I just recently played dying light 1 again after awhile I stopped playing bc I had a corrupted save data kept on rebooting back to level 22 and regress all my progress but since the most recent update I don't remember when bc it been that long I don't have a problem anymore now I'm level 30 on dying light 1 Volatile in 2 are alpt mpre fearsome and aggressive than dying light 1 don't let the creepy atmospheric full u u can literally be three foot away from a Volatile stay in its side view it won't turn to u they also easier to kill witha bow come beside a Volatile that close in the side view in dying light 2 would get u spotted
You forgot the "Gastank runners" they are hazmat's that have mutated into virals, they can spawn at level 4 night chases and by the Night Hunter in be the zombie mode, those zombies would ran at you screaming like the virals but when get to close they will instantly blow up like a bomber
i love how techland created what is probably the most OP enemy, the alpha volatile, w the ranged attacks, increases health, increased damage, increased awareness etc and said “yeah looks fine”. early game my friends and i were terrified of them but now we’ve got like the hellbeast and last hopes and loads of flares and boosters we just farm them whilst talking about our lives

I had it on my switch and I got the platinum edition that had all the dlc weapons n shit n I completed the game on normal mode, played again on nightmare mode, lost my switch. I still think about all the game progress I lost from several different games like the Arkham series and the borderlands series
Not well known fact: the dawn light pistol from the van crane dlc has a special effect that it one shots volatiles and alpha volitiles, but does it’s regular damage to other zombies, I figured this out by shooting a viral three times and then it dying and then shooting the alpha once and killing it, I just tested it and one shotted over 30 farming xp at night on the safe house by the pharmacy
@@akhilsharma1749 you make a little safe zone but only for a few seconds. But is more than enough if you need to heal yourself or reload if you had a rifle, shotgun or pistol
@@Yaoi.z UV light stuns the volatile for 1 to 2 seconds then it pounces on you. UV flares make the volatile run away outside of the UV radius until its over. Thats why you see speedrunners use uv flares in the volatile room in the prison heist, and a cloak potion for the toads.
Pretty nice video, heres just few late facts: bitters can throw their melee weapon at you (usually if you're close but out of reach). Hazmat zombies are unable to bite due to their suits and will only punch/slap however they can still be seen munching corpses (likely a bug). I feel like these tips could been cool to hear and would fit the video.

In fact, its... *more or less* easy to play at night (obviously im not talking about nightmare) and avoid Volatiles when you're crazy enough to get used to it and the green runners can be spotted some safe areas, making a perfect way to farm. The spitter and the children are two of the worse, after the first encounter with them i expected some shit like the witch from Left 4 Dead and fuck sake im glad they aren't in the main game at least.
Nights are a very good way to farm survival xp, because for surviving it you get around 60k normal xp (not legendary xp). And nights are a lot safer with the camouflage and grappling hook perks.
In the first Demolisher fight, just collect all the rebar in the arena most of them are near the walls, throw them at his head and deal massive damage thus making the fight much shorter and easy.
I accidentally figured out another way: wielding the rebar as you mentioned on top a s.container then trying to rain pain on it, ended up "controlled falling" on it repeatedly: far as I know, still works.
And also throwing the arena machete takes put half its HP if it hits the demolishoners head I figured this out by accident when i was lile "you know what fuck it" and yhrew my machete at tje demol8shers head and was baffled that he was half HP and died to it
you forgot thet regular biters in the lategame have a special "heavy" attack, they charge towards the player and land a punch that can knockdown crane, also the following super mutant bosses but al around awesome video
4:26 this isn’t necessarily the case, as suppressed pistols are available upon reaching old town, and if you have one of or both, you can craft and use the dlc suppressed guns, being the volkan combat assault rifle (which is the best suppressed gun in the game) and the torn whisper
First time playing Harran Prison today, I got trapped in a tiny room in the section where the multiple alpha volatiles are. I had basically no health, two of them ran in along with a couple virals, and I frantically swung a Ben Franklin Dragon Ji at them both while running side to side in a panic. Amazingly, it killed them all and I survived the room lmao, the shock effect was actually very effective at keeping them from finishing me off.

