Love your videos . Love downtown Vegas, though I never stayed there, but always visit at least twice while staying on strip. I love that there is an ABC store there too. $1.00 big bottles of water (at least as of 2021 that was still the price!) and great price for to go beer & canned drinks. I've gambled quite a bit in Golden Nugget, but never ate anything there. Looks like a really good selection of food places. Awesome review!

We stayed at The Nugget last August ( 2021 ) celebrating our Sons wedding. For Me, it was neat because I had never been on Fremont Street. However, we will be staying on the strip again next time we go! There was just more to do on the strip for us. We loved ICE Bar though. Service was great!
The nugget comps rooms generously, If you gamble a couple hundred a day for a 3-4 day stay you're getting comp offers for totally free no resort fee comped rooms for Sunday-Thursday. Bump that up to three to four hundred a day and you're getting rush tower rooms with no resort fee comped any day during the whole year.
We got married in downtown Las Vegas. Stayed in the plaza Hotel downtown Las Vegas. Eat at Tony Roma's in the back of freemount hotel. The lobster and steak is out of this world and the margaritas are wow. From Ireland.
The total price of the room for a week end seems extremely reasonable. Significantly less than what is cost to stay at a comparable iconic hotel on the strip!
I arrived at 1pm at Treasure Island about 2 weeks ago and they let me check in early with no fee …not sure if that was because I was Expedia VIP or not ..they also let me checkout 2 hours later at 1pm on my last day
Good info. One issue of course is weekend room rates. You got quite a bargain. Often tge rate is 100-150 plus fees and resort fee. Easily double what you paid
I recently came to Vegas after not being there since 1999. Wow Vegas has changed. I loved Fremont street so much better than the Strip. And the best hotel I thought on Fremont was the Golden Nugget. Probably not for everyone. But the strip to me just seems to be a rip off machine.
You even call it an "extort" fee and yet you willingly pay it? I really like the GN but only to gamble or visit a restaurant; but I'll rot in hell before I pay resort fees.

They didn't charge me either and I checked in at 10:00 am. Treasure island has been doing their own thing for years.
I was at the Nugget for a business convention and enjoyed it.

I agree. I've seen that exact room go for hundreds more on a busy weekend.
I dropped over $400 on a solo meal at Bazaar Meat (I love that place) Experience was worth it!
