All I know is that you sing a mean Ann Wilson!! Especially "that part" when Ann belts! Loved you in all of that Ken videos! The proof really is in the singing.
Not that you know me from Adam (old English expression), but I do have considerable professional music/video production experience, which includes playing music in bands, and in the studio beginning right out of high school. Even though decades distant from one another in age, I would consider anything you have to say on the subjects of singing, rock singers, and rock music very worthy of consideration. Talk about anything you wish!
To anyone considering getting the Ken Tamplin course:
First understand it will take TIME and PRACTICE. Specially if you are not a singer. You'll start with a few short routines, in order to test the waters, learn the basics, see how you do. Eventually as you embed good habits as instructed, you'll be doing longer faster exercises, for a little more time each time (about 15-20 minutes each day). In this point you'll see results a few weeks in, no doubt. Then, as you progress, you'll find yourself doing about 30-40 minutes of more complete routines, daily. If you make it to this point, it means that you really want to achieve excellence, you have seen the dramatic result this is having on your voice, and you're willing to see how far can you go. You will spend weeks, months commiting about an hour or so DAILY to the increasingly advanced routines. After a while, with some feedback from the forum's good moderators and singers there (you may upload videos or audio to get feedback), you'll find yourself way ahead of the road and you won't believe the progress your voice has made since day 1. Good healthy habits have been embeded in your technique (to preserve your voice for years to come), pitch gets increasingly accurate, range grows to unbelievable heights and your understanding of the voice will amaze you. All these come with commitment. This is designed to be worked on a daily basis. Sure you may have some days off, even weeks off, hit some plateaus, it's up to you, but the real benefit lies in eventually commiting to a daily routine as designed. Now, if you're the type of person who procastinates, then save your $$ and look somewhere else, you're not getting far with this or any course anyways, really. This course will give you as much as you put into it and more. There's plenty of material inside to keep you busy for years to come. If you, specially if you're are not a singer, do the course as suggested, in about some months or maybe a year or so, your jaw will drop when you see what this outta-this-world course does to your voice. It's really THAT good.
I couldn't sing anything, not even the happy birthday. I really sucked, and had no idea. I prefered to have my mouth shut everytime there was something relative to singing around me. Now, I'm a year in, doing 1+ hour daily of the course routines (almost 2 hours now that I've added Vol 4 & 5 to the routine, which are the 'Head voice' and 'Mixed voice' speciality volumes). Boy, I can hit notes I could barely dream of, I can bridge between chest and head seamlessly with no noticeable difference, and my voice now has a 'personality', tone and strenght of its own, a cool 'raspy' tone that is found on any seasoned pro singer (think Chris Cornell singing a soft ballad), like a woodsy bright rasp that hits the pitch spot on, effortlessly, on its own; and that thing just grows and grows with time. I'm like Wow. I 'watched' my voice grow like a plant since week #1, getting stronger every week, every month. Like Ken says, it's a muscle group that develops over time with the right technique. Just like working out some weights at the gym and watchiing the results after a year or so of daily routines, the same is true with the voice. There are no "30 day" become a great singer solutions, as there are no "30 day" grow your muscles Schwarzenegger's size courses. It's all about the discipline. This is my true testimony. Fotunately I'm the kind of guy that commits and persists to get results. And fortunately this course gives increasingly good results since the first weeks, which definitely keeps the motivation up and makes you want more. So there you go, this is the blunt truth. Think of this, see if it's for you, and then take the shot.
I completely agree! I have used the course for about 2 years and I have made similar progress and its so addicting because you get better and you want more ahah. I still hit plateus where i get sad and wanting to quit. But im still doing it and working hard for it!

