It's got everything - crushing heaviness, great melodies, dynamics and expert song construction, perfect performances from each musician, and above all THAT voice. More from Dino: His original band (Animal Drive) has some great songs like "Tower of Lies" and a killer cover of Roxette "The Look". He also did a project with George Lynch called Dirty Shirley. "Here Comes the King" is a great track from that album
This is one of the best songs I've ever heard and I love how you describe it in colours...never really thougt of music that way but it's true. As you say it's put together perfectly and just makes every atom in me vibrate with bliss listening to it.
Dino is also playing keyboards for Whitesnake as well as sing backing vocals for Coverdale. You can probably hear a bit of Coverdale in his voice. In fact, David has told the band that they could do a performance without him and have Dino do the singing, but the band has turned down the offer by saying that "no, there is no Whitesnake without David."
What I've always thought is that Dino has a timeless singing voice. My feeling is also the same, that this is a Rock Radio song. I like that the composition leaves room for different things. In my opinion, very often in songs of this style there are mistakes in the composition and they become very muddy very fast.
