I think the respect Ohtani and Kershaw shared at the 2022 All Star Game is needed for the whole story. Just look at the way he's interacted with LA this year. The beef is for sure squashed.
Well, the reason he was disinterested was obviously because the NL didn't have a DH at the time. I think if the NL had a DH, Ohtani likely would have been more privy to sign with the Dodgers
Yes exactly also that was 7 years ago. Ohtani came in with a list of things he’d prefer.. he wanted to be on the west coast, he wanted to be able to pitch and hit and he preferred an organization with no Asian players because he didn’t want to take away the spotlight from them… At the time the NL had no DH and the dodgers had maeda and ryu .. so yes it was probably a long short to start with for ANY NL team.. ohtani is now 7 years older and I’m sure he realizes and thinks back on the mistake he made picking an organization like the angels in order to have all these little goofy preferences and wouldn’t make the same mistakes again

i dont think it way anything personal by any side. At that time I think Ohtani had his mind made up he was going to be an Angel. It all comes down to where Ohtani wants to play.
I really doubt Kershaw will be in L.A. next year. He's a guarantee IL every year now and is regressing before our eyes. He's had a great career and in my opinion the GOAT.. but this is the cycle of life.
Money talks and talent talks. They would def take him. Yeah Turner isn’t even a dodger now and Kershaw is getting up there in age and won’t be around forever.
I love Shohei, but that contract will absolutely DESTROY whatever team he goes to. Whoever trades for him will have to take massive risks. I don’t see him winning a championship in his career because his contracts will easily takeover any team or situation he’s put in.

Really reaching fo content lately
Or...I'm just bringing up something I found interesting
instead of reaching to the moon on this, talk about chaim bloom lmfao@@iTalkStudios
I think it was Kershaw’s wedding anniversary, so maybe that added to his frustration too.
sounds more like you should have titled this "The Dodgers BEEF with Shohei Ohtani" based on everything you stated
His time with the angels was probably humbling
Ohtani betts and freeman would be an insane trio on both sides of the ball
I get ohtani and Betts. But why freeman? He’s mediocre and almost 40 😂
If it was me I’d remember how they portrayed themselves and later said about him and his agent and be thinking they’d have a negative culture which you don’t wanna be apart of
C'mon now, no one following the Dodgers or Ohtani has EVER forgotten about this.
I mean he loves mookie and had great fun talking to other dodgers at the all star game . So this isn’t really that big of a deal
He should be paid 700,000,000 He is baseball! The Best Player and Athlete ever in history ! OTG
Scioscia is no longer with the team but he's still comically fat and that makes me happy. Dusty Baker gifted them a WS but other than that, the Arte era is highly cursed.
Considering Shohei won't pitch for at least a year and half again if ever, I won't be as devastated if he signs with the Dodgers.
So what you're telling me is that he will be a Giant?
PLEASE
Nope
So might as well go with the runner up from 17, the Seattle Mariners
Ohtani is staying in California.
In ur dreams
@@user-sm9jm3il5o This isn't something I dream about little fella. Dodgers, Padres or Giants with a very long shot he stays in Anaheim.
I think Giants or Padres at this point
@@davidtran2026or Seattle
@@davidtran2026 In your dream Giants ain’t gonna out bid the Dodgers for Ohtani.
We've forgotten it. That's it.
I dont think the doggers will sign him, if they sign him kershaw is going to retired, doggers cant afford both of them.
Says you? Urias and Bauer are gone. Two bug tickets.
I did not know this, but yeah he’ll sign with the Dodgers
really doubt this will play a factor in his upcoming free agency …
Yeah lol why would it? With all the drama with the Angels, I don't think Ohtani is thinking about his free agency signing from 5 years ago. This is a non-story
i dont think it way anything personal by any side. At that time I think Ohtani had his mind made up he was going to be an Angel. It all comes down to where Ohtani wants to play.
I really doubt Kershaw will be in L.A. next year. He's a guarantee IL every year now and is regressing before our eyes. He's had a great career and in my opinion the GOAT.. but this is the cycle of life.
dude shohei is the new face of the dodgers replacing kershaw after this year kershaw is leaving baseball
No matter what slander is being out up against Dodgers he is still coming here
it’ll either by the dodgers or giants
Bad blood???🤷♂️ Ohtani Freddy and Mookie all seemed to be getting along great at the all star game
Money talks and talent talks. They would def take him. Yeah Turner isn’t even a dodger now and Kershaw is getting up there in age and won’t be around forever.
He will not be an LA Doyer
This has to be a historical blunder by Anaheim. 2 Historically great players in their primes, wasted year after year.
One of which who will never be on a winning team! He's stuck!
Ohtani needs to start talking if he wants to take it to another level. He probably doesnt care, and thats a little worrisome!
I think Ohtani agreed with Turner and Kershaw lol
He'll be a Ranger
Ancient history. He wants to be on a team that 1. Has warm weather 2. Is preferably on the west coast, and 3. Can win. Hello???
Yes! 💙💙💙
Crazy that they are about to be teammates 😏
He’ll be a mariners soon
I love Shohei, but that contract will absolutely DESTROY whatever team he goes to. Whoever trades for him will have to take massive risks. I don’t see him winning a championship in his career because his contracts will easily takeover any team or situation he’s put in.
This is one of those rare videos where it just seems like you're looking to stir up drama. This was about the lack of the DH to the NL more than anything. No one cares anymore.
Him signing with the dodgers is boring, I want him to sign with a lesser funded team that are underrated
They have failed many players. One of the worst run organizations in all of Pro Sports
Dodgers 75%
Giants 15%
Yankees/Mets 10%
Everyone else is just talk. I don’t think he’s going to the mariners or padres he just spent 7 years on a dysfunctional org like the angels y’all think he’s gonna take that type of risk again.. I think the dodgers truly biggest competition is the giants.. I think they fell a little because he hurt his arm meaning he won’t pitch if ever till at least 2025, that being a pitchers park and not a hitters park doesn’t help that standpoint
he needs to stay FAR FAR away from Los Angeles. He will not mix well in that clubhouse.
It won’t matter, because Ohtani is going to Seattle.
I love you Italk!!
I love you more
Just saw the notification

hi@@iTalkStudios
i guess you could say this video was a waste of time tbh. I thought it was something more personal to ohtani 😂
This ain't anything really.
Come to Oakland so Fisher can’t afford to relocate
I think the Angels disrespected Othani not the dodgers
Angels have been a disappointment of a team for more than a decade already
Yeah… I would have been upset if someone wasted my time too… However, maybe a little bit of culture awareness… but why the hell would you pick the Angels as your first choice????
Fake news
God I hope he doesn't go there and comes to sf to torment them 😂
Screw kershaw just cut him and sign shohei
This didn’t age well 😂
