  • Blaster Dry Lube vs Blaster Graphite Dry Lube. What's The Difference?
    In this video, we are going to take a look at the differences between Blaster Dry Lube and Blaster Graphite Dry Lubricant. Both products leave a dry layer of lubrication wherever you spray them. The key takeaway from this video is that the Dry Lube dries to a white haze and the Graphite Dry Lubricant dries to a black film. So when going to use these products, keep in mind where and what you will be lubricating!
    B’laster Dry Lube helps reduce friction & wear, protect surfaces and enhance performance. Use it on locks & latches, hinges, cables, window & door tracks, rope and conveyor belts. It provides superior lubrication and is safe for use on most plastics.
    B’laster Graphite Dry Lubricant reduces wear to extend equipment life. It creates a quick-drying film that provides long-lasting lubrication. It’s recommended as a general maintenance lubricant on gaskets, transfer belts and conveyor belts. Graphite Dry Lubricant is also suitable for high temperatures, low load, locks, rollers, wheels, gears, chains and hoists.

    I purchased a Blaster product to use to undercoat my lawn mower. I mowed, and the dirt/grass peeled off after a wash. Looks like new. Great product.

    I have been trying to figure it what lube to use on what product and from what company for so long. My mind is now set on blaster products. I don't necessarily know if their the best or not, but they are providing helpful information rather then deceiving marketing and I appreciate the hell out of that. I can't stand how some other companies will label their products in meaningless and deceiving ways.

    For locks and keys. Can you spray on the key and insert to the lock to apply the dry graphite? Will it still work like if spraying directly in the lock cylinder?

    Lawn mowers and snow blowers are meantioned as example applications of the normal dry lube, but it appears that the graphite dry lube is more durable/less likey to wipe off. Woudl that mean that graphite dry lube might be better for those applications is the color does not matter? Is there any downside to using graphite vs regular dry lube on a lawnmower deck?

    • @littlejack59
      @littlejack59 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I assume the only possible concern would be that it's electrically conductive which could both be an issue relating to static but the more likely issue being accidently spraying past the lawnmower blades and into the housing where the motor and electronics sit. But I guess for something like a snow shovel it would be good as long as you don't care about the color.

      The regular dry lube would probably be a better choice. With the graphite you may end up with graphite on the pull rope that would then possibly get on your hands/gloves when you're attempting to start the machine. Both products will perform well at 50 below.

    Hi Sir, This is urgent. I cleaned everything with Citrus degreaser, as u said. Then blaster silicone lubrication the hinges and roller bearing and pins. But now bad squeaking when garage near closing. Also when its opening. I think rollers may be skidding when near closing. I again cleaned both tracks and all rollers. Then lubricated all bearing and hinges.
    Made sure plastic rollers and tracks are dry. Nothing solved the new squeaking problem. Help..

    Another application is for the tens of thousands of folks who drive scooters. The variator in scooters has "rollers" or "sliders" which move due to centrifugal forces on a ramp. Only a dry lubricant should be used and I see in another video that the demonstrator used the Blaster Dry Lube. Perhaps he would be better off in the long run to be using the Blaster GRAPHITE Dry Lube. It would be more resistant to heat and would probably cling better to the metal ramp for long term slipperiness.
