Purge prime carbs have 2 check valves in the metering chamber that can stick open and suck air instead of drawing fuel from the tank . Repairing these carbs is usually a crap shoot . You are right to say replacement is the best option.Really enjoy your videos

Hey man! I started watching your channel during the bug, and I really enjoyed it. I used to work on everything like you do, but my health in the last few years has kept me from doing so. I wish I lived closer to you because I have a washer, dryer, stove, nice Amana fridge, 2 weed eaters, a chainsaw, a Toro self propelled lawn mower, etc. I thought about giving them away, but they would probably end up in a dump. I use non alcohol gas in my boat, lawn mower, motorcycle, and all of those small engines that sit for weeks or months without being used. I have heard thay alcohol absorbs water from the air.
Where do you get sober gas? lol jk😂
Not sure about the water part. Ethanol eventually breaks down and starts to gum up. That I do know. It's like it's trying to turn back into corn or something. A chemist could probably tell us what's going on there.

I don't mind the rake. It is good exercise but I am older now and what was an afternoon now takes a day and a half. I have some aggravated nerves that cause me distress.

I told the guy at Wal-Mart I need WHITE caulk, with heavy emphasis on "WHITE". He was a black dude. Seemed a bit offended for some reason.

What do you do with old gas? As in disposal?
Keep in bottles. Pour on burn pile once a year. Be careful doing this. A lot of municipalities make auto service centers take people’s fluids for disposal.
Hipa looks like the Temu of outdoor parts. 🤮
