Love your videos! This is the second lens ive picked after checking out your videos. Just got a used one from B&H .I got the Canon 24-70 after i saw what it would look like on the 6k Pro
I’m not cropping in, vignetting happens mostly before 13mm. The sensor is a known part of the camera, if it bothers you it’s best to go with different glass for your wide.
Amazing video sir. I have a question, Because of the 6k pro sensor, the tokina turns into like 21-30 right? The same for the sigma 18-35, it turns into 33- 66 or something? Best Regards.
beautiful footage! any taughts on the 11-20 tokina cine zoom/ 20-55 dzo film zoom? also do u think u need to rig it up to prevent micro jitters? (when filming 24 fps)
thanks! those lenses are at a whole different price point so wouldn't compare them to this thing that costs under $500. I would say adding some weight, putting onto a gimbal, or putting into a shoulder rig will give you the smoothest footage and help with micro jitters, but the camera itself is already decently heavy so it's not as bad as you may expect.
Bruh, fantastic footage; I especially liked the very first sequence in the rain. I literally just pulled the trigger on one of these myself - I was able to purchase a refurbished unit directly from Tokina.....for half price! Question for you: in other reviews I have seen mention of this lens having potential color fringing issues. I don't really see any of that in your footage. Have you noticed any color fringing at all, and if so, how do you deal with it?
Appreciate that so much man! Solid buy, things are underrated. It's true there is some fringing, really pops up in harsh bright conditions. It's not crazy but if you're pixel peeping or punching in much, it's there. Really all I do to combat it is to try and find it when shooting and avoid it, it's too tricky to deal with in post most of the time. I just live with it if I love the composition ya know?
Nice footage and review, I'm looking for some fast wide lenes for my 6k and Tokina lenses looks like the best option. I wish there was something like sigma 16 1.4 that I have for my sony :D You got new sub :)
Anytime! All of this was 6KRaw, 24fps, 180 shutter (mostly, sometimes changing to compensate for flicker) I rarely go higher than 1600, so this was probably mainly 1600, with some 800 in brighter spots sprinkled in.
this video makes me want to get this lens so bad. great review bro! I have a silly question, how do you keep yourself in focus without flip screen? thanks! 😂 edit: I notice small vignette around the corners, at what focal length would you say the vignette become less noticeable?
thanks! I'm rarely filming myself with this camera, but when I am I look for an item that I can be level with to set focus. Vignette to my eye is gone by ~13
Very beautiful footage. Did you use any lens filters?
TY, no none!
@@georgemichaelofficialwow! Is this lens v1, 2, or 3?
@@TheDude-vx6wn no idea, didn't even know there were versions. Def not v1, likely v2.

those two are a great combo! thanks for checking these videos out
I got this lens but am experiencing heavy vignetting even though it’s a 35mm sensor :( are you cropping in?

@@georgemichaelofficial It was the lens hood causing what I thought was vignetting 😂 so relieved
Broo, how did your audio sound so good in a car, damn - good stuff
haha thanks! tip: hide your audio recorder in plain sight!
(It's right on top of the steering wheel 😂)
Do you clean up the chromatic aberration in post or is there a setting in the 6k pro to fix it?
I didn't do a thing in post for CA, really didn't see a lot I was bothered by that needed treatment.
Great video!!! What is the cross street you were on in your thumbnail??
Appreciate you checking it out! Washington & Water in Dumbo.
(place is mobbed any day it isn't raining)

thanks! Not something I worry about often, but crop factor of 1.5 would give you roughly those numbers yes
@@georgemichaelofficial i see. Got it. Good luck with future projects :) hug

I'm sold on this, def the lens to buy for wide shots on the 6k! Thanks 🙏
Nice! It’s def the best choice on a budget to me.
Nice review 👍
Cheers! Appreciate you checking it out
Hi, is it a huge difference between this lens and sigma 18-35 1.8 in image quality?
different lenses, hard to compare 'quality'
Did you have the focus problem with this lens ?
Nope!

Think it’s the best option as well, it’s affordable and wide enough. There’s faster options for sure but so much $$
Thanks for supporting the channel!
Have you ever used a glimmerglass filter with this tokina or sigma 18-35? I'm testing the tiffen GG1 with these lenses
No I haven’t with those lenses
thanks and nice video!
Thank YOU for checking it out!
Own this lens , but looking at this footage , need to learn a lot :)
Very kind! Practice is all
appreciate your content... always answering questions I have. Was this shot 4k pro res or 6k raw? Mostly 3200 ISO? 24fps 180 degree shutter?

have you used it with a follow foccus?
I haven’t! Just racking on the ring
like wow bro wow just watching this feels good thanks a lot G
vibes were good in this one, thanks!
Hey might be a stupid question but how did you keep your camera dry while filming in the rain?
never a stupid question! I take care of it the old fashioned way, just a rain bag gaff taped to the lens hood and my arm inside.

@@georgemichaelofficial Thanks for the answer George!
How do you control your aperture on the 6k Pro?
Front control dial, where your right pointer is when holding the grip.
huh. lots of noise in the darker images here. i wonder if that's just youtube compression @ 1080p or the lens
Likely TH-cam compression, 4K on my actual computer staying crispy.
@@georgemichaelofficial good. Stay crispy
