- Remember CJ? He once was on top of the entire world with a #1 SMASH hit called "Whoopty". However, these days, his career is completely dead. He has literally switched genres, and his google trends/social blade graphs are on a never ending downward spiral. How does this happen? How can someone be so lit one year and completely gone the next? Well, sit back, grab a nice can of coca cola or whatever beverage you prefer, and watch as I demonstrate what being a fake gangster can do to your rap career.
Also I wanna thank Trap Lore Ross once again for his research, I used a lot of it on the part where I dissected the Baller Brims. His video "The Shocking Truth Behind WHOOPTY/ CJ's Gang Affiliations" was a huge help. Here's the video: • The Shocking Truth Beh...

Gangsta Rap is the only genre where you have to be a real gangster to get accepted but when you crash out for being a real gangster people call you stupid 😂
Because you gotta be a fake gangster telling yo homies stories who so happen to be the real gangsters lol
If u a real gangster u going to jail if u a fake gangster u going to fail...
Well the music that people call legendary came from people who struggled in the hood to make it out.
Now people are faking the funk, that is the problem

Most artists in hip-hop have a family member who worked with or currently works with artists or a record label etc. Very rarely does someone break into the industry without help. Authenticity sells too and that's why Gucci gets so much respect and its literally a living Hood Legend cuz he wasnt just rapping it he was living it and if he had killed an innocent person he'd probably still have a following but the fact it was an enemy is much more appealing and along with his time behind bars he quite literally is the perfect example for anyone trying to be a hood legend, i guarantee u Pooh Shiesty aint exactly hating his time behind bars cuz he knows when he gets out he still gon have plenty of hood cred to make up for the freedom he lost temporarily, Pac spoke on that too back in 95... Indeed!🙄😂👍
Welcome to the culture of ignorance
Because it’s not real rap. You’re not in tune lmao go home
Coasting off another person's lifestyle for fame is the thing here.
Gangster rap while alot of warstorying an negative image try to send a positive message to avoid the life an tell truth of the lifestyle.
I heard one rapper say it's consistent because that's what the audience wants and what sells,so the negative music will always be what's in demand.
People need to wake up an quit chasing a fake sense of tough or being real.😂
@@FknClownShoes I’d say a good 90% of rappers aren’t actually hard. 50 cent is hard. He does what he says. Most rappers aren’t actually doing the shit they say they do.
You just said it yourself. Rapping about that stuff is what sells. So rap about, but don’t actually do it. Best of both worlds. A huge demographic for rap is white guys from ages 11-19. I don’t think rappers need their approval on whether they’re actually in gangs or not. What kind of millionaire rapper needs to be in a gang anyways? Gang shit is pathetic
The pick at 15:49 is killing me
*pic
this shows that ppl pick and choose who they’ll drag for certain things but don’t care about other people doing the same thing
Exactly true
As an independent artist, I can assure you that none of these "rappers" actually started from the bottom. They connected. That's why most of them can't even rap but somehow, they "hot." 😂Might as well be an album of instrumentals.
"Modern rappers."
I can assure you alot of past rappers started from the bottom and worked there talent an skill to get to the top, that's why they' still hold relevance an inspiration and songs are still sampled an stolen.
Connections is subjective,an can be obtained by associating an earning threw respect.
Modern rappers is more whom you're talking about, mommy an daddy was famous at one point an have money an now they wannabe a rapper an from the streets like Ti's duck lipped son or benzinos daughter or the munch girl.
Trust me it's not the lyrics that make a hit now day's its the beat or hook.
Exactly what im sayin
@@FknClownShoes yea man, its stupid
That’s something an no motion independent artist would say. Y’all all turn to conspiracy theorists to explain why you not popping.
@@kloserlookmusic be so trash talkin bout they can’t blow cuz they won’t join the Illuminati 😂

i remember hearing this everywhere, getting a paid shout out on rap news accounts, its insane how quick people fall nowadays
You never know who you know. It’s obvious that many artist coming out had threats from their own set. There is always something going around. Obviously in the video he made he was around some type of affiliation.
Loyalty over royalty is also a brim thing especially B.H.B
Y’all capping SET and POLITICS was 🔥
Just being a "blood" from NY is in itself fake. 😂