i looove standing just outside of a safe house, using the explosive arrows on them and watching them go flying high up in the air. so much fun. you don't even need to actually hit them, the explosion alone is enough to do damage
I'm playing DL1 for the first time and I just finished the pit demolisher fight I managed to beat him only using pipes and table legs because I completely fkn forgot that Rais gave me a machete I was so focused on avoiding and learning his movesets that I didn't even use the one thing that could help me in the fight
There is also the nights hunter, the most powerful one and a blend of all zombie, they can split, grapple, parcours, have some kind of armor, a survivors sens kind of, they only spawn at night they can spawn another type of zombie that has suicidal tendencies , can be temporarily immune to uv light and are overhaul the king of zombies, Spoiler alert : I think Kyle crane became one in the following which is technically the only night hunter that exists
Volatiles can be one-shotted if you can angle them perfectly against some of the many spikes around the world, and then kick them or make them back off with the UV flashlight. I killed a few after the infamous first night mission this way, when you reach the safe zone there's spiked barrels at the entrance
im doing my first playthrough on story mode and every time i leave a safe zone 3-4 virals spawn i like to play a game on easiest difficulty to follow the story and later start a new game on harder difficulty
1 tip to kill the demolisher quick is throw 2 handed weapon at his head, the demolisher in the arena can be kill with 3 shots of Heavy Rebar to the head, 1 Heavy Rebar took like 60% of its health
Technically the be the zombie mode is it's own type of infected, which depending on the skill and level of that player depends on how deadly this mutation of the infected is, I believe this is the most deadly and terrifying infected out of them all because it has a tentacle that's just like the humans grappling hook, it's very fast and agile and hes the highest damage being able to one tap human players, on top of that it has two spit abilities one that calls in hoards if managed to hit or land anywhere near a human then a UV light disruptor spit abilitie that can render the human player vulnerable to pounce attacks, hands down the toughest infected in the game.
Something I really like about this game is you always retain some form of control even when performing kick. I don't know how you drift backwards while throwing a kick but it's cool
In my opinion, Virals are way more annoying than Toads. They are faster, more aggressive and they spawn more frequently. I've always hated those ninja-like infected!
My personal favorite method of hunting volatiles is at the bites motel safe zone that gets unlocked after the prodigal son side quest. Just stand in the barricaded spot beside the bus, normal biters can't reach you because of the barricade, and the volatiles are stopped by the uv light surrounding the safe zone, and I just shoot at them from that safe corner lol
One time I used my Survivor since and I completely ignored the screamer I was able to shoot in the head with a shotgun Point Blank Range. All I had to do was just use my Survivor sentence once I was in the range of which it started screaming
For persons what played toooooo much elder ring or other games where you use shield to parry in DL are shields and those can parry (almost) everything and almost i means they cant parry -volotiles(both versions) -boss enemies(for obvious reasons) -guns (it can block some dmg but shield will break after some time)
if a demolisher throws a rock at you a shield will deflect it but it would break immediately I'm pretty sure, though I might be wrong since I haven't used a shield on a demolisher in years. I'm pretty sure the same is said when a demolisher charges at you. It just most likely breaks instantly or does A LOT of damage.
You forgot one thing about bolters they also come out in the morning eating flesh meat that attracts them on the following DLC also you can run them over if you already know that
How to fight off Night Hunters Guide: *||-|| WEAPONS ||-||* •Have A Machete •Have A Khopesh •Have any sword-like weapon like the first two I said •Have A Crossbow (Doesn’t matter which type it is like a Heatwave or a Upgraded Crossbow) •Have a automatic gun or a gun like the Dawnlight • Have a Heavy Weapon/2H Weapon like a Axe *||-|| FIGHTING IT ||-||* •Always hit when he is around you or gets close to you. Don’t be afraid to hit. •Do not always go for the hit while you first encountered him and you evaded his tackle. He might spit •When he misses the ground pound, get after him and kill him •Use that Heavy when you already hit him once because then he will get insta-killed (depending on the amount of people.) May be scummy, but A man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do. *||-|| ABILITIES ||-||* •Ram Ability. Good for when they miss groundpound, to stop them from sprinting, and to send them a few meters back. •Dropkick Ability. It locks into an animation where you do a brutal dropkick to the hunter to send him flying. Good for when you want to mess his moving up, easily spammable, using it on high buildings, and to generally make him get away from you. •Rain Death. This move is always a one hit kill when you do it on the hunter. You gotta be high up though to get this done, but it is worth it. • Throwing. Throwing one handed weapons is very powerful because it does more then a 2 handed swing. Throwing a 2 handed however can insta-kill the hunter (depends how many people.) •Dodge. These come in handy with nests, when you get UV Suppressed, and for a battlefield (sort of) •Grappling Hook. These