I watch a lot of videos from Ken's academy, it's remarkable how he leads people to be better singers, I think it's really cool that you dedicate this video to him, we can really notice that he's special, he has the soul and the vibration that an instructor needs to take the best of each person who passes by the academy, I never listened you singing, I will try to see the old video and actual video to see the difference. I just started a new job, and in addition to that, my band just signed a deal with a big record company. And what you say were your fears, are my fears right now. So having my own paycheck, I know I want to invest in myself somehow, I just didn't know how... But then this video popped up and, I just want to say thank you. Your effort and talent is unmistakable. Do not underestimate the power of the female voice. Ann Wilson and Pat Benatar can make most male vocalists envious and weak in the knees. Their power and range were awe inspiring. You are closing in on them. Keep it up. God bless. (By the way, you come across in video as a genuine and interesting "web personality." I found Ken because of our great russian extreme vocal teacher, who talked about him sometimes, and after Ken i found you. And i don't wanna look like some crazy fan, but you look like true rock goddess for me now. Extremely perfect and criminally underrated. So i watched many videos with you and found this channel but it was dead and it was little sad to not knowing what's going on with your career and life.
The "man in the box" cover is my favourite one ("love hurts" after this)! Just blasting my ears everytime, very powerfull raspy chorus, damn. Good musical tastes, btw.

I have been a fan of yours since seeing your cover version of Love Hurts (One of my all time favourite songs) with Meryland sometime around 2011. I'll repeat what many people have said, that your english is better than many english speaking people. Even though Love Hurts was a great version to do, your singing has improved 100 times over, most likely due to you finding the right coach in Ken Tamblin. You seem to be very wise, and you are correct in saying that nothing worthwhile comes quickly or overnight, you have to continue to work at being the best and learning along the way to be even better. Thanks for the video , it was great to learn some more background about how you got started, before being on Superstar and Eurovision.
Hope to see another video soon, maybe talking about what you have been up to in recent months and what's next for Gabby.

Gabriela you are an amazing woman and I love all the songs that you performed with Ken, please keep making videos like this I can watch them all day long. I would love to see you get some original songs and maybe you and Ken can hook back up and record them, you should be so famous right now because you're a thousand times better then the crap that we have to put up with on the radio. as someone who sang in bands on the weekend, i took a few lessons from a vocal coach and what a difference it made, like she says, there is no simple quick fix, you need to work at it to develop what you have.

Hey Gabriela, you have such amazing raw talent, and I’m so proud of you for learning English to further your career. What I noticed when watching you sing on Kens channel was the drive and passion you show. Plus love how you look like your having the time of your life, and Ken looks at you with pride! Your just entertaining to watch sing and your range is amazing, love seeing strong ladies just rock we need more of this!

Your comments are accurate to life in general. It is so valuable to have great mentors in our lives and to never stop learning. I have loved watching Ken's videos and have assumed that the things you confirmed in your video were true. I recently learned that one of the most important keys to learning is to have a mentor and to be a mentor. You were teachable and humble in your pursuit of growth and found an awesome mentor. I wholeheartedly agree. First of all, Gabriela is absolutely amazing--her renditions of Coverdale and Dio, and everything else blow me away--but nothing happens without extra effort--and, yes, English is my main language, but also my third after another Slavic language and Italian :). Second, mentors are key to success, but for that to work students need to be able to pick up the right mentor and then stick with them. Many bright PhD students fail because they end up thorn in between too many mentors, too many approaches. I had my kids watch Gabriela's talk--not the kind of thing kids normally pay attention to when spoken by the parents :) Rock On!
You are a blessing Gabriela! I purchased the course 2 years ago and it stressed my voice out too much, but my voice has continued to improve just by following the basic recommendations. I have been planning ever since to get back into it and you have helped me to decide to.

I don’t know anything about singing... but listening to Ken I realised it truly is an amazing artistic ability that can actually be learned well if you have a good teacher... and secondly I’ve been amazingly well entertained on his site listening to him show how it’s done ... and I have to say I’ve always been a metal fan and Gabriel is probably the best female rock singer in the world? ...Could front any band I reckon ! 🤘
