Biko is one of his greatest and arguably most important songs. I just came across an orchestral version that you could check out. It's called Peter Gabriel - Biko (Live) Most emotional Version.
This entire concert was a top 3 experience. The stage show was designed by French-Canadian Robert Lepage, expressing the themes of tension and union between male and female forces, as represented by two stages linked by moving walkway. I had 4th row centre seats and the entire show was an all engrossing journey. It's not quiet a musical like Pink Floyds The Wall but it linked his song catalogue as a cohesive and emotional ride for the audience. It's like the band was saying they too are seeing not only the show but the world reflected back to them through the audiences eyes. Now I got to do that again with this video through yours. SO meta.
The dancing is 'organic'. Joyful. Gabriel has a real voice. He is subtle while also being extravagant. Rarely sentimental, somehow he balances a serious message with delight. A unique talent.
The woman you hear singing is Paula Cole a few years before she became a successful artist with her own hits. Peter Gabriel is always a great live experience!
To judgey (if that's a word) John on the dancing. Lulu is a supportive wife and this is not the first time she kind of has to laugh at an off the mark comment by hubby. I love all your content. The arrangement of this classic for a live show and to make it "worldly" with the great vibes, excellent musicianship was phenomenal. Probably the most replayed video on my killer sound system. I do feel it !!
I saw Peter just last year (2023) on tour. It was fabulous. And it was my first time seeing him in concert. I saw Genesis with Phil Collins in 1978 and it was the best concert of my life.
I flew to Manchester from Malta to see his I/O The Tour and it was amazing. The last time I had seen him live was 1986 Earls Court London when Kate Bush joined him for Don´t give up. which was incredible. Also saw him in 1972 with Genesis. He is a brilliant artist and performer.
The female vocalist is Paula Cole. She went on to have a career of her own a few years after this. 'Where Have All the Cowboys Gone' is probably her best known song.
Peter took a great song & shot it into an epic stratospheric performance. I wanted to him live when he came to the East coast a bit ago but couldn't make it. (However, my wife & I are going to see Jeff Lynne/ELO in Atlanta this October!!! We are so excited!😎) This is one of the finest live performances ever, & Paula Cole's vocals are just superstar! The entire production is top tier!
this is the start of the encore, on this tour. I saw it, but Paula Cole had to leave to do her own tour. So we got Sinead O'Conner as the female voice! Best concert ever!
Other way around, Sinead started tour and left, Paula Cole replaced her. What’s amazing is this performance recorded in Italy was literally only a few weeks after she joined, she had only got off the plane weeks before. If search TH-cam you can get the full story but she was incredible.
I love the way John just pissed all over the groups efforts to put on a brilliant show by comparing them to a children's show. How he formed a opinion instantly about their dancing, then how he was able to continuously roast them.... (Broaden ur taste/Give people a shot)
You’re gonna take this beautiful piece of work by probably one of the best artist in the world and make fun of the choreography like a couple of children? I will steer clear of any reactions by you two, shameful!
It's not some choreographed routine it's called living in the moment and not caring if you are hitting some impressive moves. You guys totally missed the whole point of it, sad.
A lil disrespectful, mix of African, Senegal, French , English , American. Much of the Dance is rooted in African Culture . I wouldnt laugh if you did one of your Vietnamese dances
What should we react to next from Peter Gabriel?
Lulu's Fantasy Show: linktr.ee/clueless_lulu
John X Lulu Wicked Fun: linktr.ee/johnxlulu
Solsbury Hlll is a good song to react to next.
Shaking the Tree from the same concert
mercy Street a tribute song
mercy Street - a tribute song to a poet

Only Peter can take his own Masterpiece and elevate it to a whole new level beyond it's original...
The "Secret World Tour" featuring Paula Cole was just amazing. The whole show is worth watching.

"In Your Eyes" is definitely one of the best songs of the 80s. The entire album "So" by Peter Gabriel is a masterpiece.
This is my all time favorite song. Glad you got to hear/see it live.
The whole point of this performance is the JOY that just drips off the whole thing. It may be rehearsed but it just looks like so much FUN!
The woman you hear singing is Paula Cole a few years before she became a successful artist with her own hits. Peter Gabriel is always a great live experience!
The choreography is based on traditional african dances. He has always been a supporter of world music
I saw him live in the 80s. One of the best shows ever.

Love your comment about looking into the "Eyes of a Child". Very unique! Great reaction guys. God Bless!!😊

peter-- a unique talent , who sounds as good in person as he does in the studio .

Pure Joy.
Peter Gabriel is wonderful even now (if he has another concert soon). His concert last year was fantastic and he is the opposite of 'sappy'.
the dancing maybe choreographed, but it stems from African influences which PG was "into" at the time
Saw Peter Live in Dallas, TX - October 2023 -----So great!!!
Smiech zabawa dobre samopoczucie to esencja swietnej piosenki to majstersztyk❤
He just toured last fall, his IO tour and it was magnificent. Saw him in Chicago and at 73 years old, he's still got it. Is new album is awesome
This video is almost like a religious experience. Men and women of all races singing and dancing
This concert is available on DVD but it. .. you won't regret it

@@RetroHondo67 awesome!
What a song! Say Anything is such a great movie.
Secret World Tour with Paula Cole is possibly the best show ever!

So a fan can't roast?
great reaction great song
Hi John & Lulu, Peter is now 74 but he made his mark on music and still is
Great reaction ❤😊
The one thing i did not see in the comments. Peter is working with a lot of members from Afro Celt.
Shaking the Tree from the same concert is really good as well.
It’s from the 80s movie Say Anything. John Cusack stands in front of his girlfriend’s home with a boombox held above his head.
3 2 1 BOOM
Peter Gabriel....Teletubbies????? What!?!?
Yeahhh ... i was the Mixtape Guy, ha! Danke so lieb und Bussi! LG
Lighter in the air, swaying!
😊lease react to "Shaking the Tree," from this same concert...it's spectacular..and a hint..the tree is in the Garden.
Love Peter Gabriel. Check out Solsbury Hill or Red Rain. You won’t be disappointed.
Stay tuned! We just checked out Solsbury Hill.
He wrote it for his daughter who died in a car crash with his wife , also check out i grieve
Female singer Paula Cole ,she’s amazing, seen her in her solo career
“We haven’t seen this yet but the stage production looks amazing”. Ok. Just admit you already saw it. It’s ok.
Make simple dance moves and a crowd of 10k people will follow you. Put expert dancers doing super sophisticated choregraphy and no one will move 😉
Robert Lepage. Check him out.
Come on. It's not about being great dancers. It's about simplicity and connecting with your fellow brothers and sisters.
You’re gonna take this beautiful piece of work by probably one of the best artist in the world and make fun of the choreography like a couple of children? I will steer clear of any reactions by you two, shameful!
Shame! Shame! Shame!
She is so much with the beat of this song.....him..not so much
Difficult to get it more wrong than “get real dancers”

I guess we took one too many sledgehammers to the head.
@@ReactToTheWorldno, you did a great job.
this was a well-choreographed show - not all spontaneous.
Yes, it is a choreographed routine. Seems... you missed it.
of course its choreographed. how can you not see that? SAD
@@natmanprime4295 its not.

its a cultural dance you just insulted. :)
