    These instructions belong to the very best you find on youtube. As I used glitter yarn in several colours it was not necessary to apply any starch or sugar water or the like. I usually leave the thread a bit longer and then just stitch around the contour. Thanks for sharing this lovely bell.

      Thank you, great to hear you like it and the instructions! 😊 True, if you have fairly stiff glitter yarn, you don't need to starch them! I'm sure yours are beautiful!

    How do you hardened your work?

    • @SawyerIsTheChosen
      @SawyerIsTheChosen 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      2 methods. I spray with starch or two dip it in a glue and water solution.

    • @TuulaMaaria
      @TuulaMaaria  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I either use white glue with a little water or a sugar-water solution with 40% water,60% sugar heated.

    My only issue is you never say what size hook you’re using

    • @TuulaMaaria
      @TuulaMaaria  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes, this is because the important thing is to use a hook that goes with the yarn a person is using. If I say that I use a certain hook (like 4 mm in this video) and then someone crochets the same thing using fine thread or chunky yarn, it isn't going to work. The important thing in projects where the yarn weight doesn't matter is to use the right hook for the particular yarn you are using, regardless of what yarn I'm using. In these bells the yarn weight only matters in determining the size of the bell.

    I like this pattern but unfortunately I have trouble not following the tutorial because you don’t show how to end row two. It’s very important to show clearly the beginning and end of each row. Thank you.

    • @TuulaMaaria
      @TuulaMaaria  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I wonder what is missing from it? This is the first time I hear this out of the 80.000 times this video has been watched. Like in all my videos, if something gets repeated the same until the end of the row, I do not show it more than with one or two stitches.
