What is Kriya Yoga? Why Is It Different From Other Yoga?

- In 1984, during a television interview, the anchor of a channel in Orlando Florida introduces Baba Hariharanandaji as one of the more renowned Yogis from India - the country that is the seat of spiritual learning and has developed yoga practice to its finest. She asks him what Kriya Yoga is and how it is different from other Yoga. Watch the Divine Guru's love, enthusiasm, wisdom and simplicity and he answers. The video is sure to fill the hearts of all seekers with love for this spiritual giant who came to the west to fulfill the desire of his four Gurus that the true message of love spread all over the world.
I met this man once way back in the 1980s in San Jose CA where I lived at the time, and he changed my entire life. He was a very great, very evolved, and generous soul. A beautiful, bright white aura surrounded him and filled the entire space he occupied. All present felt this, blissful light. I normally don't see auras but I saw and felt his... Divine energy. A pure soul with a fully open heart is impossible to deny.

what do you mean by saw a white aura? can you give any analogy? like a fog?
@@chawlagrv Not fog... Light. I tried to explain. It's a conscious connection affecting the perception. I believe all people can experience it but usually don't. His energy was very subtle and charged with highly spiritual life energy. Now I have done my level best to try to explain an experience that to this day, I can't fully understand. I hope this helps.

Thanks for saying this... But I don't feel this... Instead I feel enslaved by my job which I don't like, depressed due to the comparisons I made and saddened due to the mistakes I keep doing in my life.... It's 4 26 AM and I am trying to do my work and haven't slept properly since so many days..

i can see west is accepting true sages from india and is ready to progress spiritually but we indians have forgotten our true cultural knowledge. i myself used to be a communist supporter and i used to mock gurus and insult them especially of hindu culture.
from the beginning of lockdown i started to study our culture after reading a book and i feel like i have committed a big bad karma. we indians never accept our spiritual richness. i want the west to take all our true yogis and gurus with them, they deserve it.

With respect, as a person who lived in India with Sadhus for years, I'd be surprised if Swamiji would call a much younger woman 'mother'. He'd be more likely to call her beti (daughter)i. I think it's a translation mistake in the subtitles.

This is the best explanation of kriya yoga I heard so far I was having a bit of trouble understanding the accent though.
The western mind may have difficulty but the teaching from the heart is easily understood and many maters like Jesus for example have been teaching from the heart. Namaste blessings much love🙏🌟❤️

@@shyamagokooloopadhya3583 kriya yoga doesn't work without deeksha from a realized master. so contact them and learn it. deeksha is the transfer of energy and when you get an opportunity to learn kriya learn it.

@@youronlinefriend233 i wouldn't recommend it but if you have no other options do it. different kriya yoga lineage has slight differences in the kriya, so make sure to find a kriya lineage similar to what you have learned.

This is such a beautiful, simple and practical explanation of such powerful techniques. I must learn this soon. I see the date of this interview was 1984. I was 13 years old. I wish I had seen this interview back then. I wonder how different I would feel about myself and the world around me if I had been introduced to Kriya so young.

This is greatly needed all over the world right now. I have spiritually woken and would like to master Kriya and introduce this to the west wall over.
But it didnt explain what is the difference between kriya yoga and any other type of yova
@@rotgutthebloated4730 all yoga is meant to move kundalini up the spine and awaken the chakras one by one until it unites with consciousness in the upermost chakra. Kriya yoga is a direct and scientific method for doing so. Other yogas are meant to do so as well but in their own unique way.
