Our thoughts and condolences go to our Ian Gillan (and their daughter Grace) who lost his longtime life companion, wife and biggest emotional support, Bron. Bron Gillan died after being seriously ill for quite some time, our hearts are with the Gillan family.

Ian, you were one of the greatest rock vocalist in one of the best bands on the planet. Superstardom obviously brought you fame and wealth and everything you ever wanted.. You could easily have had a million girls to choose from, yet you stuck with only one lady - Bron, which only goes to show what an amazing lady she was. I love Deep Purple but I've no interest in celebrity, however I've always had the impression that Ian Gillan is a genuine nice man. Very sorry for his loss.

So sorry to hear that Ian Gillan's wife died. My husband died 2 and a half years ago at age 59. That's too young, but for the partner left behind, any age is too young. My condolences to Ian and Grace and all of the Gillan family.🥺
I'm so sorry for your loss Tracy. My uncle died 3 months ago in a terrible accident. He was only 44 years old and left a young wife and 3 kids behind. His youngest is only 10 years old. 😔

@@peterkent1582 I just wanted to tell you that I threw myself into my grief so that I would survive it. It took a couple of years, but I'm okay now. I'm happy with my life as it is and hope to see my husband again one day. It's accepting the loss that mitigates the sting of it, however, the pain just becomes part of you but still you move on. I'll probably never have another man in my life, but my son has been an amazing young man and I have friends. I'm disabled, so he takes care of me by just being there. It's good for us both. My daughter has trouble grieving her Dad, and she is seeking help for that. So the gist of this is that we are doing pretty well at this time. Thanks for your concern and care...it means a lot to me. Thank you.☺️

I remember when I heard for the first time Deep Purple, it was ,,In Rock" at the school party in my klas in USSR ... still today my one of the favourite rock band and albom " Deep Purple in Rock" and I am lucky owner of this albom!

To everybody related to Bron! I lived in Osaka age 22 y in 1984. On a winter day I walked in Osaka on a lonely sunday afternoon. Then suddenly I encountered 3 white tall European looking guys! DEEP PURPLE! ( without Ian Paice, he is American). They wondered why I was the only European guy on the street. I asked them the same question and we had a nice chat. They where so kind!
👉🏼Fun fact: a few months later I went to London to visit my uncle who worked as a tour manager for several bands ….The Commodores….and DEEP PURPLE…. The world is a small place. Grrs from Belgium. 😊
I thought you might like this story......I got a transistor radio for Christmas 1970. I was 7 years old. Since all the rock stations played 3 bands in particular, I became a big fan of Purple 💜 very quickly. That was one of 3. The other two were Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. Since I was so young, I didn't even realize the importance of CSNY at the time!
Now my favorite 3 bands are The Darkness, Tool and Purple. Some things never change!
My younger brother has a son, and he and his wife named him Ian, after Ian Gillan! I didn't even ask my bro until about 5 years ago, cause I suspected but wasn't sure. So I asked my brother, " Did you name Ian after Ian Gillan?" He said yes, but looked embarrassed. I said, "You are the coolest brother EVER!"

Another enormous talent says good bye too millions of fans. It was the first Rock band that would use a full orchestra to do an album. Amazing, Deep Purple took rock & roll by storm with Richy Blackmores blazing guitar and Gillians powerful voice would pierce your ears an cement their songs into your brain. Sweet child in time, Space Truckin ,Smoke on the Water , Highway Star , Speed King , Burn , I mean this band kicks in , you better be wearing a seat belt. Too all the Deep Purples members an family my condolences go out to you. My prayers are with you all. Thank you Ian for your powerful voice that I've enjoyed all these years, Thank you Deep Purple for all Heart pounding Rock & Roll.

So very sorry for Ian and Grace and every Gillan extended family member. I have been a fan of Ian's as long as I can remember. One of my best memories is meeting Ian in Buffalo and telling him that I named my son after him. Ian was genuinely touched - just saying this to get my point across of what an amazing man he is and I'm sure he was an amazing husband and father. We are all saddened at the news....My sympathies to him and all who know him and his family.
Ian wrote "Keep it Warm" on the Sabbath Born Again album for Bron. My favorite song on the album. My condolences to Ian and his daughter.

“Don’t hold me back” ( from “Toolbox” ) was also dedicated to her. He said he wrote when she was going through some health issues, she had heart surgery, if I remember correctly.
Ian Gillan is one of the greatest rock vocalists, lyricists and front men in history.. Always been a massive fan of him particular Gillan who are one of my favorite bands. I didn't know his wife Bron, he sensibly kept her out of the limelight along with Grace. They both seem to be lovely people and reflect Ian's character. I know he is a God fearing man. I am devastated to hear this sad news for Ian Gillan and his family. What a legend Ian Gillan is and what a range on his amazing rock voice. The best in the business. His personal life is never how you'd think it would be for such a rock icon. May God bless their family. Their music will never be forgotten, nor will Ian. Although it's true it can seem weird that I'm really sad and feel real pain.
We're all one step closer to the great trip than we just were. Some of us know their loved one/ones are ill and won't stay with us for a longer time.. But it's often always to early. We think we are ready to face these hard moments... but do we really are?

When dp toured Australia in 1984/85, I got to hang out with the band over a couple of days. I got the band to sign my tour programme as well as bron. She was a lovely lady and I spoke to hear on several occasions. I believe she may have had the baby with them at the time. She enjoyed our exchanges and I advised her of places to visit in sydney.

I've been a big fan of DEEP PURPLE since the year 1968. I've had the privilege of seeing all line-ups of the group with the exception of MARK I. My admiration for JAN GILLAN is still boundless and in the 70's I started singing trying to redo his vocal timbres and his movements on stage that over time have entered my heart and blood.Today I learn with great regret of the grave mourning that has struck the GILLAN FAMILY... The beloved BRON has always lived peacefully in the shadows, allowing each of US FANS to possess "a piece of his great love" JAN GILLAN!!! Now that BRON has flown to a better world, she will be able to understand how much LOVE there was in those HIGH VOCALS that JAN shouted to heaven maybe also for HER Dearest JAN think that now in your atrocious silence you will always have inside you that BIG LOVE that BRON left you and if you close your eyes you will see his hand, you will feel him shake yours and you will be able to let yourself be carried away towards that WORLD BEST where SHE will wait for you forever. HEARTLESS CONDOGLIANCES...!!!
