you may want to check your speaker / headphone setup because for me , it was my right ear
you had your headset on wrong way my right ear knows hot to upgrade gen 9 too
mine is left too and for the rest saying its the wrong way, its not. may factors are involved such as sound card and headphone type/brand

All the way though now mate, thank you so much, had looked at that kit and wondered, glad I didn’t. I suggest you look at including cards in the video as a link to your shimming video, so people can find it easier, it’s a great way of engaging people with your other content, or even as an end screen template. Have a look at the end of one of my videos if you are unsure what I mean.

I've had this same blaster for some weeks and now the barrel/hand guard is very loose it i cant tighten it because theres a friggin metal rod down the top side of the barrel, very dissapointing.

Quick auestion, can you put a traver unit in it? I bought a m4a1 gen 8 but i noticed it had no thread and i have no idea which tracer unit fits
I got the same kit but from a different supplier, there were no parts missing and everything fitted in very tight, the barrel was to short so that was the only part I didnt use. I'm using an 11v battery and now it kicks ass.
FYI... I shimmed the bevel gear 1.2mm

Dig your videos mate it's a pity I had to get rid of my gel blasters because of New South Wales pathetic law I think I might be moving up to Queensland in the future but I will always watch your videos and I save some of them too you are the best Tech I'm gel blasters on TH-cam and Australia I reckon

One is the mag release, and the other is i, I don't know. But yeah you can replace or paint em.
Do you have a video on the m4a1 v8? I wish it just had a couple drop pins. I wanna change the inner barrel, but I didn't know how far down I need to strip the rifle to do so
what battery were you running ? If a 7.4 would an 11.1 make alot of difference ? could that motor etc handle a bigger battery ?

also use teflon tape to ur cylinder head, it will make the airseal better
Hey man, I've got all my blaster Shimmed perfect etc but still getting an air leak I presume! Is the T piece meant to be tight on the nozzle? Mines really loose.

i HAVE A M4a1 J9. I find it such a pain in the arse to change or doing anything to it, i tried to put a strap on it and i needed an extra peice to order to hook the strap near the stock, it took me hrs to get it on, i had to buy a real long screw driver to undo the screw through the tube and now i cannot get the but stock back on properly and secured. I just bought it for a film prop, man I'm glad I'm not into the sport i would tear my fucking hair out. There realy doesnt seem to be enough help videos and the instructions for anything are non existent but regardless this video is great !
Yep ive made 2 seperate orders from them and both of them were missing pieces from them, their QC has been terrible. Ive contacted them but yet to hear from them

Just to let everyone know gen9 upper receiver slides forward with ease once pin is removed and mag is out. Dont peal upward you might damage something.
Hi Guido, I've replaced the gearbox bearing and after assembly when I test shot the piston was stuck and I can't make the 2nd shot. Can you advice? :/
Take a tooth off the sector if you need to.

Do you have a particular bearing you like to use? Most of my failures have been from bearings calapsing

Love the gearboxes but hate how hard it is to get parts for a gen 9.... I also had to spend 180 bucks for a metal gearbox so I could do a dsg build... the nylon gearbox won't fit shs brands gears because the spur gear axel is too long so I've had to shave the axel down which has caused a little stress to my bushing now 🙄😒

I got a problem. My gen9 shoot pretty weak, maybe 50m/s. So could you give me some advices ? Weeker than my new Gen8 (I've just bought Gen8 last month)
new oring and change the battery to a proper lipo like a turnigy or something, you could get a spring as well but those two mods are what i did first

Nice vid mate. BTW, any idea why my gel ball slips straight out of the end barrel after each shot? I noticed this after upgrading into aluminium inner barrel on my J9. The inner diameter are both the same about 7.5mm, but the aluminium barrel is an inch longer.

Does this upgrade work with a 7v battery or 11v?
You should do a build with a dual sector gear to see what kind of rof you can get.
This guy didn't shim the gearbox and has no clue how to upgrade one of these things, he'll explode the gun if he tries that
He does actually shim the gears, he says so at 14:26. It’s just not filmed
@@georgeherron4074 well there were no shims on the bevel and spur gear tops so it didn't seem like he did, and it's clear that it isn't when he adjusted the motor a bit and then it started slipping on the bevel, then not much turning and it was screechy, meaning the bevel and pinion gear aren't properly meshing whatsoever.
Another airsoft expert who thinks he knows gel blasters. You can clearly see the shims on the gears although they are black in colour except 1 on the sector. Obviously you dont know a gen9 very well either because if you did you would know there is only a very small amout of adjustment on the motor.
@@lowguidoschopshop Low Guido's Chop Shop they use a very similar gearbox and pretty much same parts including the motor. Since there is low stress in these gel blasters, shimming is way more forgiving. You shouldn't need to adjust the motor height after shimming whatsoever. Also motors have a shit ton of adjustment when it comes to their vertical play so idk why you say they don't have a lot of adjustment. With the way this guy did this, he would destroy his gun if he were to try a DSG.
Upgraded everything... But the motor that still has plastic gear on ir, won't work will it? Still waiting for the motor to come (11.1v 35000rpm 460, same as the one in the video) Sounds like it's just slipping on the stock motor, got a couple of pumps but now it's just slipping

Can you try to Post more about this New J9 with the MOD Shooting, It was so brief the time that you shot the gun, It was totally hyped up on the MOD but then the time you shoot it was so short, and shoot at different things and can you possibly show how good it is at shooting holes in a box at different distances?

and the reason my messages are usually late is because i am currently in China, we live in China half the year and the other half in the USA.
I really liked making shooting tests, but it has become really difficult for me because now I literally have to travel to an authorized range because these things are actually considered firearms in some states of Australia. I can do up to 10m in my garage but thats all.

Thats all i needed in this vid and you stopped the recording and continued after you fitted it.
Couldn't refit trigger spring on my M401 so had to leave it out till i found the secret.
And it's STILL a secret !
So in semi i have to flick trigger back out manually for each shot.
Hahaha its a pain so i probabaly edited the 5 min of swearing out.

Very similar. The J9 also has the long shaft motor.

Unfortunately yes. There is no way to get the gearbox out without removing the motor. And even if you could theoretically keep the same set hight, it may change when you put the new pinion gear on.
@@lowguidoschopshop Cheers for the advice. I'm trying to install a metal buffer tube (xpower) but I can't seem to get it to screw into the spring retainer/receiver. I have the stock spring retainer and it feels like there's just no threading to get the screw to tighten on... Any advice?
I replaced the stock spring with a 1.4mm and its just didn't want to shoot is that because of the motor is to weak to pull back the spring?
you need to upgrade the battery to 11.1V

good guide but cutting out all the little bits that could help people who are new to figuring these things out is a bit meh, those buffer tubes can be a bitch and a half

I had big drammas with them tappet plates from the cam lobes breaking off to binding in the gearbox, i even had to mod the case and tappet just so it would cycle
Had that problem, I used a sector delay chip to solve it

Go to TEH then to upgrades which will take you to Chainsaw. Under Catalogue look up your type of blaster and have a look.
Don’t get this gel blaster I’m airsoft so someone wanna explain what this gel blaster all about with the plastic gearbox ?
It looks a little like airsoft but its not. It shoots small gel balls or orbeez. Its plastic because it is a toy, not and airsoft gun.. not even close. Airsoft is illegal here.

They are called shims because they are shims. Not washers. Put washers into a gearbox and watch it explode.

How's the plastic gearbox hold up? Mine cracked... have to order the nylon gearbox...
I haven't personally broken one, but I have seen a few cracked. they are all nylon now anyway.

if you are using an alloy piston on a standard cylinder head that could be it.