are best for when you get the Horde on your ass. You can grapple up there. Don’t immediately go on a high place when the night hunter is near because he will tackle you or pounce. Evade his tackle first or make him run away and then get on a high place. •Night Hunter Boosters. These are really good boosters because they have 4 abilities. Basically when you first encounter him, try and deplete his energy and make him run away so then you can use grapple hook and get to the nest quicker. Depends on the Hunter’s skills though if you should evade him or face him head on. This is a pretty good Strat. •Blood-Thirsty. This means you are full-blown aggressive towards the Hunter. This is good for killing him easily but get spitted on a lot. This depends on the Hunter’s skill though if he’s good or not. Not the best Strat, but gets the job done. •2H Spammer. You’re generally trying to make him run away so you can get the nest or just try and kill the Hunter quick. You are a b*tch though for spamming it, so you will lose dignity and your reputation for it. Overall, pretty good strat. •Potion Stacker. This is a pretty good Strat and I’m not really seeing problems. It’s basically just buffs and that’s it. Good Strat. •DFA Rider. You just wait endlessly for a Hunter while you’re on top of a high place ready to just Rain Death on him. The Hunter will get angry with you though and make him fight mindless, so that’s pretty good. Honestly, I understand why the Volatiles have a ranged attack, I just believe that their ranged attack does WAY too much damage compared to how fast they can do it. I’ll be in the process of climbing a wall while in a chase and when I’m halfway up the wall I’ll get hit with 3 Volleys in one second and go from full health to dead. It comes to a point where I’m less concerned with their melee attacks and more concerned with their ranged attacked.
Toxic Variants (green-skinned biters, goons and virals) is weak to fire, they will be set ablaze everytime you swing at them with a weapon with fire mods but be careful when they die burning, their heads explode infecting nearby zombies turning them into a toxic variant also damaging kyle during the explosion and the results of the explosion is virals spawning which can get pretty annoying fast, another thing is toxic zombies get yeeted by electric and impact mods 🤣
dangerous tip to defeat a volatile have a source of light directly on them or a flare in their close proximity (just throw it at them) dive head on with the volatile like madman because they are at their vulnerable state (shotguns work too especially the semi auto) they might pounce and they definitely will hit you at least two times vaultable leveled fences are pretty useful if you keep a little distance NOT ADVISED IN NIGHTMARE DIFFICULTY unless there is a friend that can insta-heal you
Around 4:40 My friend and I are playing on Story mode since it's his first time and I gotta teach him a little about it, but for some weird reason, the Virals constantly spawn, no matter if we make noise or not.
For the gastankers the slide kick skill where you break a zombied legs can insta kill them. They dont seem to have a crawl animation so if they cant walk the game just considers them dead. For virals just stand on something high and wait by the ledge kick or hit them off repeat till dead if you have the ground execution skill you can insta kill them as they climb up.
I want to say, that in the mission where we are on Rais Arena and we are fighting demolisher, i used this steel pipe with concrete to kill him. I just threw it on demolisher and he was killed. I dont know if it was a glitch but it dealed 750 damage and instantly killed demolisher.
I’m sad that you left out in level 4 chase Oxygen Tank zombies will chase you down while screaming and suicide bomb you (only time you see them other than finale in the construction site with Rais)
i am level 50 legend level, al of them are easy, the demolisher, one crossbow bolt on his head and he drop like sack of shit. the volatiles, i hunt them in their nests 2-3 mele hits and their done
Fun fact u can one shot the demolisher in the pit quest u need the concrete rebar and the ability to throw melee weapons and if u get a shot on the head (dosnt matter if the helmet is still on) u will one shot it.
U forgot to mention: Night hunter, gool hulk and demolisher from harran prison DLC ( at the end the final boss is demolisher that has bubbles on his shoulders and arms its also slighty bigger and has more hp and deals more damage.
The bombers in sector 0 are more deadly than the bombers in the slums because a mix of viral zombie that run and gastank that will suddenly appear from nowhere and running towards you then boom
pretty sure some types of demolishers have a exposed belly if you hit it they take way more damage its just tricky to hit some times and the other versions dont have it and have better and more armor
My favorite tactic for farming volatiles is to find a spot with two exploding car traps close to each other. Trigger a chase, set off one trap, then run to the other. It won't kill them instantly but will cause damage and eventually kill them, and since there will be groups of them, it can be a nice XP farm that is relatively safe if you use the grappling hook to help you cover the ground between traps faster. During later stages of the chase, you may have to wait on the pack for a second to ensure they're close enough that they'll make it to the car in time to get damaged.
I remember i got stuck nowhere near a safe house at night in a hunt and all i had was the chainsaw and 2 semi auto shotguns and i just had to fight until morning eventually spared me it was the WORST 7 minutes of my time playing this game thus far lmao

