could probably bring life to the Lich in a similar fashion
Lich is practically The End there is no power that could heal him or something he's inevitable,he can only be slowed so yeah basically The Lich can defeat anyone

There’s not even a somehow situation Steven loses 100% everytime there’s no trick or trap or situation that could stop this lich from killing him. Maybe he could escape to space but only so long before the lich comes
With all that trauma steven has he’ll be unable to touch the lich
