    I’m a religious (Muslim) practitioner and ur videos r always comforting to me despite be not being Italian practitioner. Keep up the good work, your videos have encouraged me to find out the spiritual path works for me, and be more educated, even tho me and u have different practices and beliefs

    I don't veil but I always love a nice looking veil. I was walking through that walk bridge in Boston during my senior field trip and we walked by a veil in a case and I said to myself "Damn, that is a nice looking veil" True story
    Amazing video!!

    I also spray my head coverings with L'aqua di San Giovanni. Usually, it's just a random bandana or my favorite beanie (with my favorite band logo) and I'll wear the latter out in public to protect from unwanted energies. I don't really veil in my practice unless I'm doing specific work , especially with my patron saint (who happens to be San Giovanni himself lol)
    I'm learning to embrace veiling slowly, as a masc presenting trans man who's trying to deconstruct from the sexist stuff in religion. been considering some more ideas now that i see this

    Thank you! This helps a lot with ideas on what I can do for veiling. I might try making my own veils too (eventually)
    As for spray bottles, grocery store and drugstores (probably the bigger ones, but maybe smaller ones too) have empty spray bottles in the hair section. I found out about it on accident a couple years ago. Literally the same size as the one you held up. I use it for magic waters and other such things. =D

    When I turned seven I started experimenting with covering my head. My family hated it. I used hoodies, I used like amish bonnets I used regular bonnets and I used scarfs and dorags like idk why but I've always had this thing with covering my head especially around those who aren't like super close family

    this video was really informative! Also, amazon or a drugstore might carry spraybottles , my drugstore has them! :) I'm curious about if you *have* to use candles in practice. one of my family members has asthma, and I don't want to give her an asthma attack. I've been told that you are supposed to use them for spells & representing fire?

    • @harrycrossland2841
      @harrycrossland2841 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You don't have to use candles in spells at all. If you subscribe to the wiccan circle casting practice like I sometimes do then you will need a candle to represent fire BUT, it doesn't need to be lit. Also candles shouldn't be too much of a problem for asthma I don't think 🤔 though I'm obviously not a doctor 😅 incense would definitely be an issue though. You can also just use these outside or in a well-ventilated space. Hope I could help 👋🏻

    I have the same dogwood veil from jewitches! Also I wanted to ask, I know most practitioners don't want to share specific prayers they use but I was wondering if you had any resources or tips for how to write or choose prayers? Would you reccomend someone to have an "all purpose" prayer that can be said over any herb/tool etc?

    • @ChaoticWitchAunt
      @ChaoticWitchAunt  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      In my tradition, I tend to oscillate towards either folk Catholic prayers (a Hail Mary always works) or Italian prayers (especially against the evil eye/hexes/curses). For making a prayer, you can call on a spirit/deity for protection, ask for assistance, and go from there! Or pray to a plant spirit for the same purpose.

    Any suggestions on repair? Or would you repurpose as an altar cloth or wrap for tools (like cards)?

    • @ChaoticWitchAunt
      @ChaoticWitchAunt  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I would either repurpose or try to sew it together - however I find that it looks kind of funny/falls kind of funny after.

    • @harrycrossland2841
      @harrycrossland2841 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It depends on what the veil looks like. You can probably just fold the veil the same way as the tear I don't know but a quick stitch job or a new altar cloth couldn't hurt 😅

    hey auntie, ik you use they/them so i wanted to ask as a very fem trans guy, do you ever feel like veiling kind of messes with your gender presentation? i really love veiling, its really important to me as an empath and a follower of hades, but I notice I tend to get misgendered a lot more /: thoughts ?

    • @DoodleDoo2
      @DoodleDoo2 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      They’ve worn more feminine outfits in the past and they’ve wore a veil in that outfit. I’m pretty sure they’ve mentioned or implied that they wear veils when they feel more feminine, but I could be wrong as I’m not them ❤

    • @ChaoticWitchAunt
      @ChaoticWitchAunt  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      Great question! I tend to wear smaller veils (like bandanas) when I want to present more masc. I do find that I wear longer/larger veils when I want to be more femme presenting, but am also experimenting with toggling a longer/more decorative veil with a more masc outfit! I do tend to get misgendered pretty frequently/with or without veiling, so I may not notice as much as a difference while veiling.