Gotta admit though its a shame they removed screamers from DL2 considering there are kids in that game too.

There is a really efficient way to kill volatiles, qethere its alpha or the normal one, if you managed to get a double barrel shotgun flash your uv light on the volatile and the shoot at its head, it just take one bullet. But if aiming at the head is difficult, the aim mostly on its upper torso an double tap, its efficient but might attract othe volatils and night crawlers

You forgot the "Gastank runners" they are hazmat's that have mutated into virals, they can spawn at level 4 night chases and by the Night Hunter in be the zombie mode, those zombies would ran at you screaming like the virals but when get to close they will instantly blow up like a bomber

i love how techland created what is probably the most OP enemy, the alpha volatile, w the ranged attacks, increases health, increased damage, increased awareness etc and said “yeah looks fine”. early game my friends and i were terrified of them but now we’ve got like the hellbeast and last hopes and loads of flares and boosters we just farm them whilst talking about our lives

Not well known fact: the dawn light pistol from the van crane dlc has a special effect that it one shots volatiles and alpha volitiles, but does it’s regular damage to other zombies, I figured this out by shooting a viral three times and then it dying and then shooting the alpha once and killing it, I just tested it and one shotted over 30 farming xp at night on the safe house by the pharmacy

@@Yaoi.z UV light stuns the volatile for 1 to 2 seconds then it pounces on you. UV flares make the volatile run away outside of the UV radius until its over. Thats why you see speedrunners use uv flares in the volatile room in the prison heist, and a cloak potion for the toads.

Pretty nice video, heres just few late facts: bitters can throw their melee weapon at you (usually if you're close but out of reach). Hazmat zombies are unable to bite due to their suits and will only punch/slap however they can still be seen munching corpses (likely a bug). I feel like these tips could been cool to hear and would fit the video.

