Another excellent video. This will be very helpful when I give this a go over the weekend. You took all the guess work out, you provided a detailed explanation, and very clear video angles. I also appreciate that you get right to the point and don't fiddle around. Thanks again!

Great informative video. I am having this very same job done today on my 2016 Kia $450 bucks. I don’t have the time to do it but it sure is not as easy as some other cars so I get why they charge what they did.
Make sure it is the kind that can handle heat. Ask the auto supply store workers, they can help you. It’s about the same price there compared to buying online. Make sure you get the right part.
You don't only pay for time, you pay for experience, information, and ability. Don't be so reductionist. Most ppl don't have the expertise or time to do work like this. Also, you need to realize they have to test their work.
In the business we look to do the job in 1/4 the time we quote it for. I quote these jobs at $400. We have to do it this way, if you cant do it yourself then you may have to kick rocks.
Expertise is based off rate per hour $65-$270 per hour for labor. So a 1 hour job should never take longer than that. If it does, it’s legally required to specify why: test, test drive, time vehicle sits even if not being worked on. Vehicles are often not worked on directly and can still be charged for time it’s taking up space.
If you smell smoke after a 20-30min drive it's burning on the exhaust...replace the valve cover gasket amd fuel pump gasket...if not, make sure you are changing your oil every 3-4k depending on your driving conditions.
hi how you doing, i have a problem with my kia optima 2011. it keep blowing the starter i have changed it 3 times and i cant figure out why it keeps blowing

You did this job yourself? If so, did you have the replace the fuel line?

9:45 - that sound of clacking and hoping you hear it hit the floor is such a relieving sound

What kind of silicone did you use or can you use any kind of silicone? Do you have a linkfor the silicone you used?

This is a very good video, thank you for the time and effort.
I knew this wasn’t a 2-3 hour job. I hate dealerships. They quoted me $450 with 2.5 hrs labor and parts. They can kick rocks.

If your the original owner this is covered under the 10 year 100k mile warranty.
Is there a link to the fuel pump gasket? I found the gasket for the cover with the link but not the fuel pump gasket
I was wondering the same thing. Maybe they have another video on the high preassure fuel pump gasket replacement
@@shawnzeman129 dont buy any gaskets from Amazon or eBay or anywhere else just buy them from the dealership because the other ones don’t fit properly!
