Coming from someone who has had both the g7x and sx740 i say go for the sx740 IT IS SO GOOD. they r both rly good cameras but in my opinion the sx740 is overall just a better camera and worth your money. the quality is definetly better. ive had both cameras for quite some time now and i have to say that the sx740 is a lot more durable in the sense that the quality and camera itself is still in perfect condition no matter how old it is. sorry if that didnt make sense lol. ANYWAY have a great day!

Hi there, no worries!! Thanks for watching - the battery life is pretty decent in my opinion! I find when I’m filming non-stop it drains a bit faster than stop & go filming, but I have 3 batteries & never have any issues!

@@glambynicoleann you also have the Canon connect app and you could connect your phone with your camera and use your phone to press record, but your basically recording from your camera, saw another TH-camr using that feature, tried it myself and it worked!

Also to your other point on the super-fantastic 40x zoom, this is what separates this device from a modern day smartphone and why it is still relevant 5 years after it initially debuted, even with the great advancements in cell phone cameras. I want that zoom for outdoor nature walks, birding, baseball games, and I’ll even shoot the moon! I have been trying to get one for a while now, but it is back ordered…I ended up going with the Sony HX99, which seeing now may now be as good for my shooting habits (4K walk and talk vlogging, and macro shooting), as the SX740HS.

1 SD card has been enough while I go on week long trips!! But I would suggest getting a backup battery!! Have the best time in Korea! 🫶🏼

I juts both is same camera but I don’t know what memory cards work with it. What memory card did you use?
I just use a regular SD card!!! 65 GB I believe & it’s always worked great :)
