I wish that strangerville's story lasted longer ;-;
I wish it involved a 2nd storyline focused around aliens, that should've been added in this DLC instead of Get to Work and also get their own abilities and perks as vampires do.

yeah.. they atleast could’ve but in some reactions afterwards or make it more insane and scary.
I feel the same... there were other things to do to make the storyline more interesting and complex, like using the listening device-thing and the spy bugs, choosing the members of the "crew" in another way, giving them a backstory and stuff. Also, if you just focus on finishing the aspiration and not on the "atmosphere" of the gameplay then yeah, of course you don't have anything else to do after 2 hours. Like you can just make a sim, do random stuff, find a partner, get married and have children, or finish every other game pack or game in general for the sake of the accomplishment. But I guess it's just a matter of taste, if you start playing with the thought that you are not gonna like it, well... then that's gonna happen.

Moderate Weirdness: It shall go to Stage 2 of the Weirdness, as in where the world goes into the stage from which you opened the first door of The ########## Lab
Maximum Weirdness: It shall go to Stage 3 of the Weirdness (the final stage), as in where you opened the second door of The #########
Lab where you encounter The Mother and the “Purple Storm” begins
2. Request Fruit
The Mother shall lend you a Bizarre Fruit

ares it also means that if this is the only pack you have, this pack only gives you around 2 hours of strangerville content.
It took me only 1 hour 20 minutes to complete. Not worth the asking price whatsoever.
99% of the reason I'm sad this LP is over is because we don't get to see more of Dima and Reid.
For what it is worth, I really love this pack. It absolutely my style. I played through the mystery before watching this and was so surprised by all the kitschy Area 51 vibes. I got several hours of fun out of the aspiration, while I figured out what to do, worked on my Sims career, played his guitar, and worked on his relationship with his boyfriend. I love the CAS outfits, and many of my other Sims wear the clothes. Especially the straw cowboy hat and the hippy pullover. The buy items I used for my rag to riches, along with camping and eco lifestyle. I like that the Sims 4 team is making niche packs like this. You can live out so many unique Sims fantasies and storylines. While I’ve already beaten Mother, I’ve set the world to level 3, so it’s apocalyptic outside (my favorite science fiction genre). Now, I’m off to play my conspiracy theorist sim, who lives in a bunker, with his boyfriend, in post-apocalypse world filled with “zombies” (aka possessed Sims).

Loved the brawl after a cute wedding. Really enjoyed this mini series, espec since I'm not buying the pack. Thanks for not only being hilarious but so genuine and honest!! Lol I do love them as a couple...wouldn't mind seeing them again tbh!
I finished the story quickly in one sitting as well, and I was a little disappointed, but I actually like the world. The lots need renovations, but once the story was completed and Strangerville wasn’t weird anymore, I actually liked having my sims live there. I also like some of the CAS items.

I'm not that bothered by the story only taking a couple hours to do. I view it like spending money to go to the movies or spending to have any other experience where you go and do it for a couple hours and it was nice. I think the world is cute (let's not talk about the buildings) and I might use it as a side story of one of my sims going there and saving the town and maybe even have some distant cousins move there or just be from there. (I like really long play troughs with cousins and stuff) .

I bought the pack and feel it is worth it. I didn't speed run it and it took more than 2 hours, the cas and build items are good but the buy mode IS mostly use less. I think it's worth it.
I have the same view on gamepacks and such like this. So many people are like "is x game pack really worth $20?" and I'm just over here like my fiance and I spend double that amount on date night. Like imo 2 hours of story content that's the same price as a steak is a good deal.
Like I can understand college peeps being stingy with their recreation money but once you graduate and get jobs in the degree you studied; $20 is pocket change (if you avoided having student loans, that is). owo;

I feel like they definitely could have added more aspects to the story. Like the secret lab was huge and elaborately built but you only really had to use it for sampling and the mother plant. The concept is cool but it felt like they rushed the story.
I loved this lets play u need to do like a blast into the future and it has her and her family living happily in one of the mansions

Winifred I just think your standards are way too low. £20 for a tiny world, rubbish (and everyone knows it) buy mode and okay cas mode? I think people should definitely be disappointed with it because the sims team are ripping us off with barely any gameplay or good items for such a high price, but they know that their fans will just buy it regardless... no shade, just stating my opinion lmao
Winifred What a hypocrite. People are allowed to dislike this pack too. I think the story is a bit short but I like other aspects of it, before you go off. And at least Laundry day is to add more realistic gameplay to those who enjoy family play or stay at home a lot etc. Laundry days CAS/BUILDBUY is pretty too, though I at least understand it isn’t for everyone and I respect that.
Dine out has specific build buy options OBVIOUSLY because it’s for people who want a restaurant or more kitchen items etc. Toddlers stuff has its place, but I’ll agree that my first pet stuff isn’t worth the price and a rip off.
And fyi, just because EA has been ripping us off since base game, doesn’t mean everyone shouldn’t still be complaining even now. Wtf is your logic? Shut up because it’s been years???

You should make your sim die later on and then her daughter should have to make sure strangerville stays safe but then her daughter shows a friend the mother plant and her friend resurrects the mother plant and dies then she has to stop the mother plant but it doesn’t work

I finished the strangerville story and I thought my sim should celebrate so I brought her and her boy friend to a fancy restaurant, wher she would propose. One of the goals was to get the sims to be playful and she proseededto laugh to death. Not my the mother plant, but by laughing.

The ending of this video was awesome. They get married and they beat each other up. And they won't stop so lilsimsie can finish her ending. It is like a Bugs Bunny cartoon with the slapstick comedy. You couldn't plan this any better than this. OMG! MAJOR LOL!!!

Strangerville is the perfect world to create something dark like a zombie apocalypse. All you need is some grungy, old CC and it's perfect. I actually want this pack just so I can make apocalyptic videos with the world. Maybe I'll do that someday.

I don't think this should cost 20€. A bit too expensive. Especially since the objects are kind of disappoining.

Yeah most of the objects are for the secret lab. I’ve watched a few game changers review the pack and they seem to love the items but I just wish we got more furniture for our houses.
ella yeah I’m not attacking the game changers but if you were given a pack for free you’d be happier about the items. I’m not saying they’re intentionally biased... But I know if I was given the content for free I’d be more lenient on it than if I had to spend my own money on it.

i agree, the whole 'defeat the mother' senario was really anticlimactic. tbh based off the €20 price, I'd expect a way longer story. the idea was brilliant but the execution could've been better/more developed
It‘s so “strange” that the secret lab has this black thing in its name. I thought you had to censor it or something but I bought it and it’s really called “The ------ Lab”? I really wanted the game for the neighborhood (it’s really small tho), the military career and the apocalypse items for my Fallout family. Is it worth $20? Nah... but which Sims 4 game is? But I bought it. Again. Sigh. I can’t help it, it’s addictive.

HushLittleBaby I really can’t help buying the new sims packs but this one doesn’t really have any objects that are applicable to multiple kinds of gameplay. And the story is reallyyyy short. Just doesn’t have enough in it for $20 in my opinion

I literally played through this story in a couple of hrs, so if you want it to last longer I recommend playing with a household of more than 1 sim so that way you'll spend time doing other things other than just focusing on solving the mystery

Tbh, I'd get the pack just for the world. The game is fun or whatever, but I just love desert type stuff so much. I think I personally could enjoy the plot, but then I think I'd happily just use the world to make desert things. It's just so up my alley aesthetic wise. Anyways, I love the videos so much! Thanks for posting it!
