I wholeheartedly agree. Used to watch the show sometimes with my dad. He liked how they build and utilised the rigs and I was in for the explosions lol
Everyone yells MYTHBUSTERS! But can we please give it up for the narrator!? His rhymes makes me laugh more than anything! And by the way Adam, pirate doesn't go with cowboy hat 😛 36:40
Adam is the kind of person who would take pride in, and work on, drawing great circles. It was really impressive, even more so that he was doing it flat on the table, not like the full arm swing you see others do on chalkboards... Tangent thought, have you seen Walter Lewin's dotted line technique on chalkboards?
The amount of possible jokes when the rc car with the flare repeatedly bumps into the barrel and when the barrel slowly inches forward. In relation to the "pilot's behind
"Drum, Methanol and a Flame" Having visited Southeast Asia, all I can say is, this recipe is actually a children's recipe for creating PVC Cannons and these things are loud af.
Isn't the bone cage swing portion flawed because they made it out of steel instead of bone? Perhaps it would have been easier to swing if it were much much lighter which it would have been if it were actual bone construction. I understand the impracticality of testing actual bone construction but it bugs me when they don't mention stuff like that even.
The alcohol barrel rocket attempt, just shows a total ignorance of physical properties of liquids in equilibrium with their vapour. There is this thing called “vapor pressure”, which is characteristic of each liquid and depends entirely on temperature. That is why the pressure inside a cylinder of propane or ammonia will remain the same all the way until there is a drop of liquid in the cylinder.
I don't know how relevant that is here given how it's an open system with combustion going on. The thrust does not come from vapor pressure but from the energy released by the combustion. The reason the empty barrel had more thrust is because it had a better fuel to air ratio. You can';t really have pressure in an open system, the pressure will be the same as the outside air.
I think the most legendary quote from this series must be the adamant: "I reject your reality and substitute my own!"
Am I missing an eyebrow?
Jamie wants big boom
When in doubt, C4
Watching this on a Sunday with my kid! This show doesn't only bust myth, it also amplifies bonding times between generations.
❤😂

My dad introduced me to this show, we used to watch it together
Yeah remember this back in the day of the 2000s was awesome memories ❤
Yes, just yes! Clean, interesting, educational

I'm starting to think they just made up this pirate episode to give Adam an excuse to do the pirate voice
One of the best mythbuster episodes.
22:02 I love how you can see the shock diamonds in the exhaust flow
Great episode! Never seen this one till today.
Am I the only one who is impressed by Adams circle drawing skills at 03:17 ? O.O

That wasn't even that circular...
Is this the same Pulse Jet Santa "Bob" crazy to see him so much younger..But glad to see him still truckin on!!!
His channel is Robert Maddox, so it seems thats him. To feel old: This episode was first aired in April 2012.
Maybe, you should've asked Collin...
I'm not sure Collin had made his yet when this was filmed.
Climbing they werent holding the cages weight. The crane was lifting up the slack wich inevitably helps them

10:07, the internet has ruined me lol
9:34 😂 And it just gets weirder from there... "I think it's in the hole?" "Yeah..." Grown up stuff.
"Drum, Methanol and a Flame" Having visited Southeast Asia, all I can say is, this recipe is actually a children's recipe for creating PVC Cannons and these things are loud af.
Now i know why the slingshot launch was so essential for the v1 buzzbomb

The swing is a little frustrating to see, is like these guys forgot how to be a kid
Narrator keeps talking about turbo charged but there is no turbo involved here
problem is a bone cage wont weigh the same as the metal one
29:55 apparently Darth Vader never said Luke I am your father. Maybe when this was filmed Mandela effect haven’t taken place yet
There’s two different versions of this scene depending on which copy you watch
A lot of energy in that rocket was lost, the pulses were too short and there was not enough pressure, this very well could have worked
Adam and Jamie are holding them back.
“A Pirates Escape”.
Pirates. Plural.
Greetings from Germanys V1 ;-)
Hi from NZ! 😊
Do a burnout pad outside for better donuts and for smoke saftey!!!
Kari...❤
😂❤😂❤
A shame they did not have Colin Furze available to build them a rocket cart back then. th-cam.com/video/zsXWspo5hrc/w-d-xo.html
You can tell the disgust Jamie had that Adam got seasick on dry land.

@GaijinGamerGirlYou really think most scientists make science videos? On TH-cam? 😂
@GaijinGamerGirl lol
You really think they didn’t know that ? With the amount of episodes explaining this exact concept over and over ?
