I’m a huge Mac fan always will be… back in 2014 a close friend of mine knew Mac’s end would come sooner than later.. he wasn’t one of us he was sent here to show us things… as far as Mac’s team and the people around him… they were some shitty people TreeJ being the worst but links theory doesn’t sound impossible it sounds a lot like what happened with LaLaLa and not crediting the producer of the beat Mac was strategic and the people around him were not the type to do the right thing

RIP MAC, still hits me every time. Nobody wanted to have that conversation until it was too late. He was absolutely beloved in life, and I liked his music. But he was an addict and that was that. Could have been prevented.
Addiction is a DISEASE bro. And it's a very hard one to come back from. I know from personal experience being addicted to opiates more than half my life. It's extremely hard to get people out of that. And it's even harder to convince someone to seek help when other parts of their lives are still functioning or even highly successful. Then there's the anxiety/depression that are often present as well and that makes it even harder to treat the addiction. If people with all the money in the world can't do it, then clearly we're still struggling to find the best ways to deal with this issue. Maybe preventable, but far less so than you might think. Sadly, there's a reason most addicts don't make it. It's a vicious, dangerous, and INSIDIOUS disease that I don't wish on anyone.

Something like this shouldn't be a career ender for him in my opinion. While what he said about Mac was pretty messed up due to timing, I think his career turning out the way it did is even more messed up when there are plenty of rappers that are just awful people and have done heinous things, but have no trouble getting positive attention from rap fans. Honestly, I still like his music and his last few albums are still better than a lot of what's blowing up in the mainstream, shame he can't escape this shadow and no one really gives him his flowers.

People are assholes, man. Not Goldlink, but folks who can't accept this was just a guy who was in his feelings about stuff he wanted to say when he was alive making the mistake of posting. If you read the thing, it comes off more as a dude who is sad over something he can't ever resolve than a guy who is hating. Even if he was terrible for doing it, nothing here is remotely unforgivable.

Anderson flipped out because he was totally misunderstanding what was going on, and then he used that to turn people against GoldLink. Anderson was straight up being an emotional asshole because he didn't want to try viewing GoldLink through a lens of standard respect; He'd rather make a post on social media than actually talk to GoldLink. That is for a fact what happened.
This was like a year after Mac's passing. Say what you want about grief, but I think that Anderson should have better control over his emotional reactions a year later. At that point, there's a big difference between reminiscing over what you missed and getting straight-up angry because someone made a statement that has a grey area, like life tends to.
I kind of want to play devil's advocate because the "what if" is a pretty intriguing outcome to think about.

This situation is really sad for me cos ive been rocking with GoldLink since the beginning and his music is so underrated and amazing. Sadly, he never recovered from this. I hope he makes a comeback and just makes good music again instead of embracing being a villain which didn’t work out for him even his latest album HARAM was a fail because of that. I will always be a fan of his music though.