In fact, its... *more or less* easy to play at night (obviously im not talking about nightmare) and avoid Volatiles when you're crazy enough to get used to it and the green runners can be spotted some safe areas, making a perfect way to farm.
The spitter and the children are two of the worse, after the first encounter with them i expected some shit like the witch from Left 4 Dead and fuck sake im glad they aren't in the main game at least.
Nights are a very good way to farm survival xp, because for surviving it you get around 60k normal xp (not legendary xp). And nights are a lot safer with the camouflage and grappling hook perks.

In the first Demolisher fight, just collect all the rebar in the arena most of them are near the walls, throw them at his head and deal massive damage thus making the fight much shorter and easy.
I accidentally figured out another way: wielding the rebar as you mentioned on top a s.container then trying to rain pain on it, ended up "controlled falling" on it repeatedly: far as I know, still works.
And also throwing the arena machete takes put half its HP if it hits the demolishoners head
I figured this out by accident when i was lile "you know what fuck it" and yhrew my machete at tje demol8shers head and was baffled that he was half HP and died to it

You can also use firecrackers and set them near the oil during the demolisher boss fight to rapidly damage him

First time playing Harran Prison today, I got trapped in a tiny room in the section where the multiple alpha volatiles are. I had basically no health, two of them ran in along with a couple virals, and I frantically swung a Ben Franklin Dragon Ji at them both while running side to side in a panic. Amazingly, it killed them all and I survived the room lmao, the shock effect was actually very effective at keeping them from finishing me off.
You forgot to include the explosive arrows against the volatiles.

i looove standing just outside of a safe house, using the explosive arrows on them and watching them go flying high up in the air. so much fun. you don't even need to actually hit them, the explosion alone is enough to do damage
in the bolter tissue mission i killed 2 volatiles with a nightclub it was pretty scary at first but got used to fight volatiles at night
I'm playing DL1 for the first time and I just finished the pit demolisher fight
I managed to beat him only using pipes and table legs because I completely fkn forgot that Rais gave me a machete
I was so focused on avoiding and learning his movesets that I didn't even use the one thing that could help me in the fight
There is also the nights hunter, the most powerful one and a blend of all zombie, they can split, grapple, parcours, have some kind of armor, a survivors sens kind of, they only spawn at night they can spawn another type of zombie that has suicidal tendencies , can be temporarily immune to uv light and are overhaul the king of zombies,

Volatiles can be one-shotted if you can angle them perfectly against some of the many spikes around the world, and then kick them or make them back off with the UV flashlight.
I killed a few after the infamous first night mission this way, when you reach the safe zone there's spiked barrels at the entrance
im doing my first playthrough on story mode and every time i leave a safe zone 3-4 virals spawn i like to play a game on easiest difficulty to follow the story and later start a new game on harder difficulty

1 tip to kill the demolisher quick is throw 2 handed weapon at his head, the demolisher in the arena can be kill with 3 shots of Heavy Rebar to the head, 1 Heavy Rebar took like 60% of its health
Technically the be the zombie mode is it's own type of infected, which depending on the skill and level of that player depends on how deadly this mutation of the infected is, I believe this is the most deadly and terrifying infected out of them all because it has a tentacle that's just like the humans grappling hook, it's very fast and agile and hes the highest damage being able to one tap human players, on top of that it has two spit abilities one that calls in hoards if managed to hit or land anywhere near a human then a UV light disruptor spit abilitie that can render the human player vulnerable to pounce attacks, hands down the toughest infected in the game.

