This was beyond what my crocheting experience could possibly get me through. I made one! I did it!!! Thank you so much for your patient explanation (I NEED IT)! I can't wait to make more xoxo
Thank you! Wrote a comment for your star here...ugh! Lol I do know trees but hey! I love this one! I have six trees. Yep different sizes one is just for handmade ornaments. My biggest uses which ornaments I feel like that year!
Gorgeous! I love making embroidered Christmas decorations, have never tried to crochet - thank you for breaking it down so simply. They look lovely. Have a wonderful Christmas.
I’ve been looking for a Christmas tree ornament, this is the perfect one! Clear and easy instructions. Just like the slouchy beanie. Thanks for sharing your talents. Oh, and I like your accent.🙂
Thank you Tula for your tutorial for this Christmas tree! I will be making some to tie on packages & such! Please stay well & crochet on! Love from the USA!! 🇺🇸❤️🌹
@@TuulaMaaria , I've made this bubble Xmas tree last night. It looks lovely, very unusual. Only request is if you could specify which stitch to go into rather than "this stitch here". Love how you do the stump, so neat. Do you have written instructions on your patterns? Thank you.
Hi I'm somewhat new at crocheting. Is there a visual difference with foundation stitching or is it used as a "2 birds 1 stone" method for getting the chain and first row of sc done at the same time? I know that when I chain and then sc it curls up but it could be that I'm doing it too tightly 😅 thanks!
There is a slight difference that normally foundation stitch isn't as tight. But that depends on the way a person crochets too. I far prefer the foundation stitch because I find it so annoying having to get the hook into the chain stitches 😊
I think it looks better. But the big thing is its stretchy like the rest of your crochet. This is so important in garments, hats, scarves, etc. You can find instructions for all the stitches, single, double etc just use search on you tube. The biggest hint that helped me was to find the stitch to go into look at the piece upside down.
Tuule I know this is older but I'm hoping you see this! I'm making one using different colors of beads for ornaments. Lol just how to get the bead on front of popcorn? Lol I can practice this. But so hoping you already have!!!!!!
There would be two ways, you can sew the beads on afterwards. Or thread them all into the yarn before starting and taking them one by one to leave between two stitches.
You can first switch on the subtitles and then go to the settings to select automatic translation to Portuguese. I know it's not perfect but it gives you most of the content right. Hope this works for you! 🙂
Tuula I just started crocheting again. I never ever finished a project that I had started. (I was young then) my mother just passed away in August and she left so much yarn and I decided to finish what she started or wanted to start. Your videos are the best I have found yet. And I have looked! You are a wonderful teacher and teach at a perfect pace. Thank you so much for your tutorials. May I ask, what nationality you are? You accent is so soothing and reminds me of my grandmother who was Ukrainian. She was a master at crocheting. However my grandmother passed when I was young. She taught me the basics and always made me those book worms. The corkscrew crochet. :0) Blessings to you!
Thank you for reaching out! Happy to hear you enjoy my videos 😍 I'm sorry about your mother. It's great you want to finish what she had started. I'm Finnish but lived many years in Northern Ireland so that has affected my accent! All the best for your crochet!
Ok 😊 Yes, lots of people hold differently! But all the different ways seem to get the same result. I find my way good in that it doesn't tire your hands at all!

I see your name is spelled wrong! I changed it three times. This spell checker won. Ugh!

Love this. Thank you.
Happy New Year.
Thank you, you too!

Soo cute 🌷🌷
Did you mention what size hook you were using?
Probably not, I'm just saying to have a hook and yarn that go together. But it's size 4 mm for the yarn I was using.
Ohhh! Okay. I’m making some of these to go on a Kindle cover I’m crocheting for a gift. These are so adorable! Thank you!

Great, thank you!
Very nice one dear ..like👍👍👍👍👍
Glad you like them!
Is the beginning row supposed to be a row of 14 single crochets?
Foundation single crochet. Which means making the chain and first row at the same time.
@@TuulaMaaria I've made 3 of them so far. 😃
You hold your hook the same as me. Lol
Ok 😊 Yes, lots of people hold differently! But all the different ways seem to get the same result. I find my way good in that it doesn't tire your hands at all!
Written Pattern?????
No written pattern but there is a crochet chart for this in my blog: www.knit-crochet-christmas.com/crochet-a-christmas-tree-shaped-ornament/
