I have a Land Cruiser. 87' 6 Cylinder Diesel.. My old man's. Shot the antenna off the hood with a 30-06 when i was kid and didn't know how scopes worked.
We had a family friend who was grouse hunting with his Toyota Tacoma and did the same thing, except the bullet left a long scar in the hood of his truck
Of all my pistols, I think my Walther PPQ Q4 Steel Frame is my favorite. The quality is apparent as soon as you pick it up, great trigger, great controls and ergonomics.
You should review the Canik TP9 Elite Combat, then the Canik Rival Dark side. Those 2 striker fired pistols have som e damn good triggers. Nice crisp break and a super short reset.
How is it to conceal? Seems like it would be really bulky and awkward to conceal. No dealers around me have them in stock so I’ve not been able to put my hands on one.
@whilomforge3402 I use appendix carry from Tier 1 Concealed, Axis Elite Holster. Great Holster and I have no printing issues. Also, it's one reason I bought the 4.5" barrel instead of the 5" barrel. It works well for me.
I love the content and interactions of the Crew. Always good for a few laughs. The thing that sticks in my mind is in a defensive encounter you may not get a two-hand hold with a perfect presentation and pretty sight picture. I think we need more training on strong and weak hand manipulations. Getting off the X and instinctive gun handling. I understand that instructions are geared for the least common denominator and advanced classes build on the basics. Most stuff is for newer shooters but there is always something to learn. I have the PDP Compact and the PDP Pro Compact - absolutely the best guns I have owned; looking to get the PDP -F. Chadd, you crack me up with your comments on the PDP.
CZ guy here. I own 3 CZ's and the PDP Pro. That Walther is a f*cking tack driver. The trigger is unbelievable. It kicks but it returns to zero phenomenally.
@@emidrummer1990 I do. I did install an Overwatch Precision TAC trigger in the P10c last week and it cleaned up the trigger a bit. It's as close as ever. I plan on taking them both to the range next week.

Every Canik is great. I have 2 (Elite SC with Shield RMS-X and TP9SFX with Vortex Viper) and they have the best striker fired triggers out of any other pistol I own, and are hands down the most accurate also. I love Caniks

Quality is very similar, depending on where you are looking at, and Canik is innovating faster than Walther at this point. I don't own the PDP SF yet, will pick one up to go along with my Rival-S.
I bought a Walther PPQ a few years ago because the factory trigger was amazing right out of the box. it is my go to gun should I need one. It is very accurate, very reliable, and I shoot it very well. Give Walther a look if you're in the market for a striker fire.
You need to install the ZR Tactical Solutions long stroke guide rod and aluminum base pads for the mags. Both things make a world of difference. Specially the long stroke guide rod. Thank you for your service and for the video.
I'm sure it does make a difference, but at $1800-$2000, should you have to spend extra money on making it better if it's supposed to be a competition gun?
I put a ZR Tactical 15 lb guide rod and spring kit in my PDP compact polymer frame. It tamed the snappy recoil impulse from the factory 17/18 pound rod and spring. I swapped the factory curved trigger for a Overwatch Precsion flat trigger as well and love the set up now. The Walther flat tigger was forever out of stock so I gave up and went another route.

Nice shooting! Walther is awesome. Historical they never had a very strong presence in this country. Their quality and innovation are tops. Many firearms manufacturers have imitated Walther designs over the years. I have been shooting and collecting Walther's for many years. They're definitely one of my favorites.

Now I'm worried about my lack of training shooting zombies while sitting on a tailgate. Off to the range. (I have just an old pickup, so I lack the tactical shade device.)
When I went to re-qualified for my conceal carry licence, I didn't take one of my own firearms. I used the instructors Walther PDP Pro and shot 25 out of 25 targets, awesome firearm and thought about buying one for a while now.
I have the PPQ Q5 match polymer and have no trouble with my offhand thumb. The only trouble is the high bore causing muzzle flip on the lightweight polymer. If you limp wrist it, there can be cycling issues. I absolutely love the trigger though.
I will say I love Glocks that’s what I’m gone carry but as far as triggers walther got that figured out even a 500$ pdp has pretty dam good trigger breaks at 4ish lb perfect reset,love you man your what the word badass means 💪

One time when I was just a wee one. I had a baby t-rex chase me while I was riding my tricycle. I had to lay my trusty stead down and draw and fire while on my back with my legs tangled in the spokes. :)
I don't have the steel frame PDP but I have the 4" and 5" polymers, PDP is the first pistol I've had in a really long time that noticeably made me feel closer to a minimally competent shooter out of the box. I'm not really great at anything in life but I do like the PDPs quite a bit and I shoot those better than my way more expensive pistols. I got my first Glock 17 in college when Nirvana was pretty fresh and I still think the Glock 17 is a way better gun than I am a marksman. I remember shooting the Glock for the first time and I shot it way better than what I had before that, PDP was a bit like that when I took it out the first time.
It is my favorite striker fired pistol. I bought the full sized PDP pro and then bought the shorter slide as well. On the shorter slide, I added the PMM comp and it shoots lights out.

Pro compact has a performance trigger and more capacity. I have smaller hands so the regular compact fits me better.

Love my PDP!!!! Thousands of rounds, no failure yet, trigger is outstanding. Accuracy is as good as the shooter.

I’ve heard nothing but good reviews about the Walther PDP polymer pistol.
Try the Canik SFX Rival steel frame or polymer it’s just as good as shooter and the trigger is top notch.

Canik stole the trigger and the slide release from Walther. I have a Canik TP9 ELITE COMBAT with threaded barrel, and I love it.

Walther is very underrated here. The ppq m2 was one of the best guns on the market. Eats any ammo you put in it and seems like you can't miss with it.

I wish you would review the Performance Center S&W shield plus 4" barrel. The trigger on that gun is outstanding and it will eat any ammo

I carried a Glock for 19 years on duty and switched to a FN 509 MRD-LE.. I think it’s one of the best guns out there. I’d like y’all to test that!

Best about having that truck is when the engine blows you just head down to Ace Hardware for a replacement lawn mower engine.
I was sitting on my tailgate one day when a rabid T Rex came charging. Luckily, I had my EDC Bazooka. Luck favors the prepared.

Nighthawk instruction sheet says to use your slide stop to chamber on a 1911, not to pull back to rack.

It is my favorite striker fired pistol. I bought the full sized PDP pro and then bought the shorter slide as well. On the shorter slide, I added the PMM comp and it shoots lights out.
