    Love the longer style video that demonstrates the whole process!
    Using the torque wrench, however, to loosen the bolts and dropping it a few times on concrete probably didn't help it and it made me shed a few tears.

    Helpful tips....Use the ratchet in the socket set to remove the bolts, not the torque wrench. Also be careful removing nuts and bolts from a warm or hot exhaust.
    Beautiful bike! Stay safe.

    Wait.... I just watched you disassemble the old exhaust system using a torque wrench with no extension then assemble the new system with a standard ratchet and an extension. And then apparently only used the torque wrench on one bolt...... that was really strange. But overall a great video. Best wishes with your new ride.

    I plan on getting a 2022 RL asap. I will admit I fast forward through this video to find the DBs difference. Like you I want to shave some lbs but not get too loud. You stated the stock dbs and then glossed over when the Yoshi was installed...not too loud, I like the sound. PLEASE respond with the difference in numbers...my eyes are roo old. I could not see the #$ with a magnifying glass. Thanks for the video...hard to beleive no major publication has not beat you to this comparison.

    Hi, great video and thank you for sharing... I was wondering how did you order the Yoshi RS 4 that shows in your video with the decal on the tip and the RS 4 decal on the exhaust? . Yoshimura website it doesn't shows anything for the CRF 450RL 2021? it shows just for the CRF 450 X? also, it shows just one decal on the tip of the exhaust. I am thinking that maybe the one you have is the new style? Could you please let me know where and how you ordered it? I would appreciate it. Thanks again!

    • @quinnpacker9219
      @quinnpacker9219  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Chicoracing92, so the yoshimura RS 4 does not explicitly show the 450L as an option for purchase (I’m guessing due to emission regulation) however, the 450X exhaust is an exact bolt on and is the one used in the video! I purchased it off motosport.com but you could also check out @SRmoto and srmoto.com to get an understanding of how it works. The exhaust I got has the extra decal on it and I’m not sure if that’s just a cosmetic update. I hope this helps!

    Sounds much better. How much did the exhaust and the ecu set you back? Would you say the instructions for the ecu and the preloaded maps are good enough?Thanks from west Tennessee

    • @quinnpacker9219
      @quinnpacker9219  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The combined cost was somewhere around 1300 which is quite steep I will admit. That being said, I do love the combination and I do think its worth it. The instructions and presets that come with the ecu are great. There are also so many forums online where people talk about the different ecu settings they run which have been very helpful. It is kind of frustrating how you cant really buy one without the other (pipe and ecu). I hope this helps!!

      Congrats on the new bike! As for backfiring, no, I’ve never had this issue. I have the vortex installed prior to installing the pipe in this video. Once you get the vortex on with the correct style settings for the yoshi, you’ll never have a backfire again!

    Hey man curious what settings you were running the Vortex for your stock setup? I picked up my RL a few weeks ago along with the Vortex ECU since I’ll be adding the Yoshi and maybe some air box mods in the future but will be stock for a little while.

      I had about a week between the time I installed the vortex and the yoshimura. So the vortex comes with a list of different mappings ranging from 0-10. 0 is listed as the “base ignition map” with a rev limit of 10,200 which matches the standard rev limit. It was a little lean but I increased the idle just a tad and it was all set! I hope this answers your question let me know

    • @quinnpacker9219
      @quinnpacker9219  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @michael lee it does seem to stick out a bit, but I know the fmf system does as well. I’m not too sure why. I went with the yoshimura though because it’s not as loud (to get away with woods riding)

    • @lukefish7562
      @lukefish7562 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@quinnpacker9219 thank you once again. Mine has IRC TR8s so on it so guess they swapped them out. They had changed it right when it came in and before I saw it because I heard the stock were crap and just let them order better ones. Now at 1,000 miles I’ve worn the rear out and sliding all over. 99% dirt roads/trails 1% pavement. I was recommended the Kendra and the Starcross 5 medium and the battlecross X30 sound good too. • @quinnpacker9219
      @quinnpacker9219  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lukefish7562 I am also 6'2" and found the stock renthals to be a little short. there are two choices to get higher bars: risers or a taller bar bend. Pro taper has some bar risers but I am unsure how well they work. I have been weary about them since they just stack on top of the stock bar mounts which could make it easier for the bars to be knocked out of alignment. The Rox series of bar risers seem to be popular but $200 seemed a little steep for me. I decided to go with a Pro Taper contour with the CR High bend which is one of the taller bends they have. They have a couple which are even taller if that's what you're looking for. This gives you a stronger, taller bar for a fair price. This is what I would suggest!

As for the fuel maps, I have tried the low setting at a 6 and found that was useful when going very very slow in technical terrain

    Where did u get the exhaust from, and do u need the tuner?

    • @quinnpacker9219
      @quinnpacker9219  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the exhaust is from motosport.com, as they were the cheapest at the time. it is for the 450X which is an exact bolt on fit for the 450L.
      As for the tuner, you will need it as the bike runs lean from the factory as is and the exhaust makes it even more lean it will run too hot which is bad for the engine. I suggest the Vortex ECU
