    For the budget conscious;
    Just bought a Larue MBT-2S for $115 to the door. For the price, it's hard to beat. At any price, its as good as my Knight's two stage. The SSA-E is slightly lighter and shorter. But I put the heavier spring in the Larue anyways to try it out. And I kind of like it for a general purpose carbine. First stage is more deliberate, break feels the same, pushier reset. But i bought it for a 20" fluted stainless build, so I'll probably run the light spring.

    I would have to agree with Chadd on this topic the trigger is always my first upgrade and I will spend as much as needed to get the very best trigger available , I just put a ALG trigger in my ZPAP/ M-70 and it is now a completely different rifle a complete novice 15 year old Girl accompanied myself and Granddaughter to the range last week and after all the safety lectures , I gave her a minute to watch my granddaughter warm up the rifle and just get familiar with the function of a AKM and once she found out that she was left eye dominant , I gave the run down on operation of the rifle and she shot outstanding for a complete newbie after realizing that she was crowding the scope and deciding how to hold the rifle with the support hand that fit her best she was grouping very well , the trigger made a huge difference as the break is so clean , I wouldn't let her touch the trigger until fully sighted on target , coached her breathing and said slide the trigger finger in and slowly squeeze on exhale , it was very rewarding to watch a Day One Novice smile at her target when finished !

    Chad, right-on brother! I have modified and improved the triggers on every firearm I own (except for my expensive Italian over/under sporting shotgun). You are 100% correct in your analysis of the reason for inaccuracy. The hand is a complicated piece of machinery with some fairly strong muscles involved. When shooting a rifle from a rest, bipod or barricade I have learned to remove my powerful thumb from the opposite side of the grip and place it on the top of the stock or next to the trigger finger to eliminate the tendency to tighten grip. Works every time.

    • @apersonontheinternet8006
      @apersonontheinternet8006 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Most people hold their rifles and hand guns wrong, crappy triggers still shoot straight. Your shooting hand should be doing about 20% of the work holding your firearm, your support hand should be doing the bulk of supporting the firearm. That full engagement of your shooting hand actually hinders the actuation of the trigger finger.

      Iyov 36:5 - Orthodox Jewish Bible (OJB)
      See, El is Kabir, and despiseth, not any; He is Kabir in ko’ach lev (strength of understanding).
      Translation: Supreme God is Kabir, but despises no one. He is Kabir, and firm in his purpose.
      In all Bible translations, the word Kabir has been translated as "Mighty" or "Great" whereas Kabir is the original name of Supreme God.
      Conclusion: This verse of the Bible proves that Kabir is Complete God. The one who worships God Kabir by taking initiation from the complete saint sent by him gets complete salvation. After attaining salvation that souls rest in peace in the eternal abode Satlok forever. The throne of God is in Satlok( ETERNAL PLACE) 😊😊
      God Kabir met Jesus and took his soul to Satlok. On their way, God Kabir made him see his ancestors David, Moses, Abraham, etc. in the Pitra Lokas. Then God took him to Satlok❤

    I have been shooting since age 7 and now I’m 60. When I joined the USMC in 1984 we didn’t have anything but iron sights which was fine with me. 5th award rifle expert, 5 award pistol expert for the 5 years I was in. I may be a little heavier than I was in “The Suck” but I can still pick up a weapon and be on target at 500 meters, with iron sights. BRASS breath, relax, aim, sight and squeeze the trigger. This has worked for me for the past 50 plus years. ACOGS are great until they fail. Always have a back up set of sights you can use if you have to.

For people that care about hypertrophy over pure strength gains, L citrulline can be beneficial for increasing blood flow and making "the pump" more intense. Over the last 18 months I’ve taken just under 100 lbs off, and am working on taking off another 25 lbs. I am wanting to be at a cool comfortable 180.
    The upcoming struggle is going to be hard on everyone, and the last thing I want to be struggling with while struggling to survive this BS is fat.

