I change Front and rear Brake Pads and Rotors, sensors but warning messages not stop. I make Star Diagnosis and all is OK, but message on my cluster not stop. I change sensors 3 times and not resolve my problem.
My 2008 CLK 350 had semi-metallic pads, but I replaced them with ceramic pads. I don't know if this is the cause but my wear light is on. I also replaced the sensor, but it didn't help. Do I need to use semi-metallic pads?
Thanks Keith, I just replaced all brake pads and all wheel sensors but still warning shows. I noticed from harness for the sensor had broken and both wires touching, I separately taped them well now but warning still on, do I need to change the new sensors again? Thinking they might have been short circuited from the harness touching.. or what do you recommend? Thanks ML2008 CDI 320
Hi Keith, I changed my rear brakes and when I go back into the car to press ok after putting my W205 in 'Brake Fitting Position' I get this error message. Pad Replacement: Parking Brake Inoperative. What should I do. Redo the job?
Where is the link to the I car soft video to check which sensor... you gave me links to parts I don't need and for donations... I need to figure out what sensor is wonkly
Hi Keith, can you please explain if there is a way to test a battery sensor that is attached to the negative post on the battery? Also, is it normal for newer cars to have lower charging voltage around 12.5V? Thanks
great questions! The lower charging is courtesy of the alternator output voltage being controlled by the PCM. The main battery has a sensor pack attached to the LIN Bus that the PCM read to evaluate: batt voltage, batt current, batt temperature. As far as I understand, the Bosch design goal is to always keep the battery undercharged to around 80% so the PCM can load the serpentine belt for opportunistic charge while braking. The theory is always nicer than the reality! Practically when the CAN Gateway module is acting up the engine PCM has a hard time reading the LIN module connected to one of the 2 SAM Modules and misjudge the battery status and conservatively goes low-charge or even discharge with the alternator (such as 90Amps out under 11.9V: ouch!). If you sometimes float charge your AGM while car is garaged... The goal is the PCM must be aware of the battery charge level to want to charge it. So use the ECO (Engine Cut Off) function to allow controlled discharge under PCM watch. Instrument cluster can display BATT current & voltage under maintenance menu options (must enable menu every time before starting). Then you can see voltage swings all the way to 14.9V when PCM feels like it. My take is the PCM software prematurely kills $$$ AGM's 👍
@@glasser2819 Thank you very much for the info, seems like you do know a lot about electrical system. Do you know how to enable BATT current & voltage display on 2010 glk350? I cannot find any info how to do that.
I'm having an issue with my rear brake on my 2012 ML350. The parking brake light came on while my wife was driving. I've since had the truck towed and park. I replaced the rear actuator and that still does not fix my issue. Also I only hear the passenger rear engage and unlock once. I still have the brake light on. When I try use the steering wheel buttons to retracted the rear brakes. I get an error message saying conditions not met.

I hope you are fine the last video I saw you were sick. God Bless.you are well.
I have this problem on my Mercedes Benz B200. Thanks for identifying it.
Great advice! Thanks so much. Would a bad sensor also trip off the ebrake and low brake pad warning lights?
Thanks Keith, great info. This is what happened to my boyfriends car. Brakes were changed, but sensor wasn't put on. Again thanks.
Keith. Can you do a video on problems with the emergency brake engaging while driving?

Shouldn't have to change the new wear sensors again. Those wires may be shorted or grounded somewhere further up the line.

I bought the icar diagnostic Box he recommended, can not find anywhere where it sees the code for which tire has a problem break wear sensor.
Thank you. This is great information. I just replaced the brakes, brake pads and sensors on my 1981 Mercedes 240d and the light keeps flickering.
Thank you Keith! That solved my confusion once for all!
The sensor looks the same except mine has a small round pin on one end that goes into the pad itself. Is that the same one that you put in? Ty
The one with the pin goes into the rear right side .
how can you know if your wear indecation on dash is due to emergancy brake or if its your regular pads
Very hopeful information 👏👏👏
Crank no- start E350/4matic /07/ do you have any videos u can post
Hi Keith. Always consistent with the information and knowledge transfer. Thx for your assistance.
Thanks 👍
Thanks for the info
Keith my pads are low and sensors never triggered warning light how can i check this i will be redoing brake will be redone this weekend
Hi Keith! Couldn’t find your video using icar software to find which sensor it is. Can you paste link for us please. Thanks!
GREAT INFO KEITH ..MERCEDES ARE SENSITIVE CARS ..THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR KNOWLEDGE
Good clear and concise info. Thanks. I had no clue.
Is there a book that shows the car in exploded view for ml350

are the emergancy pads on both front and back of a 2007 clk 350?

Do I have to remove the pads in order to replace the sensors….
It’s usually because the pads are worn.

Why there's no standard ohms check value for harnessthis way can find the bad sensor harness side

What scanner tool do you use to check the individual sensors?
Icarsoft
@@iRepairAutos I have icarsoft, which sensor is 909F?
I changed both of the sensors it went away the sign
I really hate sensors this one has to be the dumbest
This use is funny as shit lol

Stop buying Mercedes ! Have a E500. Changed brake pads and speed sensors. BAS ABS ESP AND BRAKE MALFUNCTIONS Are still on car. Junk!
SImilair problems can happen on bmw or audi too.
Thanks
I changed my brake pads 6/7 months ago. Why would I JUST NOW SEE A SENSOR WARNING LIGHT?
Waste of time
Thank you for this
