@@meatball4409 as someone who only just started learning how to drive this week, I doubt you need to floor it to be driving like a maniac in this thing. This is so fast that the throttle response is probably insanely difficult to control. I have difficulty controlling a 2.0T 240 HP station wagon that takes about 6.4 seconds to get to 60. Imagine me trying to drive something like this that could probably shave about a second off of that with no passenger and on better terrain.
@@D1man1525 I suppose so, but I still wonder how there are people on the road who completed a driving course and still cannot drive like a normal human being.
These G37s were some of the best in the luxury sports sedan market for their time. I mean this was when Infiniti was regarded as the Japanese BMW, and I wouldn't blame anyone if they wanted to choose this over the E90 3 series of the time. These were easily sub 6 second cars, which was stupid fast. I mean over 330 HP from that 3.7L VQ V6 for 2011 and even today is nothing to sneeze at. And again, naturally aspirated V6 too, you don't get that anymore, which is sad, unless you buy the current Lexus IS 350.
what you mean sad ? i have a stock m340i with 6 cylinders inline turbo is the best thing god create on the world 😂 you can keep your slow v6 my stock m340i 0-60 is 3.8 sec
Hey love the video!! I own an X myself! The car pulls amazing, I’m not sure if you know this or not but the Awd system used in the Infiniti’s are Rwd unless you lock the differential with the “snow mode” so that might be why Xdrive feels more down to the road. X drive is normally 40:60 while ATT-S is 0:100, 30:70, or locked 50:50. I very much recommend a brake upgrade tho
0-60 is definitely not 6.1 seconds in a G37 sedan in dry weather unless there is something seriously wrong with the car. 6.1 in the rain with RWD, I'd believe, but not with AWD unless you started in 2nd gear... The 700+ pound heavier and much less aerodynamic Infiniti QX70 3.7 with 3 less HP & 2 less LB-FT did 0-60 in 6.1 seconds. My '15 Q50 3.7 was consistently tested doing 0-60 in 5.2 seconds. My Q50 3.7 Premium is only 8 pounds lighter than a G37 Journey Sedan, but the Q50 3.7 has taller 3.13 gearing vs the more aggressive 3.36 gearing in the G37 7-speed auto, so to 60 mph, the G37 sedan 7AT should be about 1/10th of a second quicker to 60 mph than my Q50 3.7 Premium sedan 7AT at about 5.1 seconds, which would make it a huge one full second faster than you claim. My Q50 bone stock before the mods ran a best 1/4 mile of 13.51 @ 103.88 at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, GA before the track was shut down. Cars running 13.50's are generally doing 0-60 in 4.9-5.1 seconds on average. The G37 has everything my Q50 has for performance + better gearing for acceleration.
I just wanted to add that I do love your POV videos. I didn't mean to come off as a jerk in my other comment. It's hard to show my demeanor via typing lol. I just know the performance of the Q50 & G37 with the 3.7 engine. I also realize you had a passenger and you didn't power brake the car. Plus the motor could be starting to get tired with what looks like over 120k miles on it? Anyway, I ran my best 13.51 1/4 mile in sport mode with traction control on surprisingly... -The T/C is less intrusive in sport mode. I also used manual mode and made it shift right below the 7700 rpm fuel cut-off limiter at about 7600 rpm. Left in full auto it shifts at 7500 from 1st to 2nd, then it only shifts at 7400 rpm from 2nd through 3rd, and 3rd to 4th gear and so on... No hard feelings on my end. Keep up the good work 👍 -Chris
Great review i love it ❤️❤️ I just have a one question if thats okay, im turning 17 and im getting a driver license, my dad owned like one of these it wasn't an infiniti but nissan skyline 2007 250gt sedan, it was a great car tho, owned for 9years and he helped me learn how to drive since i was 8years old and he always letted me to drive in a close places and it felt really good and enjoyable i loved that car man and i miss those memorys in that car but thankfully im turning 17 now and planning to buy one of those g37, I'm thinking between coupe or sedan, what are the best advices you could give me? Hey! Sure. Thank you very much. I have driven the LS460, and it was a great experience. Was really similar to the LS430, and had pretty much the same performance times.
@DMCarReviews ahh okay thanks for the info! Dude your channel is super underrated. The amount of videos you post & quality of them you should have at least 500k subs. Keep up the great work I think this channel will blow up!
10,5 is about average for what you’re looking at there. Maybe 9,5 for an 11 with that mileage. 2013 with 113k miles can go for as much as $13k with an asking price of $14,700. Average mileage and condition around $9,500 if you really look hard. They’re usually kept up pretty well too.
Cool car but the exterior and interior look absolutely kills this car for me, it doesn’t look good in the slightest, though maybe with some chrome delete and a grill and badge delete with a lip spoiler than it’s pretty decent, still would choose a w210 e55 amg from a decade before it though
Definitely one of the most underrated sedans ever made. These go ridiculously cheap these days for what they are.

Because most of them are broken. Owned by teenage boy racers that will floor it everywhere

Check out my QX50 3.7 video and my 0-60 runs. They are I think slighlty slower than here in the dry. Now the QX70 is around 7 seconds.
It’s needs a rear sway bar from a Rwd g37 if it fits which it looks like it does that would fix that handling issue

Thank you! Well, 13.5 does seem very good for a G37. I think my best was like 13.8-14 on them, but it was very rainy and traction limited.