In my opinion, Virals are way more annoying than Toads.
They are faster, more aggressive and they spawn more frequently. I've always hated those ninja-like infected!
My personal favorite method of hunting volatiles is at the bites motel safe zone that gets unlocked after the prodigal son side quest. Just stand in the barricaded spot beside the bus, normal biters can't reach you because of the barricade, and the volatiles are stopped by the uv light surrounding the safe zone, and I just shoot at them from that safe corner lol
One time I used my Survivor since and I completely ignored the screamer I was able to shoot in the head with a shotgun Point Blank Range. All I had to do was just use my Survivor sentence once I was in the range of which it started screaming
For persons what played toooooo much elder ring or other games where you use shield to parry in DL are shields and those can parry (almost) everything and almost i means they cant parry

-guns (it can block some dmg but shield will break after some time)
if a demolisher throws a rock at you a shield will deflect it but it would break immediately I'm pretty sure, though I might be wrong since I haven't used a shield on a demolisher in years. I'm pretty sure the same is said when a demolisher charges at you. It just most likely breaks instantly or does A LOT of damage.
Which is good for sergeant death row since he throws rocks so fast you literally can't dodge it
Also I'm pretty sure you can parry volatiles with the shield. I'll have to try that next time I play through the game

•Have A Crossbow (Doesn’t matter which type it is like a Heatwave or a Upgraded Crossbow)
•Have a automatic gun or a gun like the Dawnlight
• Have a Heavy Weapon/2H Weapon like a Axe
*||-|| FIGHTING IT ||-||*
•Always hit when he is around you or gets close to you. Don’t be afraid to hit.
•Do not always go for the hit while you first encountered him and you evaded his tackle. He might spit
•When he misses the ground pound, get after him and kill him
•Use that Heavy when you already hit him once because then he will get insta-killed (depending on the amount of people.) May be scummy, but A man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do.
*||-|| ABILITIES ||-||*
•Ram Ability. Good for when they miss groundpound, to stop them from sprinting, and to send them a few meters back.
•Dropkick Ability. It locks into an animation where you do a brutal dropkick to the hunter to send him flying. Good for when you want to mess his moving up, easily spammable, using it on high buildings, and to generally make him get away from you.
•Rain Death. This move is always a one hit kill when you do it on the hunter. You gotta be high up though to get this done, but it is worth it.
• Throwing. Throwing one handed weapons is very powerful because it does more then a 2 handed swing. Throwing a 2 handed however can insta-kill the hunter (depends how many people.)
•Dodge. This ability is one of the best skills to have. Use it to your advantage and spam it.
*||-|| EXTRAS ||-||*
• UV FlashLight. This is one of the best things to have against the hunter to decrease his stamina. If it is all drained, get after him and do the killing blows. Be careful though, he might trick you and spit when you get close.
•Zaid’s Flares. These types of Flares “work longer and burn brighter” and are generally better then then flares. These come in handy with nests, when you get UV Suppressed, and for a battlefield (sort of)
•Grappling Hook. These are best for when you get the Horde on your ass. You can grapple up there. Don’t immediately go on a high place when the night hunter is near because he will tackle you or pounce. Evade his tackle first or make him run away and then get on a high place.
•Night Hunter Boosters. These are really good boosters because they have 4 abilities. (I forgot some) they have a block and a speed effect to it. It is great for hauling ass, hitting him, and more.
*||-|| STRATEGY ||-||*
•Evade Him. Basically when you first encounter him, try and deplete his energy and make him run away so then you can use grapple hook and get to the nest quicker. Depends on the Hunter’s skills though if you should evade him or face him head on. This is a pretty good Strat.
•Blood-Thirsty. This means you are full-blown aggressive towards the Hunter. This is good for killing him easily but get spitted on a lot. This depends on the Hunter’s skill though if he’s good or not. Not the best Strat, but gets the job done.
•2H Spammer. You’re generally trying to make him run away so you can get the nest or just try and kill the Hunter quick. You are a b*tch though for spamming it, so you will lose dignity and your reputation for it. Overall, pretty good strat.
•Potion Stacker. This is a pretty good Strat and I’m not really seeing problems. It’s basically just buffs and that’s it. Good Strat.
•DFA Rider. You just wait endlessly for a Hunter while you’re on top of a high place ready to just Rain Death on him. The Hunter will get angry with you though and make him fight mindless, so that’s pretty good. Still a b*tch though for doing so.

