At six and a half minutes you mention a link to a video for testing the purge control valve. But I only found the link to the battery disconnect video. Is there in fact a way to test the purge control valve without expensive equipment?

Yes, that is one symptom of a failing purge valve. Same thing was happening to my Ford Focus when filling up. Once I replaced it, it was good as new.

Disconnect one hose at a time from the purge valve and put your finger if you feel a vacuum effect it's time to replace it