    I always make sure to like the stuff I touch; charging handle, stock, pistol grip, and trigger.
    I go for an ambi charging handle, a comfortable and more ergonomic stock, a smaller angle on the pistol grip (15 or 17 degree), and a lighter trigger, usually with a flat face. I also use an anti-walk pin kit with my new triggers.

    I wish I had this video about 30 years ago. I had just graduated basic training where I had qualified expert with my M-16. My basic training rifle had a great trigger. But when I got to my unit, I was assigned a rifle with a completely different trigger. It required a lot more pressure. I ended up barely qualifying. When I asked about the trigger, I got a lecture on being able to adapt.'

    The first improvement was a trigger. I installed a CMC trigger. Then, the fore end hand guard, charging handle extension, ambidextrous safety selector, tactical scope, atlas bipod, I started with a 20” 1-7 twist heavy match grade barrel. The final as edition was a stock.

    I always dry fire and rack the firearm to break in the trigger, then clean up wearing surfaces, a safe polish job that doesn’t mess with sear engagement, then shoot a lot, and then modify or replace trigger components. Most of this can be done without firing any rounds, because I know many of us are on a budget. AR15 milspec triggers can have the sear surfaces mated and pull with less pounds if you remove the lower, pull up on the hammer with a piece of paracord while engaging the trigger and pulling the trigger under the tension , only takes a few times . There’s also a grip retaining screw for the AR that has a trigger stop and helps with shorter reset, and cheap springs to lower the weight.

    100% agree with replacing the trigger on your firearms. Each of my AR's have either a Geissele SSA, SSA-X, or LaRue MBT-2S trigger in them. Glocks are using Zev triggers, Sig M17/P320 has a GrayGuns trigger. It's pretty amazing how much a simple trigger swap can change the way the firearm feels..

    Nothing but geissele ssa & ssae for me. I was always very stubborn when it came to milspec, included triggers. I was of the mindset that the included trigger was MORE than enough serviceable for the given platform..... Anyway, our fish and game had a huge gun raffle with tons of cool prizes. I ended up winning both a shield plus and a geissele SSA 2 stage trigger.... Figured what the hell, I'll throw the trigger in my cheapest AR and giver her a whirl. In just 3 shots at the range I was immediately hooked. I couldn't believe the difference made with just a simple trigger swap. Having a functional wall for more accurate shots gave immediate, positive results. On black Friday geissele had a half off sale so I picked up 2 ssa, 2 ssae and 1 straight bow single stage trigger that I still haven't installed in anything yet.

    I guess I never thought of triggers as a first upgrade because my guns have come with pretty nice triggers from the factory already. For my pistol, the first thing I upgraded was the grips. After that came the light, then the cool guy stuff like the optic cut slide and the dot. For my rifle, it came with a nice 2 stage trigger that breaks at ~4 lbs and resets quickly. All the visible upgrades for it have been bolt-ons. Optics, light, bipod the usual stuff. The biggest invisible upgrades for it have been stuff to increase reliability. Flat wire buffer spring, H2 buffer, Sons of Liberty BCG, and a handful of spare parts for common wear items like gas rings, springs, retainer pins, etc.

    Trigger feel.
    I like my custom $70 triggers using JP springs. A cheap $50-60 trigger group and JP springs for another $11 or so. Single -stage, and lots of polishing with a dremel tool (polish to a chrome-like surface on mating parts. No lube required). 3.5 lb pull and smooth AF. Short reset. I love the honesty of a single-stage trigger. Or I can spend $200 on a trigger that I don't like as much.

    Agreed! I am fond of Geissele and Rise Armament Triggers. I would say the next most important things to upgrade are the BCG (I run LANTAC E-BCG's) and if you are doing a Build be sure to pick a good quality Barrel.

    Having been a custom gunsmith for 50 years, I can tell you my personal favorite is a rock river 2 stage varmint fine tuned by me. In the 1911 I use various hammers, triggers and EGW sears and disconnectors. I like 2 stage triggers in the AR because they are so much like the 1911. You are right about the importance of the trigger, however I think it takes a backseat to functional reliability. which isn't really something you can count on out of the box these days.