Honestly, I understand why the Volatiles have a ranged attack, I just believe that their ranged attack does WAY too much damage compared to how fast they can do it. I’ll be in the process of climbing a wall while in a chase and when I’m halfway up the wall I’ll get hit with 3 Volleys in one second and go from full health to dead. It comes to a point where I’m less concerned with their melee attacks and more concerned with their ranged attacked.

Toxic Variants (green-skinned biters, goons and virals) is weak to fire, they will be set ablaze everytime you swing at them with a weapon with fire mods but be careful when they die burning, their heads explode infecting nearby zombies turning them into a toxic variant also damaging kyle during the explosion and the results of the explosion is virals spawning which can get pretty annoying fast, another thing is toxic zombies get yeeted by electric and impact mods 🤣

have a source of light directly on them or a flare in their close proximity (just throw it at them)
dive head on with the volatile like madman because they are at their vulnerable state (shotguns work too especially the semi auto)

For the gastankers the slide kick skill where you break a zombied legs can insta kill them. They dont seem to have a crawl animation so if they cant walk the game just considers them dead. For virals just stand on something high and wait by the ledge kick or hit them off repeat till dead if you have the ground execution skill you can insta kill them as they climb up.

I want to say, that in the mission where we are on Rais Arena and we are fighting demolisher, i used this steel pipe with concrete to kill him. I just threw it on demolisher and he was killed. I dont know if it was a glitch but it dealed 750 damage and instantly killed demolisher.
I’m sad that you left out in level 4 chase Oxygen Tank zombies will chase you down while screaming and suicide bomb you (only time you see them other than finale in the construction site with Rais)

i am level 50 legend level, al of them are easy, the demolisher, one crossbow bolt on his head and he drop like sack of shit. the volatiles, i hunt them in their nests 2-3 mele hits and their done

You forgot to mention the Demolisher has a second version where he is wearing hazmat gear and gas mask. He has a tank on his back like the Gastank

Also, bolters do appear in the day in Dying Light the following, but they start running when they see you... so run them over with the buggy
U forgot to mention: Night hunter, gool hulk and demolisher from harran prison DLC ( at the end the final boss is demolisher that has bubbles on his shoulders and arms its also slighty bigger and has more hp and deals more damage.
The bombers in sector 0 are more deadly than the bombers in the slums because a mix of viral zombie that run and gastank that will suddenly appear from nowhere and running towards you then boom
Proper way of dealing with screamers is to run at them and drop kick the baby 😂
The demolisher has another weak spot, but is risky. The stomach has no armor and you can deal a ton of damage
the part about dl2 gas boys and dl1 gas boys is that the dl2 gas boys dont fly in spirals when they get their tank hit

Basically Virals are recent normal people who've succumbed to the infection.
My favorite tactic for farming volatiles is to find a spot with two exploding car traps close to each other. Trigger a chase, set off one trap, then run to the other. It won't kill them instantly but will cause damage and eventually kill them, and since there will be groups of them, it can be a nice XP farm that is relatively safe if you use the grappling hook to help you cover the ground between traps faster. During later stages of the chase, you may have to wait on the pack for a second to ensure they're close enough that they'll make it to the car in time to get damaged.
The annoying part is reactivating them
I remember i got stuck nowhere near a safe house at night in a hunt and all i had was the chainsaw and 2 semi auto shotguns and i just had to fight until morning eventually spared me it was the WORST 7 minutes of my time playing this game thus far lmao

Gotta admit though its a shame they removed screamers from DL2 considering there are kids in that game too.

There is a really efficient way to kill volatiles, qethere its alpha or the normal one, if you managed to get a double barrel shotgun flash your uv light on the volatile and the shoot at its head, it just take one bullet. But if aiming at the head is difficult, the aim mostly on its upper torso an double tap, its efficient but might attract othe volatils and night crawlers
