Potro Dio is originally from a famous poem named 'Prosthan' by legendary poet Helal Hafiz. Emon Chowdhury is one of most versatile composers. His is an amazing guitarists and singer too. Listen to Chirkut Band.
The point you made about Tuhin and Shironamhin is spot on. Shironamhin is a totally unique band in every aspect ( Lyrics, music, composition) that you can easily identify their tune from other bands. And I think as a band to evolve with such a unique philosophy, they needed a unique vocal which can express the strong emotions of the lyrics and at the same time connect to the audience (both live and recorded). That's why there are people who were deeply saddened by his departure. Shironamhin and Tanzir Tuhin complemented each other impeccably. This blend created a unique genre in our music industry. I was a big fan of sheikh Istiaq bhai (Tuhin's replacement at shironamhin) even before he joined Shironamhin. Although Shironamhin gave some good numbers with Ishtiaq, that signature "Shironamhin flavour" wasn’t there at least for me and many others who grew up listening to them. cheers!
WOW! What a choice of song on coming back. Simply great. Really missing your discussions. Yaa...this song is beautiful. And you guys are brighten up it's beauty even more by your wonderful reactions. Enjoyed after so long. So welcome back again. Waiting for more reactions. Enjoy Bangla music. 😊 And keep up your good work... Take Care.... Love From Bangladesh ❤❤❤
Tuhin is amazing as a singer,,,he has a unique voice,,,his choice of songs is also very captivating,,he sings from his souls,,he sang so beautifully,,he means every words from his heart...
actualy Tu hin bhai set the tone of Shironamhin, and Emon bahi on of the finest guitarist in our country. You can cheeks Chirkut band few Movie song of them
Helal Hafiz was a journalist by profession and did not write many poems, I think he has only two or three published poem collections. In his teenage years, he fell in love with a girl he mentions as Helen. But her parents married her off to someone else. Hafiz could never recover from that breakup and stayed single all his life. I think a third of all the poems he wrote were about Helen. This song is a rendition of one of them. Here's a (weak) translation-- Where are you now, how are you? Please write to me. The hand-fan we bought from the fair in a careless afternoon I wonder how that dwells in your hand. Please write to me. Wonder which page on the calendar keeps staring at you in blank eyes full of pain, as I do. Please write to me. Which words keep whispering to you through the day? Which memory urges to float away in a torrent of love? Write to me, write to me. Or you can forget me with affection, I won't mind. If there was a loss it was mine, what does it matter to anyone? It better be my fault, my fault that I loved dowsed myself in the pollens of a withered flower killed the calm of the afternoons- what does it matter? How much rot can happen to one life? How much hurt from one woman?
During the mass uprising of 1969, two verses written by Hafiz were on every wall in Dhaka-- "Whoever has youth, it is the time for them to go to the protests. Whoever has youth, it is the time to go to war." He could have died in the Dhaka University massacre on the black night of March 25th of 1971. He was a residential student in Iqbal Hall, a major target of the Paki army. Luckily Hafiz went to see some friends the previous day and was spending the night outside. That saved his life.
Tuhin, this guy actually played with our emotion. He is the formal vocal of the band "Sironamhin". Sironamhin is in this position now a day because of him.

Assalamu Alaikum Brother. I have a recommendation for you. If you can, please listen to the song "Shotto Hok" by Road 31. Hope you guys will like it. I don't tell you to react on the song. Just listen to this, if you still haven't listened it.
oh hell naaw. it takes multiple hearings to develop taste for a song. blind reactions to songs is the lamest type of content to exist on youtube. also reviewing a song after hearing it for the first time doesn't make any sense either.
I actually would disagree, the higher notes while executed perfectly the melody itself was all over the place and not coherently structured. It was kind of aimless.
