I hit 160 easily on Sunrise Highway on Long Island , the performance of this car is amazing
I always get challenged by Q50s and Q70s on sunrise hwy on my way to and from work and I have a G37xS. It makes me chuckle lol
James sevensix Q50= 328hp G37=328hp. Pre 2016 the Q50's literally have the same engine, transmission and curb weight as the out going G37 which means their performance virtually the same. The reason why I say I laugh is because they would challenge me as if there would be a big difference between us. i'd love to see these videos of Q50s smoking G37's since they're the same FUCKING CAR but thanks for the input James 👏
They may be the same with engine and trans, but apparently final drive changed in Q50 which makes it pull much faster on rwd according to the forums. Not sure about AWD but im glad Nissan stepped up their game. The VR is 100% better in power delivery than the VQ. I would rather call the q50 twin turbos the real Skyline GTRS of today
the car is limited at 149mph US version, no way you hit 160mph we dyno the car 4times sometimes it hits 140mph sometimes 148mph its programed in the ECU not to overdrive over 149mph, The EU version is set at 290kmh but the car can not hit 290kmh the max speed the just don't have speed limiters in EU.

This is published on 2016 but this is 2015 or older model. Sounds like 3.7 VQ. The new VR engine sounds less narly.

Love my 2015 q50 (named her "Rocket"). Handles like a dream, and the 3.7 liter under the hood is a work of art. Sport mode is all business, no bs. Best car I've ever had hands down

Ryan Brown I like and rented both but I would go with the Maxima. The Maxima has more features that the Q50 doesn’t. The 2019 Q50 I rented didn’t have remote start, Panoramic sunroof, no Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, had a smaller trunk, no navigation, and the Maxima had all of these mostly standard.

Not a 3.0 . Not a2016 the 2016 have a 3.0t and there redline is at 7. The VQ redlined at 7.5

It’s only a 7 speed. If it had closer steps in the front, the RPMs would drop too much at higher speeds
My brothers STOCK 2018 Infiniti luxe 3.0t hit like 152 & the numbers was still jumping but slowed down cause cars ahead
The Q50 3.0t sounds different that the 3.7 but, it’s still a very nice sound. It’s about the same maybe a little faster but, once you get the red sport you will be eating 370zs for breakfast

@JC Shit, I seen a charger hemi governed and maxed out at 135. I was like.. Wow. Sad. Just bought a '15 q50 black. Didn't pick it up yet. Nice test drive though. Tires and wheels have to go. 17 inch with the typical silver chrome. No, need 19 or 20s all blacked out with low profile. We'll compromise ride a lil for aesthetics. Tires more problematic than wheels. Unacceptable on a high end luxury car.

Yea this is the 3.7 vq37vhr not the 3.0tt vr30. Stock vq37 tops at 7500 and the vr30 is at 7k. 2014-2015 q50s have the 370z engine in them and any q50/q60 after 2016 have the newer twin turbo vr30 engine.

I'm thinking 4.8-5.4 secs only that the second gear is weak from what I saw. But it sounds great. So it's not a track car because it's weak at speed. I thought all that hp would be insane but they need to shorten those upper gears and even out the fuel curve. I don't like critisizing it but I want to by a G37 and I know it's not a porsche. I guess these cars are a comprimise not full race and not full family commuter. I'd like a nice curve like porsche makes not corvette. And corvette is built crappy. Rented a new to the year vette and the clutch stuck down Mt. Charleston near Vegas. I got scared cause would have had to have it towed but it unstuck. Even the baby boxster did the same numbers and the vette was 400 hp. They both did 6.1 sec. Porsche had 240 hp with the boxster engine. I own one right now.

I did 155 in my 2018 Chevy camaro the v6 RS version could of did and should of did 160 I beleive mines doesn’t have a governor its have beaten many g37s bone stock and due to that is because it has an 8 speed transmission due to the g’s having 7 speeds they were right by me but I still won my half a car or more and my camaro comes 335 stock

I hope you understand, sport mode does not make the car any quicker. It just changes the shift points and holds rpm.
It does more than that, changes the suspension stiffness, the steering wheel feel and a few other things if you have the required packages. All of it does add up to a faster car.

Steering wheel feel and suspension will only happen if you have magnetic suspension and if you have electric steering. Raising the shift points doesnt always make it faster, depending on where the engine makes the most power.

eltingville81 yeah this is true its a swapped version 8 STI engine , stock used to be a twin turbo setup but it wasnt slow.. it was just more complicated and when my stock engine died i felt like going with a single turbo.. but the engine/turbo itself is stock..and its hard to tell on video i know it wasn't much of a race but the Q50 couldnt pull on me and i left it standing still, google claims 328hp for infiniti 3.7L while my dynosheet claims 330AWHP...
