Gorgeous turning, wood choice, music and videography! Your videos are my favorite online! Your craftsmanship is beyond compare! Thank you for all that you are willing to show and for all the work you put into editing your videos! You are the best!!!!
Oh my gosh! Those are so darn cool!! I love the wood you chose for these coffee grinders! They are amazing! Absolutely stunning work! You truly give 110% of your hard working soul to complete your projects! Kudos to you! Bravo!!
Once again you pulled a rabbit outta the hat. A very cool rabbit. Simply mesmerizing I watch late at night and your music and the turning is so relaxing and peaceful. I’m very glad your videos popped up on my feed!! Thank you for such great content. I’ve been binge watching them all.
Thanks so much, Andy! This was a rough project to get through and quite the learning experience. I think with more thought put in, I could have realized a was doing things the hard way... but the fun is in the learning! Cheers, my friend!
You were right! Not what I expected. you actually got a real laugh from me from surprise. Job well done in spite of the mishaps you had along the way. Brilliant work!
So glad you finished it and didn't throw it away. Lovely wood. I don't care what it's used for its just so neat to be able to watch your talent develop a chunk of wood into artistry. Love the music and I always look forward to see which animal you feature. Your collie is beautiful.
Very Nice! Isn't nice to create something, have problems, etc., and then win! You did it all. We all have problems, but those that complete the project are, in my opinion, the WINNERS! You are a winner in my book. Keep turning and have fun.
This was way cool. Thanks for showing the oops. This helps me I have tossed to many projects in the fireplace pile. You have inspired me to pull them out and explore. Great piece of workmanship.
I finally get a chance to relax, ( kitchen cleaned up after the turkey dinner) and I find you once again in your creativity mode. Can we say stupendous? So much talent! Can’t say it enough!!!
Omg, what a nightmare! Tool failures, careless mistakes, then material failures... I'm not sure what impresses me more, the finished product or the fact that you finished it. Major kudos, sir. Also, easily the coolest woodturning project I've seen yet.
Once again you had me captivated as to the final object and what it was going to be! Wonderful! Love your beautiful Collie, we lost our Lady girl Collie last summer! Miss her terribly! All the best from MT
So I’m sittin’ here with my 24 ounce cup of coffee thinkin’, “where is he goin’ with this.” WOW!! What a surprise!! Thanks for the inspiration and lesson about hackberry!
There is no way I could have correctly guessed what you were making. It turned out so awesome! I only recently came across your channel, and you are now my favorite woodworker. Your projects/pieces are unique and never boring to watch. The gorgeous wood species you use have inspired me to buy some that I will be able to carve with hand tools! (I'm very much an amateur, but my youngest son always loves the silly little things I make for him, so that's something 😊) Thanks for sharing your craft with us all!
YOUR TENACITY IS COMMENDABLE, AND IT MORE THAN PAID OFF IN THE END RESULT!!! ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS WOOD AND WORK!!! THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR TIME AND TALENT WITH US!!! TAKE CARE DAVID!!!
Geweldig David, je maakt het spannend tot het einde toe. Ook de complimenten voor wie filmt want ook dat is kunstig gedaan. Ik heb opnieuw genoten van je video. Dankjewel. 👏
I love this! It’s beautiful as always, but the way we can “see” inside as it turns and you work is the coolest thing! (Maybe I’m just easily entertained but I loved seeing this process.). Thank you for this video.
This is by far the best turning video that ive seen hands down! I was thinking maybe a lamp. But no you went full on bad ass with the coffee grinder. Unbelievable, beautiful. Great work.
This was absolutely beautiful. Truly! I started watching your videos tonight with a miserable headache. The peace and just overall beauty has made me feel so much better. You've definitely got a fan in Lafayette, LA! Keep up what you're doing!
Great recovery and amazing perseverance there; that was definitely a challenging turning! I know I'd have given up after the 2nd catch. Amazing piece as always, David.
Extremely brave of you, more so being that your videos are out there for anyone and everyone to see and be critical over them. You get my upmost respect for showing the good the bad and the ugly of what can and does happen.
Thanks so much I appreciate it. I try not to hide the fact that I make mistakes. They are almost more important for success and learning than success is.
hello David how are you? Every day we watch videos on TH-cam. Always look for your videos and when you don't find new videos, watch or have already watched. For me it's always a learning experience. I'm starting and it's very good to take a rough wood and transform it into an art worked on the lathe. Thanks for your videos.
Neat idea! I see so many people turning out fantastic pieces of art.I can only hope my work will one day be as good as yours. Thanks for the great idea!
I have to admit that I thought about a commercial about your glue at the half of the Video! :D great job man, but we all know how hard it can be to continue. Today I also saved a bowl, I nearly destroyed last year. Keep turning and best regards from bavaria!
very nice. It is nice to see you make mistakes like the rest of us. Nothing is perfect except the finished product. You did very good. thanks for the video.
Such an innovative design! I thought it was possibly a bladeless fan but you fooled me with the grinder. It is absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for sharing your craft.
Thanks Cheri! Yeah it really was 😅 a long process... and it got to the point where fixing a flying object was just another day at the races lol. Glad to be done with it finally. Cheers!
Magic absolutely magic, it is mesmerising to watch how the work has been done. The final product is amazing. Congratulations on this masterpiece, and best wishes from Germany.
Boy if that isn't the definition of woodturning , i don't know what is. White knuckle turning right there. Beautiful grinder.I spent the entire video trying to figure out what you were making.. Stunning as always.
In the video you posted 2/14/20, you made the comment that you couldn't believe your channel had surpassed 10,000 subscribers. Have you not watched your own videos? This one would have been all the reason I'd need to subscribe ( if I wasn't already!) A couple of brilliant saves and the surprise ending (I hadn't read the notes first in the description.) almost made me shoot coffee out my nose. Fantastic work. PLUS the fact that you have the guts to show your mistakes and how you fixed them. Gold. Pure frigging gold.
That was a fantastic job of turning David. And it finished beautifully. Great recovery on the hiccup. That is a skill in itself and can't get any better than you did. Stunning grain and turning. Gary
It just goes to show that some projects don't always go well and some times a design change or a heap of super glue saves the day. This video clearly shows the degree of difficulty in making a project like this well done matey I had no clue what it was going to be until the end.
Very cool project. All while watching I was trying to think what you were making. Ideas of a planter to a lamp base ran through my head. Never once did I imagine the finished product. Very nice indeed.
I'm sorry, David, but couldn't help laughing at so many failures, your editing always make everything so more funny. I thought it would be a lamp, didn't see that coming. A beautiful work as always
Turning on two axis. Plus the quality of the video and music!!! Genius!!
Gorgeous turning, wood choice, music and videography! Your videos are my favorite online! Your craftsmanship is beyond compare! Thank you for all that you are willing to show and for all the work you put into editing your videos! You are the best!!!!
