Does the dual screen attachment have its on battery?
@@Definitely-Not-A-Cop No the dual screen is a case for the main phone and it runs off of the main phones 5000mah battery
You can turn off the second screen in the setting if you dont want to use it as well to save battery
I have a g8x dual screen, I use the app called wide screen mode that allows you to wide screen any app you want from the notification bar. It's a must have for the dual screen.
Also you can make dual screen screen shots from the second screen drop down the notifications and create a really big screenshot
Also you can use the camera with the dual screen just fully open the case and the person you're taking a photo can see the frame and how it looks before the picture is taken

@@esoekidjo uhhh i believe the point is you put the camera control on the second screen and open it all the way to where theres a screen on each side, then you use the "selfie" cam as a front cam, showing the camera view back to the person you take a pic of

I wish lg succesed in making smart phones and if they were then they would keep on making phones that are different then the competition and innovative.

turn on the dual screen by double tapping it (and turn it off with double tap on the dual home screen)
You can also move an app from one screen to another with a three finger swipe
Wide screen is better in landscape mode because then the gap isn't in the middle of the screen, it's between screenfuls.
You can also open 2 apps on the main screen

The reason I bought this phone is as of the 12th of June, T-Mobile has a promo offer of buy 1 get 1 free. This is also the successor of the LG V50 ThinQ which means they have been working on this setup for a couple of years now and its only gonna get even more awesome for less money than the Galaxy S series phones. Plus there are quite a few other flagship features. Thank you for the review and demonstration.

Very good in depth review, that's exactly why I enjoy your videos. A single or duel screen, very cool. If you like to tinker this phone is a great option. For audiophile fans, the jack with the 32bit DAC. A ji-gun-da 5ooomamp 🔋 maybe 10hrs SOT? LG comes up with some great ideas. Plus a built in game pad, also very cool. The LG V60=if you like to tinker around this is the ticket!

I just got this phone today. T-Mobile sells the phone with the dual screen. The biggest advantage is the multitasking, but there are a number of cons that make the dual screen impractical for every situations that the reviewer does not mention. For example the front of the dual screen case is glass. So you get a glass cell phone case! I've also heard that you can't use a glass screen protector on the phone because it may prevent the case from fully closing. I'm still waiting on my glass protector to arrive so I haven't tested that myself But the case does not provide any protection for itself nor much protection for the phone. The charger for the dual screen case requires a special adapter that connects by a magnet which is not secure enough to support the weight of the charging cable. You really have to keep the cable straight and not move the phone while its connected to make sure the adapter doesn't fall off the magnet. Also when using the phone as a phone, its awkward to use with the dual screen case on. Its not easy to hold and looks like you are holding a big wallet to your head. And lastly the case adds extra depth to the headphone port so that my 3.5mm plug can't fully connect to the headphone port. I would only keep and use this case in a safe stationary location. I think its too fragile and impracticable to travel and use in every situations. The majority of the time I'll just use the phone by itself in an Otterbox symmetry case.

The difference is more ram. 8 vs 6 GB. A bigger battery, a higher spec processor, a bigger screen. The cameras are almost even. The g8x is much cheaper and also still very fast.

Sam Owers I've ordered my g8x ds today. With the v60 now available the g8x ds is half the price of that. €1080 for the v60 and €458 for the g8x. It's a no brainer for me. Both excellent phones but I'm going for the cheaper one.

Can you use the 2nd screen as a full size keyboard? I would love to use Evernote or type on the 2nd screen and view the app on the top screen.
i believe given the weight you would want the normal screen to be your keyboard and the secondary one to be the content, and yea iirc you can
Yes, but like he said, with the weight, you'd wanna do it in reverse. Use keyboard on main screen and the second for viewing... you can also make the keyboard "thumb friendly" on both portrait and landscape modes. Portrait by swiping the keyboard left or right. In landscape mode if you put two fingers and "split" the keyboard in half, you get a split keyboard.

Where to buy the second screen?
Mine is not coming on the first time since yesterday my buttons are not coming on to access it. I called LG they cant even fix it. The notifications show the button is not highlighted where the buttons are for flash light. Data, etc. If its not highlighted or disable they still could not enable it with no enable info showing. 😬

my hubby just got this phone it's a great phone and everything but the only problem is were not able to upgrade Google Chrome and the security is giving him a message to fix the problem by updating the google chrome because his phone is vulnerable but it's not allowing us to. Plus since the app is pre-installed we can't uninstall we can only disable but even when you disable it, it still gives us a message in the security. We read some of the comments for the app and a lot of people in the comments are saying there's a problem with the app. Is anyone else having an issue with updating Google Chrome on this phone?

Would like to know more about the small screen on the front . Same functionality as the LG v20 small screen? Or its just that, displays time and that's it? Can it display icons and add shortcuts? Stay Always on as long as its out of your pocket?

No the second screen also run on the main battery. There's only 1 battery

I would have a game on one screen and a video playing on the other screen. And whenever I press the screen where my game is paying. It pauses my video. Does this happen to anyone else with the v60 dual screen?

What's the battery life like for a power user that uses dual screens daily? (Like watching TH-cam and playing games) vs if it's single screen?

I have a bunch of apps and I game from time to time on mine and I run on max brightness. A day's use for me starting at 100% at the end of the day I may be on 35 or 40%.
The only drawback to the dual screen for me is the magnetic adapter if you want to charge your phone in the case you gotta have it or take the phone out to charge it normally.

Yes. I dont like the selfie camera in V60. Oneplus 8 checks all in the list.

I have seen a lot of the 2nd screen opened. How does the phone work when closed. What all is shown on the outer screen. Does anyone now if the 2nd screen can be repaired if broken

@@esoekidjo I have bought 3 phones. It is like i thought. The thing I don't like about the phone so far on the case/2nd screen. It is glass. To me it needs to cover most glass with a small area open. I did buy a cover off ebay that someone had drop and cracked the outer screen. I put Matt vinyl on outer screen covered cracks. In side screen works fine.
Why not just carry 2 phones?..
And have to bills? No!
