There's a lot of Mythbusters I missed, back in the TV days, so I'm so, so happy that it's becoming available here. Better TV is hard to find, and scientific!
@@bertjesklotepino far more scientific then many other things, and do you get a half chub by being rude online, always wondered why some folk is randomly being rude.
Did you notice me saying "Sir" at the beginning of my comment? So may i ask you in what sense i was rude, sir? Just because i think someone is delusional does not mean i am being rude, or does it? And as for the rest of your comment about this "show", sure, it is more scientific then many other things. I would agree to that. BUT it also is not that scientific as we would have liked it to be. For example: Mr Savage said on podium infront of cameras that they were not allowed to dive into certain myths relating to an event that took place roughly 22.5 years ago. They also were not completely fair with another "show" they produced regarding a certain landing on a certain rock in space. That aside.... it is a great "show". And sure, they did include a lot of science. But they also had to keep secret certain science for certain obvious reasons. I hope we can agree on some of the above. And sir, it never was my intention to be rude. Keep in mind: i am a dutch guy trying to type stuff in english. You try it in dutch and let me then give you my opinion. :) Only kidding sir. @@bertjesklotepino clearly, he means scientific for a tv show, obviously we know what is scientific, you don’t have to be a killjoy okay? And specifically by saying “sir”, you made your statement more in line with sarcasm which people tend to take as offensive. You explanation makes you look more like a smart ass, the fact that you don’t make your own comment to criticize the show and come here to judge other people’s opinions, if that’s not rude, what is? It’s a fact that this show is not all science, in this episode, the team could just crunch numbers and prove everything using math and physics. Do you know another fact? That would make a shitty ass tv show.
As I commented on some of your mythbuster episodes, it’s me a 37 year old dad enjoying this with a beer while my kid is sleeping. This is what I call a perfect evening! Cheers guys! And I will definitely rewatch this with him this weekend! He loved the previous water heater episode the most!
Rights got sold off some years ago, AllenPan here from yt bought the merchandise rights, so maybe this channel bought the right for some seasons@@djarcas
I think the basis of the bird cliff drop is the fact that you are waiting on a NATURAL rock edge, and the bird dropping on your car shifts enough rock under the car that it slides off... They only ever used sharp edges for their tests, which bugs me... When we fans said we wanted an actual cliff, we also meant an actual cliff edge!
Ok but it did take only one bird to tip the car - the last one. If you were balanced at that point, and a bird landed, that would do it. 700 pounds of bird is no different than 690 pounds of car and 10 pounds of bird.
if dropping only the last bird is what makes the car tip then one bird literally did make the car tip, they just did a shit job of balancing the car (despite finding the point of balance beforehand!??) and it needed more ballast to move the balance point far enough forwards
Yeah I thought that, you'd think they'd have noticed it during shooting and mentioned why it was further back. Only thing I can think of is they didn't want the wind up there to throw off the experiment, but it's already done that by forcing them to balance the car further back.
Actually, the cliffhanger myth is confirmed: the last bird that tipped it is the one that counts, all the previous ones were just fixing imperfectly balanced car, moving its center of gravity to the edge, which is what mythbusters should have done but failed to do.
I guess it didn't occur to them that balancing the car the other way around with the back over the edge and the heavy motor over solid ground would have given them a much longer lever.
Where did you come by all these episodes? Did you collect them or something, or is there a DVD box out? I wanna have all of em. Every single one of em, including the extra material. Including the part where Adam Savage is on stage explaining why they did not do any of the myths surrounding the gigantic event in 2001.
First of all, there ARE DVDs out there, but (according to other people's comments) those have the TV version on them, which is 6-7 minutes shorter (per episode) than the full version, you're watching right now. Second of all, the owner(s) of this channel purchased the rights for Mythbusters, so they probably got copies of the original material.
Damn they where so close with their rocket. But then grant added the stupid Wheels. And they obviously pulled it down. Could have gone when further without.
25:03 ... Yeah... the thing is that what she is pointing at, is in fact weather manipulation! But I guess they are not up for the task of busting That "myth"!
I love the Mythbusters! In Germany we have the programme with the mouse for children! Things are explained there, but for children! The Mythbusters are for adults, a little bit!
one of the stupidest episodes, of what is ordinarily a great show. Any object, limo or otherwise, will "tip" or fall over an edge, if it's centre-of-mass is forward of the fulcrum. Obviously, you can change the relative location of the CoM by adding or subtracting an object. So yes, if you had the limo perfectly balanced, then the addition of any mass forward of the fulcrum would cause it to fall. So, once again, mythbusters has failed to test a proposition, simply because they weren't able to achieve the correct setup
I CANT BELIEVE THEY USED REAL TURKEYS.All those lives are lost for nothing. You could have just simulated a turkey's weight. I know this was shot in the early 2000s and the culture was different back then, but If this would happen nowadays you would be cancelled. Shame on you for wasting the precious lives of those turkeys.
Grant performing the CPR on Buster after landing was the cherry on top of this episode.

44:15 Those are some wavy rocks.
43:23 , the predetermined tipping points are significantly back from the edge. 🤔
This aired 14 years ago and that gave me a mini panic attack when i realised, where has the time gone 😢

the skateboard trucks are ''venture'' if your curious
I feel like the car tipping entirely depends on how close the car is to tipping before theres any extra weight on it.
That animatronic bird is going to give me nightmeres!
Yeah that limo was not balanced in the center of mass.
What an Episode! One of my Personal Favourites- Nice one Banijay Dude!!🤩🤩😉😉😎😎👍👍
Keep the episodes coming. I need to see season 8 episode 8 Giant Waterslide.
So they balanced the car with the first 25 birds and the 26th sent it over the edge. How is that not a single bird making the difference?
Yeah I kinda thing when the car is teetering on edge with 25 is how the car is supposed to be set up in the first place
but birds aren't a part of the car, so its balanced with extra stuff and technically the car isnt balancing itself?
If the car was balanced so them moving their arms forward from inside the car made it tip… then it was not balanced properly for the birds.
@@GuyDudemanyeah at 43:41, i saw the car position was not between those 2 tapes. So it’s kinda staged to me.
Because it should take just one.not 25.
The 26th did.meaning for 1 to make it tilt ,1 should have a 700 pound of weight,
