Love the way you draw forests and mountains! So adorable, yet clean
Great tutorial. You are a capable instructor. I used to draw similar style maps for RPGs 20 years ago, but your videos have inspired me to start making maps again for my wargaming campaigns. Very easy to watch videos. Well done!
I'm working on a slight ''you are the hero'' game/book project and this has been very useful!
This is CLUTCH! Thanks for sharing this video, I want to make a gift for my dnd party and will most definitely work my way through your videos to get inspiration :D
Super helpful, thank you!
Great video! Love seeing the process
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it
Cool!
Nice! I'm a part of this club in Carmarthenshire in my school where we play stuff like Dnd and Warhammer so I'll definitely mention this channel to them!
Awesome, let me know if you try out any of the techniques, I love seeing the results of these videos! Thanks for the comment. Do you DM the D&D sessions?
great video, really helpss a lot i wanted to get started in drawing maps and this really help so thank you
Thank you Lucas, that's really great to hear!
Great to see you making these, congrats brother ❤
Thanks mate, it's nice to have a new focus and this is something I've wanted to do for a long time. :)
@@MapsbyOwen You've got a nice presence, the camera loves you ❤
@@JogBrogzin haha, not sure about that but thanks mate 😊
Just discovered your Channel, I really like your video ! Good job
Thank you so much!
I've watched your Instagram for the last year and a half, I didn't realize you had a TH-cam until now. I love seeing the process.
Hi Stewart, thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to comment. I've not really created much for youtube until recently but it feels like a natural step forward. Great to have you on board, I really appreciate it and let me know if there's a topic of which you would like to see more.
Thank you so much! Following this tutorial made my maps already so much better at the first attempt. I had some things I was wondering about: how'd you go about detailing frozen lakes? And since capitals/castles are likely to have a lot of farmlands around them, would you draw those as well and if so how?
Again thank you so much, you deserve more views.
Hi, thank you so much for the lovely comment. Frozen lakes using pen and paper is a really good suggestion and right now, I'm honestly not quite sure, but I'll definitely put it on my list for future videos. As for farmland around cities etc, I generally do not draw it in when drawing world or regional maps as I think it's implied anyway and all cities may have different amounts or types. If you are drawing a regional map and have a city icon, usually there is space around that which would be the farmland. I hope that helps!
wow man, you really do know how to draw!
Thank you
You're welcome!
Yeah! So good, can’t wait to get back to DND in person
The mrs better let you blink back! It’s going to be great :)
I’m pre-approved for blinkage 😅
Great video 👍⚔
Hi, thank you very much for taking the time to comment (and watch of course). I really appreciate it :)
@@MapsbyOwen keep up the good work.👍
@@katiedanner1 I plan to, thanks again!
I like your TH-cam content 😍😍
Hi Rahmat, thank you so much! I really appreciate that, have a great day.
this is very nice! what i was actually looking for was how to draw an imaginary political map without the countries looking like weird blobs but still!
this video is going into my playlist of random videos i found thats worthy to go into this playlist
this video should be seen more...
Which do you find the least cumbersome and most enjoyable? Pen and paper or iPad w/Procreate?
he makes it seems easy lol :)
I like the video but I would of liked a slower approach with more detailed steps
Why do my ravines look like a toddler drawing spiders xD lol *keeps trying*
