Hey I'm literally two seconds away from buying my first q50, Iv'e been stuck between 3.7 vs 3.0t AWD vs RWD.... Currently Im looking at 3.0t AWD and im not sure I'm making the right choice. The reasons for 3.0t is the tuning possibilities but I never owned an AWD and it's stopping me from going for it. Weather isnt too bad here in Dallas Texas so Im just curious if yall agree it's a great option.
I’m not sure if it’s the same on 3.0t but on q50 with 3.7 you can pull a fuse to disable awd and the car will be full rwd, then just put fuse back in to go back to awd. However since you’re in texas you don’t rlly need awd in the first place so I’d go with rwd model

This car is really fast and faster than stock GT-R. Without launch control stock GT-R runs 0-60 in about 4.0 sec. I think it's about the same fast as GT-R for 1/4 mile, though.

Do you think you might be causing boost spikes while shifting manually and that"s making your car to loose traction and control? The transmission shifting automatically can probably hold the boost at more stable levels during shifts.
I'm brake boosting the car. So the car is launching at +8 psi. If the launch control on I have no issues. Launch control off I'm lighting up the rear end because of no lsd
It also might be because when he up shifts, the car pauses for a quick time period when changing gears and then the power comes on again which causes the rear end to kick out on its open diff. I have the RWD model and I experience it when I hang the tail out (which is relatively easy as you can see lol). My red sport under 4 seconds will be more of a challenge than these AWD models but I think wider and better tires should do the trick
